I have enjoyed dining here since they opened. The food is always delicious, the service is excellent and I love the decor. This restaurant is not far from my home but I honestly didn't frequent it often because when they first opened up they didn't serve alcohol and I enjoy a mimosa or expresso martini when I'm having breakfast at a restaurant. So I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they now serve alcohol so I'm sure I'll be dining here more frequently.

Food is very good and the staff were amazing!! They have different varieties of breakfast and lunch menu options. Everything we ordered was delicious. I truly recommend The Cracked Egg.

It was my first time in this area, and I was looking for a good breakfast spot while waiting for a friend. After several suggestions, I settled on Cracked Egg and was pleasantly surprised. The outside is pretty standard, but the interior is lovely and lively. My wait staff was friendly and attentive. I would say the menu was a bit overwhelming, mainly because there were so many items I wanted to try. I settled with the French toast lychee, which is two pieces of French toast with fruit, nuts, strawberries, and a milky cream, which was very delicious. I also got a side of eggs and turkey bacon with potatoes, which were also very good overall. I had a great experience with the cracked egg. If it wasn't so far, I can see myself going there almost every weekend. There were so many more items that I wanted to try. I will give them another go if I'm ever back in that area. For my first experience, I would have to give cracked eggs a 4 1/2 out of 5.

Food was very good. My waffle was a little over done, but that chicken 10/10. Service was upbeat and very friendly. The ambiance was gorgeous and clean. Beautiful plants were on the ceiling and walls. Unmentioned 2$ processing fee for card users. But overall great experience.

The Good Great staff, friendly service, beautiful and welcoming seating area The Middling The Green chilaquiles were super tasty with fresh tortilla chips but the portion was kinda stingy, for the price, more on that later. Eggs Benedict were also quite tasty. maybe could have used a little more of the hollandaise sauce. Chicken and Waffles were the most disappointing. while the waffles were not bad and was delivered with a great playing the chicken (patty) was definitely something that was frozen and devoid of any flavor. Interesting maple syrup that was seerved with it had a little kick to with some flakes of a spice sprinkled within did help set the dish apart from your standard fare. THE BAD Price!!! Each meal was an average of $16 which also included and up charge of $1 since they had eggs. this place is called the Cracked Egg, being the star of your dishes should not mean being charged extra. make sure you bring cash because they charge an extra 3.5% when paying with credit/debit oh and an automatic 18% gratuity was added for our party of 4. usually this is reserved for parties of 6 or more. I didn't see any posting of this being added anywhere. Sooo, this meal before eating or ordering is already subject to a 20% surcharge! C'mon, no matter how tasty and nice the place is this type of practice is crazy.

This whole place is a vibe. The food is fantastic. The salad was fantastic. The Benedict Carnitas was amazing. Coffee was exceptional. Never a long way always a friendly service. Never an issue with parking. Very happy that this location came to my community and the prices were fantastic.

I was really excited to come but was a bit disappointed. The food was ok. Chilaquiles were a bit soggy. Service SUCKED!!! They did sit us down right away but it literally took like 10 minutes for someone to come and take our order. And once the waitress came she basically wanted our food order too. The food did come pretty fast but then the waitress forgot syrup and had not brought part of the drinks. It would take forever for her to come back. They add the 18% gratuity so I guess what's the point of giving good service if you are already going to get your tip money. There should be an option to adjust gratuity for crappy service.

I forgot the name of the spot before it changed but the owner was a very nice welcoming person. I pass by this spot often so today was the day to try them. The name changed and the decor was on point. They did a great job on it. Upon entering I was looking for someone to greet me, took 30 seconds and a lady appeared from a mini star toon kinda hidden. She took me and my guest to a table which I instructed her a booth is preferred since they were available. The server seemed nice, friendly took drink order and took meal order a few minutes later. Only odd thing is she asked me how I wanted my eggs on my skillet which was different since it stated it was egg whites hence the name Healthy Omelette. It only took 6 minutes and food was ready. Hmmm my omelette was wrong...on the menu it stated egg whites but I got regular scrambled eggs. I explained it to her and she said oh that's what I asked how u wanted the eggs. I showed her the picture I took and stated no other restaurant ever asked me how I wanted my eggs when it's egg whites. Nevertheless it came back correct and she apologized, her name was Erica. Hmmm kinda bland tasting. Thank God for Cholula hot sauce. Greasy potatoes which were missing sum umph. Not bad but not all good. The semi dry host, pre-seating me and guest without asking a booth or table, the mix up on eggs, bland tasting food costed 2 stars but a decent clean establishment.

She seated us in a quiet spot in the corner near the restrooms. Our waiter was attentive and funny. For me, he was the best part of the entire experience. I don't care much for breakfast food, so I had the American burger. I prefer my burgers well done but ordered it medium well because I didn't want the cooks to burn the patty. The burger was very greasy, and not very good. It also had a slight off-putting smell that made me worry about becoming ill. (Thankfully that didn't happen) It tasted okay, but I can't say that it was enjoyable. It was edible, which isn't saying much. The waffle fries were nothing spectacular either. I was disappointed with my food. I also had the mango smoothie, which was decent. My sister had the corned beef hash, eggs, toast, and potatoes. She really liked her food, especially the corned beef. My friend Shannon had the French toast flight, but she didn't eat much of it because she said it was too sweet. Our other friend had the eggs, bacon, and potatoes, which he enjoyed. I wouldn't visit Chicago Waffles again, but everyone else in my party said they would so take that for what it's worth. The restaurant was busy, but the staff did a great job running the show. The space is bright and cozy. We didn't feel rushed even though the restaurant was bustling. I'm giving it 3 stars since two of my friends enjoyed their food.

The food and service are always wonderful here!…read more This review is not about the restaurant. This is actually for the reservation system through the Yelp Guest Management system. I called the number provided here on the Yelp webpage for this restaurant. I had a phone conversation with what I now believe was an AI representative that told me that I had a reservation for a party of 6 for this coming Sunday. I felt like the phone call was a bit off, because AI can definitely give an uncanny valley feeling. Also, I knew from past experience with this restaurant that they didn't use to take reservations. I went to the restaurant's website to check it out and lo-and-behold the number is different! I called the restaurant's real number and asked about the reservation. The employee was very polite and kind and explained that they don't make reservations (first come, first serve). Thank you again to that kind employee, because that had to be a confusing call. Sorry about wasting your staffs' time with this by the way, Batter & Berries! I cannot imagine if I had brought my party of 6 to a very busy brunch spot expecting to get in right away because I thought I had booked a reservation, so I alerted the business on the call, and then I went to alert Yelp. Surely this is just a small mistake, and Yelp can get this broken AI reservation system taken down for this particular restaurant so this doesn't happen to anyone else. Surely this is not a big deal! Lol. Of course it was. I spent half-an-hour looking for ways that I could inform Yelp via customer chat, email, or even call. Nope! Yelp is now offering services to supposedly book tables for potential diners, but they still only have customer service for the businesses. I tried the one customer service number that Yelp does have (877-767-9357). I tried repeatedly to go through its AI menu. However, whenever I would answer that I was a customer and not a business, it would end the call. When I stated that I was a business just so that I could be directed to a human being, I was told by a very helpful representative that Yelp doesn't have human representatives that help non-advertising costumers or businesses. TL;DR Do not use the reservation feature on Yelp's website. They do not care if it is accurate, and there is no way to even inform Yelp of their mistake. And definitely no customer service or support for you as the person that used their broken system to make a fake reservation. But Batter & Berries itself? AWESOME!!! That 5 stars is for them. Negative 5,000 stars to Yelp for using a broken AI reservation system and having no support for when it inevitably creates problems for diners and the restaurants they want to enjoy. Edited to add: I just got done trying to fill out a correction on the phone number that Yelp has listed on this webpage for Batter & Berries as it is not correct. When I went to fill out the correction form Yelp auto-fills the information they have currently for the business listing. Would you all believe that they had the correct number for the business in the form already? So they know the correct number, but are putting their AI reservation number up instead. Why would they do that? I do not know, but I'd guess it's not for any selfless reasons. This will be the last time I use Yelp for anything, and I am looking into ways to report them for fraudulent advertisement at this point. I know it's probably silly, but changing the number to your broken AI system when you know the business' real number is a bit too much. The actual restaurant number at this location is (773) 248-7710 if anyone needs to get in touch with the real restaurant.

They didn't pay me (Also... oddly, my start date was put as a date well over a week before I started in the system, too). And, my hours WITH pay don't show online for almost 1 month after being there. Maybe they were pissed because I left after 2 full weekend days. But, when you have 2 part foreign speaking guys(with all those short ABBREVIATED-broken word sentences AND hesitating doing the training - it doesn't work too well. You have to ask 3 questions sometimes to get a simple answer on something being learned. Sometimes they made it sound more complex or acted like they don't feel like speaking, or you have to help them along with it all. don't know if the 2 Spanish speaking men just hoped I'd quit to have someone else there (maybe male or Spanish) in my place in time or what; and so they did what had to and sometimes changed what they told me after an hour or even 4 hours. That made me really upset (but didn't say much then). One woman in charge just said they "Get things done" like that's all that matters when it's unfair to have them train. Then, they have a crabby cook that glared at me from the time he first saw me. People aren't going to "make it" and EVENTUALLY die out if foreigner -TYPES (here long or not) push us out with little tricks like..."Oh we'll make this all-american one look like she isn't catching on. Couldn't tell you how many times I tried moving faster, when we were all asked to at times, and one of those dishwashers (or even others) would poke around like daydreaming BEHIND me. I could barely turn. (People have their ways to get someone to leave if want to and it has rarely been supervisors or management that do this, that I know of.) It's also rude to speak a foreign language anyway, around other workers most of the time. Some take it like it's avoiding certain workers and an excuse to not talk to them, or something similar to whispering (not knowing most of the time what's being said). Furthermore, If a worker gets sick to their stomach with a 104 fever after eating a meal they cooked for the employees and try calling in...doesn't work. I think they KEEP the voicemail filled. Or, possibly, it's because of guests leaving voicemails at the same number. They should have a separate voicemail for employees, if so. A few mentioned they don't like to give out cell numbers for that because they worry some if people won't show for work (depending on who). But eventually that could certainly happen. Remember people...say no to migrants unless they want to be in America's CULTURE, like not trying to take over things(even subtley). And, I'd personally say no to unfair workplaces that might use friendliness as a cover with some, and then not pay, also.

Not only were the crepes delicious (and with fresh fruit), but for a little breakfast spot in a strip mall I was VERY surprised by the beautiful presentation. I'm not someone who typically takes pictures of food, but I had to take a picture this time! The bacon was cooked just the way I like it, a little crispy + a little chewy = perfection. They do kind of crank the AC, and even as person who likes it a little chilly, I was a tad cold. But that's a very minor thing, and it would never prevent me from recommending this hidden gem! I'll definitely return to try some of the other breakfast options here, especially after the waitress told me everyone loves their pancakes.
