I used to come here when I was younger, typically for a steak burrito, but I've stopped because their portions and pricing--especially for the quality--have gone completely downhill. I've given them ample opportunities, thinking they would change, but even as of yesterday (12/14/2025), it's still the worst Mexican burrito restaurant I've ever been to. Never again. BOYCOTT EL FARO. Nothing will change until they see customers stop coming in just for their drunken fix.

I just love how I didn't feel heavy after the meal - too full or bogged down by grease. Every single bite was delicious, and I legit cannot wait to go back. The restaurant was busy but had plenty of seating. There were some ants under the table, but they quickly took care of them, and TBH, if I was an ant I'd be in that restaurant too finding food joy. The tips were tender and falling off the bone. He didn't care for the fries and loved the baked beans, even though they were a bit too spicy for him. My chicken was also very tender and I enjoyed the smokiness. The green beans had the right amount of spice although they were not as spicy as the baked beans. The mac-n-cheese was creamy. We were too full to order dessert. Maybe next time. This is a great neighborhood staple and will definitely be back.
