Our food that was forced to go w my bottle of steak sauce / object I was gonna use to smash someone in the head if necessary

Coked out waitress complained we came in an hour before they closed, then proceeded to make a drug deal in the entrance way. I witnessed this when I was in the gambling room cashing out my ticket. The waitress who she called her "boyfriend" (who looked twenty something years younger than her) started arguing and he left and came back twice. The waitress said her "boyfriend" was drunk and asked us to leave and made us put our food in to-go boxes because her "boyfried / coke dealer" was acting crazy. We left and the "boyfriend" opened his car door and watched us leave 1/13/25. My girlfriend was scared for her life. Food was ok.... I also took a bottle of steak sauce in case i needed to defend myself in the parking lot. I really regret leaving a tip and don't think we'll ever go back to this location

Nice stop on the way home from Midway Airport for a late night meal. Had eggs, bacon, sausage and pancakes for under $7.00. The place is impeccably clean and updated. Food was above average.

They opened this location in January. Cheto, Michelle and Veronica (I came in near shift change) were all very friendly for my late breakfast, around 2pm. I found everything needed salt n pepper to taste, but then everything shined through. I got my belly filled and left with half my steak, a third of the potatoes, (I'll mix those in with some scrambled eggs tomorrow) a biscuit, ($1 surcharge) and a cup of sausage gravy. ($.50 surcharge) Bottomless cup of coffee without asking too. I had just learned of S n E recently and enjoyed my first visit in McCook too. Great to have 24/7 diner in this area. I had been planning a breakfast in the area some 33 hours ago. There just isn't a bad time of the day to enjoy breakfast. I love they still offer a counter, so many places have fazed them out. Great retro diner feel is always a plus for me. Price point is on target too.

This restaurant spot has gone through many businesses over the last ten years with months or years of being closed in between. I'd tried them all and was never impressed enough to return a second time. What a pleasant change here at Steak N Egger! Having been to other Steak N Eggers I knew we'd get a great value for the money. This spot not only provides value it's also beautiful, shiny, and new. All the previous businesses never invested a great deal in this building but that's all changed with the Steak N Egger folks. We ordered some soda and iced tea to start. Free refills but at just $1.40. The menu isn't huge but for a menu available 24 hours a day it offers something for everyone. Next we ordered the Steak N Stack (an average breakfast steak, two eggs, and three griddle cakes containing corn meal) and a BLT sandwich with fries. The griddle cakes were outstanding, and the BLT was so packed full of ingredients that half had to be taken home. The steak was a typical cheap breakfast steak but for the price it was surely acceptable. The waitress was fast and continually attentive. She entered the order on her tablet and it immediately printed out at the cooking station. Thus the food was ready pretty fast as well. Checkout was very simple too with having all new modern equipment. The restroom was spotless. They clearly want to keep everything looking new for a while. The facility also has a live video gaming (21+) area with five machines. But it seems every food place in suburbia has them now. I can't think the odds are all that good. This will be my Steak N Egger going forward. Great experience.

This was just some of the sites of this lovely dinner.

The staff was…read moresuper friendly too, they were on it the whole time, food came out right and drinks didn't sit empty. I ordered the bone-in chicken with the mango habanero sauce. Mostly because it sounded good and I was hungry. First bite... yup, that was iit. Chicken was juicy, skin had a nice crisp, not soggy at all. Big pieces too. The sauce was the star. Sweet up front, real mango flavor, then the heat slowly kicks in. Bu just enough to make you pause for half a second. Then you go right back in. Everything came out hot and fresh. A little messy, but that's kind of the point. Fingers were a disaster by the end. No regrets. I'd go back just for that dish. Haven't even thought about what else is on the menu yet. That chicken stuck with me.

(wrong) we came back in and explained to them we were not here for the party we had reservations for a reunion. bartender and servers look like deer in head lights didn't know what I was talking about. after a few minutes and more of guests arrive then finally oh yeah reservation. Lets put tables together so I helped the server put 4 tables together. Im going to make this long story short My food was tasty but cold (i had the pasta) half of the guest received appetizer plates the other half were given nothing. (we did finally get them 30 - 45min later) Half the guests received a dinner knife and fork folded in a napkin the other half received plastic knife and spoon in plastic wrap. One of the main reasons for my yelp review is the male bartender after being ignored for some time he was finally coining to me I thought to take my order NOPE., " I was told you can't stand there its for servers only" Then continued to get ignored. funny story, while I was at the bar being ignored I notice another patron had ordered the same pasta dish I ordered, OMG the steam coming out of that dish. I wish my pasta dish was that hot. What I don't understand around 6pm there a very few customers inside the bar and like 4 to 5 servers and one bartender. So why so slow to get us our table to get us all plates and to give us all proper utensils. The Good : As already mentioned, the food was good, wings, burgers, pasta, shrimp, avocado dip, etc but mine was cold placing our order for dinner was fast because someone was smart enough to have two servers attend us. The music was good. The atmosphere was good, no trouble, no hoods price was average to any other establishment. I could recommend anything is if there is a table of 10 or more you should one server assign to that table only help if needed. On our next outing we might come here again but hope things will be different when it comes to our service.

We walked back out and found the door to the restaurant. Staff is warm and friendly and we were seated quickly. Our server was Robert and he was great! He gave his recommendations for which sides would go best with our meals and I felt they were spot on. They give complimentary bread and butter. It was warm and delicious. Hubby ordered the rib tips with fries, baked beans, and had the hot and mild barbecue sauce on the side. I ordered the 1/2 dark smoked chicken dinner with mac-n-cheese, spicy Cajun green beans, and spicy honey garlic barbecue sauce. I agree with Robert, that the sauce pairs very well with the chicken. The tips were tender and falling off the bone. He didn't care for the fries and loved the baked beans, even though they were a bit too spicy for him. My chicken was also very tender and I enjoyed the smokiness. The green beans had the right amount of spice although they were not as spicy as the baked beans. The mac-n-cheese was creamy. We were too full to order dessert. Maybe next time. This is a great neighborhood staple and will definitely be back.

The lighting and décor felt festive without being overwhelming, and the space itself is huge. There's plenty of room whether you're dining with family, catching a game with friends, or just unwinding with drinks after a long day. Speaking of drinks, they're very reasonably priced--definitely worth opening a tab and relaxing for a while. For food, I tried Chuck's Wings with roasted vegetables and Cajun fries. Nothing is ever truly perfect, but these wings came close. The sauce was spot-on--easily some of the best I've had. The vegetables were cooked just right and packed with flavor, and the Cajun fries tied everything together perfectly. Overall, this spot delivers on both atmosphere and quality. Definitely worth checking out.

It was a very busy Easter Sunday rush here. Right down the street from Saint Barbara's , nice big corner lot- easy to find. Man oh man, this place is really hustling and working as a Team! They have many options for seating. You can sit at the counter , you may sit in a booth or even at a table. I didn't wait too long, and thought the portions are super generous. Definitely can share a plate. $20! Omelette, hash brown, 2 slices of toast and coffee. The smiles and charm of the place are free. Love that they offer the Cholula Hot Sauce! I'd like to say a special shout out for their acts of charitable works that was posted on the entrance. Maybe we can all do what we can as well, help each community. Thank you for helping this nice community. I saw many lunch & dinner options going around to other tables , those look tasty as well. So I'll need to return. Hope you enjoy this experience as well.
