Since finding Dalia's a few years ago (I live about 3 blocks away) it has become my go-to for breakfast or lunch. The prices are comparable with most others but the difference is the quality and quantity you get for your cash. I have referred or brought quite a few people here for the first time and every one of them that I know are still coming here. One example I use is this: A 5-egg puffy omelet with hash browns that comes with 2 large pancakes. I usually eat half the omelet and box half and also box the pancakes to take home. In total, i get 3 breakfasts for $11.99. They have an extensive menu and all is very good. Also, for lunch their burgers are so large that, again, half goes home for the next day. The ladies that own and run the diner are family and are very attentive. Your coffee cup never gets empty. If you go there, one item worth trying is the Banana Foster Waffles. Today the second time I have breakfast at this restaurant. Which is a tiny restaurant in a strip mall. 2 guys working in the kitchen, and a female working in front. Which I have to say the only place that serves Whip Cream and Chocolate syrup with chocolate milk, or at least she asked me. My son and I were looking for a new place for brunch, and we decided to come here. It is located in a strip mall and has ample parking. The diner is quaint and has lovely decor. Staff is friendly and welcoming. We both ordered their waffle and eggs entree, which comes with bacon or sausage links. We both chose bacon. Overall, the food is good, and so are the portions. This is a great breakfast diner! I stopped in between visiting estate sales one weekend as Yelpers seemed to recommend them. Service was prompt and friendly. Our server came back a few times to top off coffee, which is nice because I drink a lot of it. We've been here twice and each time it was packed until about 12:30pm. It is mainly a brunch place. The place reminds me of family dinners in small towns with a Main Street. The menu has extensive options for crepes, pancakes, benedicts, hashes, skillets, etc. The juice is not fancy fresh squeezed, but there are plenty of the expected choices. The portions are very filling. We ordered the Dalia's Skillet, Dalia's Breakfast, and the Chicken Frittata. Once the side French toast ad pancakes are placed on the table, we all realized how much food there is. I appreciate that they do not over salt and over oil everything. Of course, the bacon and sausage are saltier than the eggs as it should be, but it gives me a little room to add salt, pepper, or hot sauce to my taste. read more

A good place if you are trying to escape the lively city and want to enjoy good breakfast place. This place is a good option but definitely not in my top 3 for best brunch places. My bf and I got the frittatas. He got the fiesta frittata and covered it all with hot sauce. The portion was pretty big and we had leftovers but the meal was blasé. It was missing a more dominant flavor. I could say the same for my frittata. I could see that I was eating peppers, mushrooms and onions but I could not taste them. I was visiting my sister who uses a walker and the first thing we notice is how nice the people are. They helped us in and to the table making sure she was ok with the seating. The place itself is very welcoming and has a homey feel and is different from big chain breakfast places. They give you a lot of food which is like what you'd get as a home cooked meal. We went for breakfast this morning to Dalia's Pancake House, 10719 Roberts Rd. in Palos Hills. It's just a little storefront, nothing big, but you'll find great food and a warm welcome there. Dalia's has 5 stars on Yelp so we gave it a try. If you'll looking for a cozy place where all the handsome older guys know where the food is good, Dalia's is the place to go. I had the Dalia's Classic and it was delicious, it consisted of sausage, 2 eggs, hash browns, and toast. It was fairly crowded but I was greeted and seated very quickly.
