The vegan chocolates are worth it, especially the MMMole (Only $5 for the two pack) and then I got the vegan truffle pack for $14 that the bf suggested.. all chocolates are made in Texas and with ingredients only made and found in Texas. Inviting and fresh small space with the owner renting out the upstairs as an Airbnb to supplement the foot traffic-discreet, although right on the corner street -it beckons you to check it out and then shop* well worth the splurge and the bf agrees

Absolutely worth the visit. Most unique chocolate selection. Loved the home feel of the shop. I honestly thought I was walking into someone's home. The gentleman who welcomed me and provided taste tests of the chocolate was informative and had the best vibe. I could have spent more time and tasted every chocolate they had.

During a Baltimore holiday Covid convalescence, my foodie brother sent me a get well gift box of Dude, Sweet Chocolate goodies from Texas. I missed everything Christmas, but this definitely made my new year spirits bright. A Holiday in Cambodia Bar was not just tasty and unique, it was an EXPERIENCE. When I saw "Pop Rocks" in the list of ingredients it took me back to my childhood. The 100% dark chocolate mixed with palm sugar, black pepper and these kickin' carbon dioxide mini mouth parties made for a welcome break from a month long home bound bed stay. Also tasty was the Crack in a Box Chocolate Bark made with candied salted nuts. Dude, so good!

This is an adorable chocolate shop in bishop arts. I like that it's a little tucked away and not on the main busy road. They had a lot of unique flavor combinations and i really liked that we were able to sample anything we wanted. This is especially helpful when you have those unique flavor combinations. We really enjoyed the belle helene truffles and the fabio truffle. We also got the pony boy chocolate bar and the pebbles chocolate bar. Everything was very high quality and delicious. My mom and i are both chocoholics and loved it. Would love to try more and will definitely be returning for more! Great place to stop by when you're in the bishop arts neighborhood!! They had cute but simple christmas decor with some cute cat items thrown in. I love the simple yet cute vibe of this shop! Also love the simple and cute packaging/product names!

This place isn't just your average chocolatier. Come by and see how the masterminds behind this place took the time to really understand & explore what flavors compliment chocolate the best. They take ingredients from all around the world and pair them together. My husband and I were treated to a tasting by an awesome employee. Items that I was unsure about surprised me with how amazing they taste. The products here take your taste buds on an amazing wild ride. Whether you're a local or visiting, stop by for some great tasting chocolate.

Just came back to get some more "Salami". My first review still stands. Great store, friendly people, great chocolate. I mean, the first thing I asked my friends when I arrived is: Is Dude's opens be can we go to get some chocolate? I did some shopping to share some with my friends back home. I only wished we could have tasted some of their new stuff but I understand that's may not possible as we live in these interesting times right now....

Dude, Sweet Chocolate is as unique as its name. This is not your normal chocolatier (and this is a chocolatier and NOT a chocolate maker; they use top-end French-made and Ecuadorian-made couverture chocolate to make chocolate treats, but they don't make chocolate). From the decor to the flavors, it's unique. Sometimes that's brilliant and tasty, at other times not so much. The decor and naming are a kind of "wink wink" kitsch. Chubby Nuts are candied, salted assorted nuts, covered in white and dark chocolate and dusted with powdered sugar. Truffles carry names such as Luchador, Flower Child, and Ready to Rumble, and more. Fudges go by When Pigs Fly, Black MMMole, and Albatross, and more. Treats bear cute names such as Break Up Potion, Fruity Crack, Hippie Crack, and One Night Stand Potion. Skulls and trashy but classy decor abound in this place. The names of the treats belie some clever and unique flavor combinations. As previously noted, sometime these flavors work and sometimes they don't. But everyone's tastes are different, and you are likely to find things you love and others you loathe here. Luck for us all, this shop allows unlimited tasting of everything they sell. Taste away. Discard those not to your liking and buy some of those that delight your senses. Even if you don't find anything you like the taste of here (and that's unlikely, given the variety), you should visit just to check out the vibe.

There's a big water area for them to play with pipes and running water. There's also an outside area with rock walls and climbing areas. You can park your stroller at the start where there are bathrooms and hand washing area as well as a place to fill your water bottles. The museum itself was really nice with multiple floors of interesting topics from dinosaurs to space to an earthquake simulator. I think for those floors it's best to be 3-4 or older. Everything is still very stroller accessible!

A perfect spot to get a little culture in between meals. Honestly, a must hit for out of town visitors looking for something fun to do that does not involve eating. Be sure to hit the gift store too, a museum gift shop is usually well curated, and this one is no exception! (though I will say the lady working the store had a sh:tty attitude)

The DMA has a supporter membership for $120. It includes parking which would cost you $20 otherwise. You also get two free admission tickets that you can use to view the museum's collections or any special exhibitions each and every day of the year. The membership will also provide a discount at the museum store and in the snack bar. Visit twice during the year, and the membership more than pays for itself. You can buy your membership online, print the receipt, and show it for free parking. Once inside the venue, show the receipt at the check-in desk to get your free tickets to the special exhibit(s). Your DMA cards will be mailed to you in four weeks, in the mean time, use that printed receipt for everything. We renewed our membership this weekend April 2026 and went to see the Samurai Collection. Metalwork is not a favorite of mine, but I was still fascinated by the stories presented on the placards throughout the exhibit and I certainly appreciated the beautiful, intricate craftsmanship presented in each piece. I didn't realize that the Samurai swords and armor had been banned from production in Japan, so the metal workers pivoted and learned to become artisans. They started to make and repair metal embellishments, lanterns, and incense burners for the numerous temples in the country. Many of the items in this collection were from Kyoto and Nara, both places my husband and I visited in November 2009. The full body armor was fascinating. Little pieces of leather were coated in metal, painted, and woven tightly together to form a moveable, but protective layer over the body. The workmanship was exquisite. The exhibit had a few short videos you could watch to learn about the work. I especially liked the 30 second clip about the process of making cloisonné. These vases are beautiful and the process to make each one is detailed and meticulous. Kids could collect a postcard-sized scavenger hunt near the entrance and use that to stay in engaged throughout the visit. At the end, there was a sign on the wall with the answer key pictures showing which art pieces help the intricate designs they were looking for. The DMA has a permanent collection that includes a variety of art from around the globe, as well as multiple special exhibits throughout the year. Everyone is bound to find something that delights them and inspires conversation and wonder. Worth a visit!

I was misled and thought there was a mechanical bull.. there is not unfortunately but there is like a fake bull you can pay and take photos with. We happened to walk in right in the middle of a line-dancing class, which was super fun to watch! It's pretty amazing how quickly the dancers, both men and women, picked up the steps and choreography. They were all super good! Afterwards, it transitioned into open floor dancing, which was equally entertaining in my opinion! As a first-timer, it was a total blast and it's easy to see why it's such an iconic tourist destination.
