Frozen lemonade- strawberry mint, regular lemonade and peach mango

So good! If y'all like a sweet treat this is the spot! They have frozen lemonade - all kinds of unique cookies and cupcakes! And they are delicious! Such a gem and must try if you're in Dallas!

Carnell & Crystal are a mom and daughter power house duo! Both whippin' it up in the kitchen with their bomb ass desserts. And both ladies were a pure joy to talk to with excellent customer service. Treated me like royalty even though I walked in two minutes before closing for an organization meeting... a goodies pickup for the squad! I sampled some fresh strawberry mint/regular lemonade mixed together. All it was missing was a shot of D'usse, Bumbu or some brown for certain! I'll definitely be pulling up during the summer for this little combo mama put me on to! They've literally got all the desserts you can think of. Peach Cobbler, Banana Pudding, a variety of flavored Cheesecake and Pies, cookies (stuffed with cream filling) and they even offer Vegan cupcakes! I've mentioned before my love for cheesecakes. My banana pudding cheesecake (BPC) was soooooo good, I literally story'd about it while I was eating it. The best BPC I've had in town (yes better than Val's)! The regular banana pudding was just as good too. I am obsessed with it because the custard seems like it's from scratch and there were little to no bananas involved!!! I prefer no bananas cause they get all soggy and leave banana slime pools in my pudding :/ The Strawberry Crumble Cupcake was really good. What I enjoyed the most was the cream filling (in all the cupcakes). It was the additional moisture needed but the strawberry flavor was banging. I've got the Nutty Brittle Cupcake, Red Velvet and Cookies n Creme Cookie to try and I'll update my review after each bite! Interior is decorated befittingly for a dessert shop with pinks and pops of glitter and prints. Be sure to support this black owned business! Update 1: late midnight snack craving ended up demolishing the red velvet cookie. Soft, crunchy edges and just melt in your mouth goodness!

Never have I ever thought that I could combine my two favorite desserts into one but @carnells_cakery accomplished this task! This is a peach cobbler cheesecake and it took a lot of power not to eat this in the store! This cheesecake is super flavorful with big chunks of peaches and that good cobbler crust (what's cobbler without crust) and a smooth, creamy cheesecake. This will definitely take care of your sweet tooth. This dessert store is #BlackOwned in South Dallas and they serve many varieties of cheesecakes and cupcakes infused with cookies on top. The store is super cute and the customer service is absolutely the best. I felt at home and comfortable knowing I was about to indulge in some deliciousness! Make sure you try them out if you're needing to get that sweet tooth taken care of!

I started with the croque monsieur, and it was exactly what I was craving. The cheese was perfectly melted and bubbly, and that hint of dill on top really pulled it all together. I also grabbed a slice of the lorraine quiche, which was incredibly savory with a crust that was so buttery and flaky it practically melted in my mouth. For dessert, the chocolate kouign-amann was a total standout, super crispy on the outside with those rich, sweet layers inside. I paired it with an iced chai latte, which was perfectly spiced and not overly sweet. They have a small outdoor seating section that is perfect for catching some fresh air while you eat. The whole experience felt so authentic and high-quality. I am already looking forward to my next visit!

They have a few tables and chairs inside and outside for sitting. The tarts are amazing and definitely recommend you take one to go. The croissants are delicious, buttery, and flaky. The coffee is a nice addition but, the main attraction is the bakery! The bakery is in the Bishop Arts area so, you can find some free parking depending on when you visit. On the weekends, the line will move fast so, don't be afraid to wait.

The first thing I noticed was how beautiful everything is. The décor is warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed. And yes...those are real trees. That actually matters to me. I love restaurants with a beautiful aesthetic because it makes the whole experience feel special. Good food is wonderful, but good food in a beautiful space? That's even better. The menu is perfect if you're dining with friends because there are so many things to share. We ordered the traditional sampler, and it was such a fun way to try several Guatemalan dishes. Every plate that came out looked fresh, colorful, and made with care. The cheese pupusa was delicious, and the cotija cheese was the perfect finishing touch. Then there were the plantains. I actually stopped our server to ask, "Do y'all make the plantains from scratch?" They do. And it shows. They were fresh, perfectly cooked, and so good that I kept reaching for another one. Honestly, they may have been my favorite thing on the table. The steak was cooked exactly medium, had a great char, and was full of flavor. Portions were generous across the board, which is always a win because leftovers are basically tomorrow's gift to yourself. The spinach artichoke dip surprised me. If you're someone who genuinely loves spinach, you'll probably be very happy because spinach definitely got top billing in that relationship. It tasted incredibly fresh, and it made me realize I apparently prefer my artichokes to be just a little more competitive. The service was warm and welcoming all evening. I ordered a red sangria that never quite found its way to the table, but honestly, by the end of the meal I was so full that my stomach had already voted "maybe next time." One of my favorite parts of the evening was learning more about San Martín's history. Knowing it began in Guatemala and is especially known for its bakery and breakfast immediately put breakfast on my "I need to come back for this" list. By the end of the meal, we were full, happy, and already talking about what we'd order next time. That's usually the sign of a restaurant I'll happily recommend. Beautiful atmosphere. Fresh food. Generous portions. Outstanding plantains. I'd give San Martín a solid 9 out of 10, and I'm already looking forward to coming back.

I was instantly reminded why it is such a Dallas GEM! I did not pop in to eat this time, but to find a nice spot to work with a friend on our laptops and yap over a coffee! And while we weren't planning to do much, the experience was still a 10/10! I ended up ordering a White Chocolate latte and it was AMAZING! You can tell they actually put time and effort into their coffee and lattes! Everything is also brewed fresh! Which I love! My friend ordered a artesian hot chocolate and wow! It was probably some of the best hot chocolate I have ever had! It was def made with real cocoa! We did end up splurging on some pastries, because DUH! It's it so hard to ignore the bakery section when it is so stunning and filled with beautiful baked goods! I got a oreo croissant and tortuga concha! I did not eat them (My bf did) but they looked so great! I did try my friends banana custard filled bread and that was great! I would go back for it! Overall, we ended up sitting inside of their beautiful space for hours, just talking and catching up! It was amazing and comfy! We def want to return for some of their dinner and drink specials too! Highly recommend!
