My wife and I both love the place. It's the first place my family go when they visit. Although I'm normally not a donut eater, these are worth going in for. The space seems tight when the place packs out, but the store put out a few tables and chairs outside to help out. They were open for only a few hours a day in the beginning, but they actually listened to customer comments and extended their hours. They have reasonable prices and there are always samples on the counter. I recommend the place to anyone passing through. The staff is very nice, and they do a great job of keeping the place clean. I came in on the weekend and was surprised how busy they were! I must say they handled it very smoothly. We didn't wait long at all and the donuts, oh the donuts were sooooo good! Under-cooked donuts with too much glazing and burnt coffee This place is not properly designed to handle more than just a few customers on Sunday morning. Their donuts-making equipment is something you would use at home rather than in a business. Donuts were grossly under-cooked and fell apart as soon as lifted from the box with chocolate glazing dripping all over the table. Coffee tasted nasty just like the donuts. Ate half a donut and threw the rest out with the coffee. No comparison with Dunkin Donuts or Krispy Kreme. Definitely not coming back. read more

I recently visited Duck Donuts in Williamsburg, VA. Upon entering, I was a bit confused because there were people sitting at tables and I was not sure if we're going to be served or if we needed to serve ourselves but the clerk recognized the confusion on my face and yelled a friendly, "May I help you"? The clerk was very helpful, told us about their product and pointed out the hundreds of rubber duckies on display. The donuts were the most incredible tasting confection that I had consumed in a long time. So, all in all, my visit was a happy one and if you need a motorcycle duck or dinosaur duck they've got you covered. read more

As a student at the College of William & Mary, I have bought Duck Donuts on a number of occasions for club events, and people always rave about how delicious they are. When I went yesterday to pick up donuts for an event, I accidentally went after they were already closed. The employees were still there, and they were kind enough to make us over 4 dozen donuts anyway- they even put green and gold sprinkles on them to celebrate our school colors. Duck Donuts is an impressive establishment both because of the amazing products and their dedication to their customers. We'll definitely be back again soon! read more

My first experience with duck donuts and while they certainly have an awesome variety, the service was just the opposite!! I ordered 4 donuts and there were only 3 other customers at the time. After 20 Minutes, I walked back up to the counter down choir about my order. Very nice employee advised me that they were shortstaffed today. I read a recommendation for this place online. When we travel, we love to eat local. I was shocked by the fun of this place and impressed with the taste. The way they do it is original and fun for the kids. From bare donuts with cinnamon sugar to glaze with Oreos, everyone was satisfied! It was fun watching them make our "special" donuts. This place is "ok". It does not leave me wanting to come back for more. The donut was warm but it was so heavy. Sorry Duck, this donut was just not for me! Although, I do think the concept of "order your own" donut is unique. I have never seen that before. For that concept I will give 3 stars. So delicious! The staff is always nice and it is very clean inside. I watch what I eat so I don't go here often, but when I do it's totally worth the calories! In my opinion, you MUST eat your donut here to truly experience it's full deliciousness. They make each donut to order and it's piping hot and decorated or topped however you want. My favorite donut is my own creation - a piping hot, fresh donut rolled in cinnamon sugar with a side of strawberry icing for dipping. Yum, I need to work out today so I can go get one this week! It's a base doughnut, then they dip it in different toppings. Sweet Frogs for doughnuts. But did anyone notice where their hands go? Covered vinyl gloved hands take the doughnut and start dipping it into toppings, as they change toppings, their hands move to under the table to a shelf where a wet rag lays. They use this rag to wipe their fingers between toppings. Then touch my doughnuts, then someone else's doughnuts. Then he wiped his nose, didn't remove his gloves, wash hands, and re-glove. But he did wipe his fingers on the wet rag on the shelf. My half dozen doughnuts, didn't even try them, went straight into the trash right by the front door. read more

5 out of 5. If you've never had a hot donut, you need a couple. I had only had Krispy Kreme for hot donuts and don't care for them. These Duck Donuts however are the best donuts I've ever had. A co-worker brought in Dunkin Donuts and it just did not compare! Dunkin Donuts tasted like they had been sitting there all morning but that is NOT the case with Duck Donuts. We absolutely love duck donuts. Our first visit was on vacation in Williamsburg and it was the highlight on our vacation this year a whole year later. The owner was working for both of our visits and was absolutely wonderful, super friendly and patient with our children who were overwhelmed with the numerous choices and great smells.
