The best part is that you get to pick 3 flavors of ice cream (for each scoop). This Bruster's is phenomenal. The ice cream is always fresh. If you don't like the cream you got, they will let you get something else without charge. They can be slow at times, but the people that work there are really nice. They have a drive thru which is so nice when it's rainy or cold. Decent ice cream but what's up with the "decent prices" comments?!? It's very difficult to find any item less than $6 and most of them are closer to $9 for one item! The service is nice and friendly, and my banana split was really good, but it's hard to believe that anybody can charge eight bucks for a milkshake, which is what they are charging and the reason why I didn't go that route. This has been our go to spot for ice cream, not for the service but for solely ICE CREAM. We have tried many establishments in the area and Bruster's really beats them all for its taste HOWEVER their customer service/efficiency needs massive improvement. The students who work there are soooo slow. Not once we had to wait less than 25 minutes in the line. No one is efficient and fast. They're like a lunch of sloths! Not sure if they haven't received adequate training or if they're told to take their time but I see my kids and many other kids getting pretty impatient for waiting that long! He was extremely helpful to my ice cream sampling frenzy. He put up with us a full 2 minutes when in steps Breanna- what I would be doing a great disservice if I didn't say she's the ice cream version of a somalier ! Take your puppies here for one of their FREE PUP CUPS! We love stopping by Bruster's on the way home from walking Colonial Williamsburg to get our puppies one of their pet-friendly ice cream cups. I assume they are free because we never get charged for them. I believe you have to at least order a cup for yourself. It comes with one scoop and a milk bone on top. Our dogs go crazy over them. We introduced our new puppy to it for the first time this visit and she started eating the cardboard it was so good. The staff is always very friendly and helpful.
