Firstly I would say the ice cream is good. It won't be a franchise if it wasn't so. The only reason I am not giving a 5-star review is because I felt a little rushed. I am pretty much the only adult with 3 children who absolutely don't know what they want even though they always end up with the same ice cream flavor they know and love, which is either cotton candy and oreo. There wasn't anyone after us, and if there would've been, I'd let them get ahead if that was the case. It wasn't so busy that they were swamped, rather it's steady enough that every customer who walks in can find a seat. read more

Tried 3 flavors. Peanut butter was great! Vanilla was fine, can't go wrong. But the lemon sorbet was a little disappointing, I expected it to be packed with bright or tart lemon flavor and it just lacked that punch that I want in lemon sorbet. read more

It's a B-R. Tastes like it. Smells like it. Looks like it. What really stood out though was the person that helped us. She was so absolutely cheerful. I was just walking by and saw the featured watermelon sorbet. What a delightful temptation on a hot day. The service was quick and there are some tables if you want to dine in like I did. The watermelon sorbet also has a swirl of raspberry, so it was a great flavor combination. The store was clean, they had a lot of great flavor options, and I was happy with my pick. Who doesn't love ice cream?! We're vacationing in Colonial Williamsburg and just had lunch. My sweet tooth kicked in and as we're walking and touring along the stores nearby I, I knew we had to stop by for some ice cream when I saw Baskin Robbins. There was a line and it moved fairly quick. They had two stations and the girls working behind the counter were pretty sufficient in getting every adult and kid orders in and out. My hubby and I ordered a banana split with 3 scoops (chocolate, vanilla and cheesecake) to share Don't forget the sprinkles on top! It was a good afternoon treat. read more

Horrible customer service. I brought my little cousin in for her birthday to get the birthday free cone but they told her to leave and laughed at her for being cheap. They didn't even wish her happy birthday and she felt completely embarrassed. We went across the street to kilwins and they were so nice to her and gave her free ice cream. Not going back to here. The boyfriend and I have been going down to Williamsburg the past 5 years. Our usual ice cream place is Handel's but since we had dinner nearby we figured we stop at Baskin Robbins instead. I ordered a sundae and he ordered a banana split. They were out of strawberries and pineapples for his but we brushed it off. We didn't want to eat there because it was surrounded by kids and our hotel room is 5 minutes away. There were no lids that fit but they were able to get two lids that semi fit which was fine. By the time we got to the car, the ice cream was already melting and dripping. That means the "ice cream" had low quality cream and was filled with air. When we got back to the room, the ice cream had leaked over my legs, ruined my skirt and shirt and also got on the interior of my car. When we did actually attempt to eat the ice "cream", it was more like soup. Never going to a Baskin Robbins again after finding out how low quality the ice cream was. The only thing keeping this from a 1 star review is that the lady who prepared our ice cream was friendly and courteous. read more

I have been here a few times and the staff are always rude. If the store gets crowded they take your order close by the door. Then they give you your ice cream while you wait on the long line to pay. So you have to eat your ice cream on the line or have it melt while you wait on the long line to pay. FYI- don't order your ice cram until your right in front of the cashier. The girl helping me was not friendly at all. Yet her attitude completely changed when one of the customers behind me was someone she knew. She started smiling and talking to that customer because she knew her. I feel like you should treat all customers the same. Regardless if you don't know them or they are a different ethnicity then you are ( if you get what I mean). read more

Came here around 6:45 pm, not busy, and there were 2 younger girls working. Got a slight "hi" when we came in the door but that was about it. No smiles or "what can I get you." I have been coming to Baskin & Robbins for quite some years and always get bubble gum. I couldn't find it tonight and asked her if they had any. Her response was that it was seasonal. Ummm.... What? I love Baskin-Robbins and this location was a nice surprise because I was craving some ice cream after a meal. It is located in the Merchant Square area of Colonial Williamsburg. They have all the awesome flavors that you've come to expect from Baskin-Robbins. It's a pretty standard experience when you come to BR and this location meets that standard. The staff was friendly and they let me sample several flavors before I settled on what I wanted for my cone. I settled on the Oreo Salted Caramel ice cream and it was absolutely awesome. The prices were reasonable and comparable to any other BR. The decor is unique in that it has a few Revolutionary themed paintings. There is ample seating and we had no trouble getting a spot to enjoy our ice cream. The bathroom was clean and well stocked. If you need a cool down Baskin-Robbins is the place to go for a yummy scoop of ice cream or a milkshake. It's hard to be disappointed by a business that has this area of service down pat. *This business is gun carry friendly. read more

We've been coming to this store for over 20 years and have never been disappointed. Sure there have been times during peak visitor season when we've had to wait or the staff seemed stressed, but who wouldn't. We love the ice cream Birthday cakes we have gotten over the years. One time we tried a different place. Their cake was good, but it just wasn't Baskin-Robbins. Not only does it have our favorite ice cream, but the owner/manager goes the extra mile. The past five years or so we've asked for extra icing, and last cake we got it without asking! This time we got a different cake (has small cones on top). The photo showed 6 cones so we picked flavors for 6 cones. The size of our cake could only hold 4 cones. Rather than disappoint us, they put 2 cones in a cup. And they were full-sized cones. This particular B&R seems to be extremely efficient and geared to handle much larger crowds than are present in late March. There aren't many tables but I think that's intentional. Otherwise they have ice cream. Roughly 10x pi flavors. read more

We called last minute today to order an Oreo ice cream cake. The lady on the phone was extremely helpful and nice. She sat aside a cake for us and wrote our sons name on it. It was probably the best ice cream cake we have ever had. Amazing experience! read more

I came in here on Friday with some friends. We looked through the book of ice cream cake creations and wanted to know the price of some of the single serving creations. The staff informed us that they were unable to make them or even give us a price for them. So, we decided to just get scoops of ice cream instead. The staff were very nice and let us sample the various flavors. My friends and I decided on what we wanted-- I got a single scoop, and my friend got two kid scoops. She was charged over $5 for this, and she mentioned that she didn't think two kid scoops cost that much after the cashier swiped her card. The cashier said "oh shit" under her breath but didn't refund her money or anything. When my friend asked to see the receipt, the cashier replied that she lost it. We then sat down outside to talk about our favorite and least favorite memories of the year. My friend stated her least favorite memory of the year was when she was overcharged for ice cream at Baskin Robbins. Then we noticed a new ice cream place across the street that hand makes their ice cream cones, has better ice cream, and comparable prices to Baskin Robbins. The end (of my patronage). read more

We were at Colonial Williamsburg and decided to get some ice cream for a late afternoon snack. I loved the area down where the shop is. What a great collection of stores and restaurants. Anyway, the service here was friendly and efficient with the standard Baskin Robbins ice cream selection. The only thing that I didn't care for was one of the employees eating ice cream behind the counter. *Cue old guy rant* Back in my day, the employees had to eat out of the sight of customers. Having eaten there twice this visit, we are happy to report it is the same delicious place to get ice cream. First time we got double scoops of Baseball nut and cherry jubilee (my spouse) and Turtle caramel (me) in waffle cones. little over $10 for both of us. Second time we got same waffle cone with Baseball nut but tried new flavors. There are lots to choose from, the scoop size is large, esp for our typical experience at BR. So after dinner me and my family went to Baskin Robbins and I looked up "Is Baskin Robbins Gluten Free" because I have Celiac disease, aka i'm allergic to gluten. I was excited to find out that near the ice cream labels, they had the allergens, so it was easy to see which ones I can and can not have. Since they have one ice cream scooper in water, and they put that scooper in ice creams that DO have gluten, we asked if the guy working the counter could open a new bucket of ice cream and get a new scooper please. He was SO RUDE!! He told me no. He wasn't going to get me a new bin. I didn't say anything and walked out of the store annoyed. This guy was Indian and we are in Columbus Ohio near North Hamilton Road at 9:00 Monday night, July 16th 2018. Smh Baskin Robbins, Smh. Never ever at ANY PLACE have I ever had somebody so rude and uninviting.
