It's a quaint little spot way out of my normal stomping grounds. I'm never this far up. Hope it is good. Nothing really stands out to me on the brunch menu. Everything looks pretty standard. Holden got to us really quickly with water and gave us time to look over the drink menu. Settled on an Old Fashioned and a Blue Moon over Powell. My wife got the pork chop dinner which looked really good and did not last long. She loved it. We could have sat there for a while and enjoyed the atmosphere. Really cozy place. Lots of ambient light from outside. Bar was a decent size but not obnoxious. Wish it was 10 degrees warmer so we could have sat on the front porch to people watch. Thanks again Holden!

I was early enough for happy hour and had a wonderful Cucumber Gimlet. The service was excellent. I ordered the House Chopped Salad, Lake Erie Walleye, and Lemon Blueberry Panna Cotta. The salad tasted really good and fresh. The Walleye too. I liked the fennel salad with cilantro lime rice. I ate half to take some home and not be too full for dessert. The panna cotta was good, mostly because of the topping. It is not something I would order again, being kind of bland, but to no fault of the kitchen. I'm not a custard-y kind of gal, but wanted to try it. I would definitely come back here for another meal.

Everyone from the hostess to our server was very friendly and nice. They have a full bar and a decent selection of beers. My wife and I decided to share their whipped ricotta appetizer and their French onion burger. The appetizer came with thinly cut crusted baguette. The ricotta cheese was mixed with some strawberry flavor. It wasn't bad but I would have preferred it to be thicker in constituency. The burger and fries came out perfectly cut into half portions for each of us, which was a really nice touch. We had asked for the burger to be cooked medium rare and I think it came out more like a medium well. The patty itself was a bit dry. This may be a one off issue and we hope to return to try some other dishes.

My hashbrown version was supposed to have ham and cheese. I found. One square of ham, and no cheese. by square I mean what you see chopped up on a salad bar. Food was ok, but we had ask for silverware then wait a few minutes for it be delivered. Staff was clearly doing closing duty as there were only 2 other tables occupied. Nobody was paying any attention to each other or tables. I had to excuse myself to get the persons attention to pay.they are so immersed in their clip board they had no idea what was going on. I gave a 2 as my husbands food was fine and mine was not. The restaurant closes at 2 during the week and the lack of service was definitely reflecting their expectations of closing an hour earlier than they actually did. We felt bad for the large group next to us as they waited just as long. We didn't think anyone was in charge as there was not a person paying any attention to items other than their closing duty. We felt invisible.

We told the woman at the register that it was our first visit, and she was very helpful. She told us the Joya's Breakfast Sandwich was their most popular sandwich, so we both ordered one. It comes on a pav-tato roll with bacon, cheesy eggs, chutneys and chives. I thought it was excellent. It has a distinctive flavor and a little bit of a kick. Cindy noticed the heat more than I did, but she really liked the sandwich and especially loved the pav-tato roll. Everything tasted fresh, the portion size was great for brunch, and we both finished the whole thing. I had the Rose Mocha. The rose was pretty subtle to me, but it was a very good mocha regardless. Cindy had coffee and said it was excellent. Joya's is small and cozy, and it stayed busy during our visit around 11 AM. There were usually three or four people in line at the register, but service was quick. Our drinks arrived within a couple of minutes and the sandwiches in about 5-7 minutes. I also got a kick out of the self-serve water station: sparkling H2O is "fancy water," iced H2O is "cold water, very sad," and ambient H2O is "just water, kinda mid." Little touches like that give the place personality. The prices may be a little more than some places, but the portions were good, everything tasted fresh, and the quality made it feel worthwhile. We would definitely go back! Joya's 657 N. High St., Worthington, OH 43085

It had a bit of sweetness that balanced with the other flavors so beautifully. The chicken sandwich was also a 10/10 from my husband, despite being eaten an hour after ordering. Though, if we had to pick one, we'd say the Kati roll would win. We were seated almost immediately after ordering. Despite how busy it was, it didn't feel over-crowded. They told us about 45 min for our food, since they were so busy and backed up, but our food arrived not even 20 minutes later. Also, everyone we interacted with was so kind and pleasant!
