On our visit to this cozy donut shop, the staff was extremely friendly and patient as we looked through the unique donut options. I settled for the Chocolate Old Fashioned and the Brown Butter Brulee donuts. Both were ok, with the chocolate being on the drier side (we brought it home and warmed it up, which definitely elevated the flavor). I also tried the blueberry churro donut, and that was by far the best of the lot. The flavors change every month, and I look forward to coming back and trying other unique flavors.
My new favorite donut shop is so pretty, with a great female staff, and there is parking out back or street. I saw the beautiful donuts on their site and I made the trip Saturday morning, arriving at their 9:30 opening. The parking out back was full due to the farmer's market, but I got a spot on the side street. I'm always up for Pistachio and Lavender flavors. They are quite stunning, as is the rose/pink decor and non-food items. Their donuts are not overly sweet, which was a pleasant surprise. I also got a Coffee con Panna to go. Great flavor. They have each donut in the display case marked as well as a wall menu. They are only open on weekends. They do online pre-orders; there were several boxes ready for pickup.
Went today for a Yelp event. Staff were extremely helpful in deciding which donuts to get ( I couldn't decide they all were so different). The atmosphere is very warm with ability to watch them make the donuts!
I'm ashamed that I only have this measly photo to share, but it's because we inhaled a dozen donuts in record time. The key lime donut was the star for me; cakey and citrusy with a feather-light cream on top. It's the stuff dreams are made of. I don't know which donuts everybody else ate because they were gone so fast, but we all fought over this one and ended up dividing it into little bite sized pieces and it was delicious.
was in town for other things so now I'm here pregaming and thinking this couple of blocks is how I'd like to remember Columbus... pulled off the main drag and literally into an open spot next to private parking. got out and was approached by a young lady complimenting me on the baja but taking her leave as we got to the bakery. I got inside and took a minute to drag an eye over the offerings and chat up the proprietrix before settling (and I use that term loosely) on a raspberry old fashioned, a pineapple mango (rhymes with banjo) and some edible art that was tart like nobody's business and very nearly hurt to eat because, well, you know... cherry. these treats are donuts primarily by definition: round cakes of happiness with a hole in the middle. icing is as icing does and toppings go on top but the cakes are rich and moist with intense but well-balanced flavour and textures: the pineapple mango is sweet but subdued and a little lumpy, raspberry is gritty just like God intended, the cherry is like a boot to the head - but in a good way - with an artfully applied dollop of creme on top for good measure. lovely shop, lovely people, lovely business. treats here are a little spendy but the distance between price and value is not so large. BTW: am I the only person unfazed by the absence of the briocherie?
Cute, local donut place. Their donuts are freshly made and unique. It is small inside, so plan on taking your donuts to go. Friendly staff!
Rose Dough has some of the best donuts I've ever tasted. My favorite are their crullers which are soft, moist, yet crisp in all the best ways. I also appreciate their rotating menu and unique flavors. So far, I've yet to try a donut I didn't like. The inside is colorful and the space is utilized well. The owner is super friendly and passionate about her craft. Do note that these are specialty donuts and they are priced as such. Perfect for yourself or a small group of people, but would get pricey if you were looking to bring a dozen into the office. I think that for the uniqueness, taste, and passion from the team, the price is well worth it. Looking forward to my next visit!!
This is such a cute & beautiful shop & you need to check it out ! I tried a handful of different flavors this time & they were all really delicious! The lavender really came out in the blueberry lavender donut & the cinnamon pull apart was awesome! The Meyer lemon is a must get! Get ready for some amazing sweet treats!
Their donuts are okay. It's not the best donuts I had, but they are still good. The chocolate donut is very dry, the best donut there is probably the blueberry donut. The drinks are so bitter. In my opinion, they tasted really bitter. The service is great, they are really friendly. The ambience is cute too. There is this one game there, where you have to toss something into the cone. The place is nice, but a little small!
Holy cow. These were quite simply incredible. Yeah, it wasn't a cheap donut. Prob don't want to fodder it every day. But was it bliss? Yes. It was bliss. We got: Brown butter brûlée Parsley sweet cream Lemon blueberry Carrot cake They were all amazing. In order of presence, my gf and I generally agree on the above list, from top to bottom. I'm in awe of how good these were.
Disclaimer: these donuts are Not For Me, but they're objectively very good. If you're looking for pastries, this is a great option, with a huge range of options and delightful service. It is, however, not Breakfast Food, which is what I usually want from donuts, so we're a little bit of a mismatch. You should go find out for yourself though! It's worth standing in line at least once.
I was invited to the exclusive preview for the brand new storefront in clintonville and it was so cute. I loved the interior and fun splashes of color and design. And the most important part - the donuts!! You have to get the maple sea salt cruller!! It was light and airy and had such good maple flavor. We also tried: the blueberry old fashioned, cinnamon pull apart, and cherry butter cake.
An update is in order for the absolutely adorable new storefront right along High St in Clintonville. It's gorgeous and a great setting for all of the tasty donuts! You can still do preorders via the website, but it is limited, and they offer a text service if you want to check in before you head over to see if they still have the donut you wanted in stock if you miss the preorder opportunity. As before, the flavors rotate and you can get on the mailing list to get those delivered or check the website before you head over. Our most recent visit was definitely for the annual Christmas flavors, a family favorite here. We got our traditional fix of the Little Debbie Christmas Trees and the Pink Peppermint Brioches, plus opted to try the Christmas Spice Cruller. As always, the donuts are delicious and beautiful! The store itself is warm and welcoming with great decor touches, and it offers a small seating area available.
I kept hearing how good this was but the weekend-morning-only hours made it hard for me to get in. They are now open Fridays too, and have some state-fair-inspired flavors, and we were nearby so we made sure to come in. Street parking in front but that gets tight at peak. No line at 1030am on a Friday. Full case of some of their standards plus the fair options. We got a corndog donut, of course: cornbread donut, Hungarian Butcher hot dogs, and a sweet mustard drizzle (plus some extra in a cup.) It was outstanding. I love corndogs, and was a little leery of how this would turn out, but it's perfect: dense, slightly sweet cornbread donut; excellent sausage; "frosting" that's not overly sweet and complements both. We also got raspberry chocolate, blueberry churro, and creme brulee donuts. I know we won't be disappointed. There's a lot of hype about this place, and they deserve it. The food is great, the service is great, the price is reasonable for the quality, and there are lots of options. They also had a couple of juices they make there I think. The inside is super cute, more Kid K's taste than mine; let's call it elegantly pink. We'll definitely be back. read more

I stopped by Rose Dough Donuts for the first time and had a great experience. It's a small shop with a cute, cozy seating area and a fun, colorful atmosphere. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. They took the time to answer my questions and explain the different flavors. I tried the Chocolate Old Fashioned and the Brown Butter Brûlée French Cruller. The Chocolate Old Fashioned had a rich cocoa flavor and a dense, buttery texture. It wasn't as sweet as I personally prefer, but that's because I'm used to donut shops that make their chocolate donuts extra sugary. If you like a more balanced chocolate flavor, you'll probably enjoy it. The Brown Butter Brûlée French Cruller was my favorite. It was light and airy with buttery, caramelized notes. I actually think it would be even better warmed up with a cup of coffee--it reminded me more of an after-dinner dessert than just a donut. Overall, I really enjoyed my visit. Between the friendly customer service, the unique flavors, and the charming atmosphere, I'd definitely come back to see what seasonal flavors they have next. read more
Absolutely delicious donuts! Very soft and fresh. You won't find some of these unique flavors anywhere else in Columbus! I ordered the Apple Pie, Cold Brew Lemonade, Blueberry Glazed, and Blueberry Lemonade donuts. The Blueberry Lemonade was the best, but they're all spectacular and smell incredible. You really can't go wrong with any flavor. Since I was a first timer, the staff was helpful in explaining each type of donut and suggesting what to order based on preferences. I'm only taking a star off because they were quite expensive. I understand that these are specialty donuts and the menu is rotating, but it's hard to justify spending almost $15 for two donuts. This is a wonderful bakery, just wish the price could come down a bit! read more

I've been a fan of Rose Dough Donuts since my first order in 2023! The rotating donut flavors include inventive savory and sweet options in crullers, old-fashioned, and signature brioche donuts. Some favorite previous flavors include: pistachio lemon cruller, lavender lemon meringue, italian rainbow cake, chocolate espresso cream old fashioned, and Chandler's grilled cheese and tomato soup (a Friends-themed specialty). Whether at a market or the pop-up kitchen, Katie and her team are always ready to serve you with friendly smiles and fresh quality donuts made with local ingredients. Looking forward to their new shop opening in Clintonville this year! read more

The crème brûlée donut was amazing. Loved the matcha lemon one as well...The blackberry and vanilla were pretty meh in my opinion, and definitely altogether these donuts were NOT worth $40!! I couldn't believe the price...like I said they were good but not $40 good. read more

Columbus local baker and they are operating as a ghost bakery at the moment. You are following their pre order schedule or some time popping in farmer market as well. The things that I like about their donut is not overly sweet, even with the glaze or icing on it. The outer part is slightly crisp with the inner part being soft. My favorite would be their cruller and brioche product. Their flavor lineup is always on rotation and always can try something new. read more

Unique, fresh flavors -- I appreciate how well they do traditional donuts and how they experiment with less expected flavor pairings (and collaborations with other local vendors). We tried their pop up at The Lox shop and were so impressed with their everything bagel donut -- a sweet and savory combo I had not experienced before! Will definitely be following them online and preordering more donuts for special occasions! read more

Good brioche based donuts for some of them. Hard working folks not giving you a mass produced taste and flavor like a Krispy Kreme. You've got to pre order your donuts and pick a window to pick them up which makes sense if you're a small business. Support local businesses and give em a try. 3 stars for 4 Donuts for $22 but they've got bills like everybody else in the middle of a pandemic and inflation so I guess it justifies their high pricing structure. read more
I only give it a 4 star because i wish they had a physical shop somewhere, right now they are offering kitchen pick up. love all their Brioche donut options, very soft & fluffy. The Tiki Mai Tai & Signature rose old fashioned are the prettiest ones! My fav are the Don't be cruller, Blueberry lemon cruller & Tiki Mai Tai read more

Its 5 stars no matter where they are. I cant believe I'm only the 2nd person to review. Its so fucking good and worth going wherever they might be. So light and balanced for such a big and flavorful donut. You wont believe how the frosting and glaze melt and the donuts have the perfect crisp and soft balance. Incredible stuff. read more
