Rice bowl with crispy fried tofu and a side of buffalo sauce
    Marissa C.

Mochi Ring has recently expanded their menu! They now offer rice bowls in addition to their tasty selection of donuts. The rice bowls offer either a Korean curry version or a just rice version. Both come with rice, potato salad, and pickles, and your choice from a nice selection of sauces. There is also the opportunity to add on a protein, including options like Korean fried chicken, crispy fried tofu, fried beef dumplings, and shrimp tempura. They also offer cheesy rangoons now, as well. We opted to try a rice bowl with the crispy fried tofu and buffalo sauce on the side, though we're definitely interested in checking out the fried chicken in the future too. We also were able to get a Korean rice corn dog to try this time (only a 10 minute wait versus the 30 on our last visit - it's nice that they offer the times so you know, though!) We opted for the panko coating on half sausage/half mozzarella. Everything was quite tasty, and we will definitely need to remember that there are a lot of great savory options and not just the yummy donuts at Mochi Ring! We still need to try one of those fun tornado potatoes too.

I've been here a handful of times now, it's really nice having a place to get a Korean corn dog that wasn't made in my air fryer and bought from the freezer section of the store. I love the ramen coated cheese option but I've tried several varieties and they've all been great. The doughnuts have consistently been great, a lightly crisp exterior with a light as air interior that overall gives the doughnuts the most satisfying chew. The glazes are good, I find them a bit cloying with how light the pastry is but obviously it's not bad enough to stop me from coming back multiple times. You most definitely need to eat them same day because after sitting overnight the texture isn't the best. Sometimes, it's very busy, especially on weekends. I've been during the week and been in and out within a few minutes. The interior is cute and I appreciate the very instagramable flower wall. The staff here is very efficient but I've never had what I'd consider a pleasant interaction with someone who works here. I was looking at the tea menu and but panicked and just ordered my usual items because of the stare I was getting (there wasn't anyone in line behind me). Again, not something irksome enough that I won't be back but it's something I've noted every time I've been in. Maybe I'll check the tea menu out online before I go in again ;)

Stopped by early afternoon. They were busy! No line to the register but a lot of people were hanging out or waiting for their food/bubble tea. I ordered the ube mochi donut, the half cheese half beef corn dog, and a dragon fruit boba tea. The mochi donut was greasy as a lot of other reviews said. It's not bad but I prefer the ones at Teamoji for that reason. The Korean corn dog was good! Probably just as good as what you get from Myungrang. It has more of a cheese pull at Mochi Ring though. The bubble tea was alright. It had green tea in it but tasted more like juice to me. I didn't wait too long for everything. And the staff didn't seem stressed despite how busy they were. They've got a a few tables and chairs. Enough for groups. Tons of parking since it's in a strip near all the Japanese stores. Glad to see more mochi places popping up!

Oh, Mochi Ring.... Oh Mochi Ring... Why are you so delicious !!!! Seriously. I dont even like donuts. Its the texture of these rings that have me hooked. I guess they are made with rice somehow and wowzers, they are delicious. I purchased the taro ring and a peach sparkling lemonade with peach popping bubbles. I was in heaven. Would buy again Completely recommend. Please put one on the east side. Ps: they also have hotdogs and potato sticks. Yum

I LOVE MOCHI DONUTS The mochi donuts here were literal perfection. So chewy! Q! Q! I felt that the icing was a little too sweet for me but I liked that most donuts had some crunchy textural element sprinkled on top! I think I would really love the plain donuts lol so I'm definitely trying them next time. The Korean corn dogs are highly customizable so I was able to create my dream combo: Mozzarella with potato on the outside *heart eyes* I also appreciate that the server asked us if we wanted sugar on our corn dogs since I saw in other reviews that the sugar came as a surprise. Unfortunately, that did leave the corn dogs tasting rather bland...I didn't check if there were other condiments like ketchup or smth but I think the corn dogs could definitely benefit from that. The batter was also pretty thick for my preference. To be completely honest...I think frozen Korean corn dogs you can buy at the supermarket taste better haha I would definitely still order both the Korean corn dogs and mochi donuts again though! Really yummy savory and sweet treats huehue. Plus, the store decor is super cute eeeee bears and pink flowers everywhere!!!

My niece and I stopped in to check out this store after lunch in the same shopping plaza. She's been intrigued with the current mochi craze, so we wanted to see their flavors, maybe get a few to take home. The gentleman running front of house greeted us when we walked in with a smile. They have several pre-dipped mochi donut rings in about 9-10 flavors; they also have plain ones if you want to pick your own dip and toppings concoction. We got a box of six rings: Ube, Matcha, Taro, Dragon Fruit, Strawberry and Fruit Pebbles. We both liked the base donut batter used; not dense and cake-like, but not quite full-on yeast, a tasty hybrid. She liked the strawberry the best; she thought the fruit pebbles one was tasty, but maybe just a tad too sweet. My fav was their taro and matcha frosted ones. You could really taste the matcha powder in the frosting. Oh, and speaking of frosting, or their dip formula, it was really good. Lite, not hard and easily chips and falls to the floor on each bite (that's always a bummer). For a half-dozen of 6, it's $17, so seems a bit on the pricier side, but if the dips are good quality, I don't mind stopping in every once in a while for a treat.

Destination for your Asian Street Food craving, head over to Mochi Ring and they got you cover. As you walk in, you would first encounter all the nicely line up Mochi Donut. Remember you would need to pay at the counter first, then you can select the flavor after. The also have the super cheesy Korean Hot Dog, Tornado Potato, Bubble Tea. AND can't forget my favorite, Bingsu, which is the Korean milk based shaved ice. It usually topped with all kind of sweet toppings. It is flaky and super fluffy.

First time here. You pay first, then pick the donuts. We tried the Coffee and Strawberry both delicious. Toppings were spot on. Their brown sugar boba was good as well. Would love to be back.

I've been wanting to try these since I heard about them. We've been TWICE this week because they are so addictive. The shape of the donut makes it perfect for sampling, it's easy to pull off one bite to try. We've enjoyed all the flavors but my favorite are the ube (lavender/lavender) and the sesame (grey). They are soft and chewy and not overly sweet. Perfect with a cup of coffee in the morning. They also keep better than most donuts. Still good 3 days later if you manage to not eat them before that!

The latest entry in the mochi doughnut and korean corn dog shops popping up all over Columbus. Located in the Kenny Centre mall. I arrived 10 minutes after their opening time to find the donut cases completely empty. A donut shop with no donuts is sad. Tip: the donuts start being put out about 15 minutes after they open. They were decorated really nicely. The donuts were slightly greasy and have the consistency of fried dough. This could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on personal preference. They offer several rotating doughnut flavors and several kinds of korean corn dogs. I don't entirely get the hype myself, but I wish them well in this new location.

I still don't really GET mochi donuts - the texture feels off to me - but they have a decent selection of flavors, along with some really good milk tea. I wanted to try Korean hot dogs and ended up getting a potato dog and a regular giant mozzarella stick (with an EPIC first cheese pull), and while the batter was a little too sweet for my taste, both were excellent and perfectly hit that craving for fried food. The shop has some cute touches like the photo wall and the hair accessories they have for sale, but I wouldn't call it a space I'd want to linger in. But service was friendly and pretty quick, and it's definitely a good place for an occasional fun fried treat.

I wanted to love this place, because they offer Korean style hotdogs, boba tea, and mochi donuts! Unfortunately, the mochi donuts (main attraction of the place) lacked in quality and taste. Pros: Sparkling lemonade (peach and lychee) - delicious, refreshing, would order it again Korean hotdog - crunchy exterior, quality hotdog, many sauces offered to top it off, many varieties (even potato tornadoes offered) Service - fast, friendly Cons: Mochi donut - not chewy enough (not nearly as mochi-like as other mochi based donuts I have had), the frosting lacks a lot as well (odd taste), agree with other reviews that it was too greasy (felt the oil taste came through on the donut) Korean hotdog - I wish they did not add a dusting of sugar to the exterior of the fried batter (I like it savory) I would go again for the drinks and hotdogs only if in the area.

When you walk in you pull a number and wait for it to be called. Almost felt like I had walked into the DMV. lol We peeked at the display counters while we waited and tried to have our orders ready when it was our turn to expedite the wait for those after us. There were a few shelves that displayed various cookies, breads and things you could grab and go. The place was clean and the process was orderly. They seemed to keep things in the front stocked. We probably waited about 15 minutes. I pulled number 90 and the were calling the last of the 60's. We ordered several items to try including the packzis with three different fillings since we went at the right time of year for these. We grabbed a cheese, strawberry and lemon. We also chose a cheese danish, maple cream stick, apple fritter, cherry turnover and a donut stick. Once we told them what we wanted the girl helping us went to the back and started filling our box. A few moments later she returned, we paid and headed out the door with our sweets. My husband didn't want to wait so we opened up the box once we got to the car and each took one bite from each of our selections. We didn't find anything wrong with our choices. The one thing I was thrown off by is how they make their apple fritters. I almost missed ordering one bc they look nothing like the apple fritters I'm used to eating. It was just ok in my book. Not something I would get again. The donut stick on the other hand is something I wouldn't miss next time. In fact I'd be getting more than one. It was probably my favorite item of all we selected. The cream stick dough was soft. The cream wasn't too sweet. The only thing I would have changed was to have the maple icing be a bit more maple flavored. The turnover was nice and crispy flakey but the filling was just ok. Maybe a different flavor next time if I would get one. How can you go wrong with a cheese danish? Warm this slightly and you're hitting a home run. This was a nice stop and we learned the difference between what we liked and loved. We know just what to get next time. I will say they have a great social media presence and do a phenomenal job interacting with their customers and community.

We enjoy their products and welcome Resch's to Gahanna. We are highly confident Resch's would be even more successful if they took two actions: 1. Open for business at least by 7:00 a.m. 2. Offer the option of traditional no-filling Chocolate and Vanilla frosted Long John donuts. -- market data supports this and shows .... Based on: * Sampling of 100+ independent bakery hours across U.S. cities * Regional bakery association listings * Yelp/Google Business hour patterns * Known bakery business models A realistic, data‑grounded estimate is: Only about 10-15% of neighborhood bakeries open at 8:00 a.m. or later. Further market data shows... Bakeries that offer only filled Long Johns are extremely uncommon. Why unfilled Long Johns almost always remain on the menu * They serve the "less sweet" customer segment. * They pair well with coffee (important for morning sales). * They are cheaper to produce and have fewer failure points. * They are the "default bar donut" in many regions. Even bakeries that push filled varieties keep unfilled bars because they sell steadily and require no additional labor. --- Bottom-line conclusion Bakeries that offer only filled Long Johns are very rare -- probably under 5% of all bakeries. The overwhelming majority offer both, with filled varieties outnumbering unfilled but not replacing them.
