I ordered three frosted donuts with sprinkles, two glazed donuts; two cream cheese danish; two breakfast sandwiches; and a chocolate milk for only $20! Reviews on the food are below: - Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Croissant + Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Croissant Large in size; however, croissant was a little stale. The Bacon Croissant did not seem to have much bacon either. - Cream Cheese Danish was really good -the flavor of the cream cheese was sweet and tasty! Dear Lord, why did I have to see a donut shop across the street from my gym? Better question: Why did the donuts have to be so darn GOOD?!? This place closes at 2 and I don't get to the gym until 3, so I've never had a chance to check it out. That is until last Friday, just before I got on the road. I have to admit, seeing them at very competitive prices (much lower than one would expect), I questioned how well they would be made. Let me tell you, I would put their cinnamon rolls against anyone in the city. Light and fluffy, deliciously sweet and even more incredible after a few seconds in the microwave. A+ for the donut holes as well. I couldn't resist trying a "sandwich", so purchased a Sausage Kaloche, having never tried on before. The meat had a nice taste to it, but once again, the bread was the surrounding croissant(?) was the winner. I intend to go back, and soon, because I gotta have another cinnamon roll. But you all didn't read that... Maybe then, after I've had a chance to try the others, I can bump them up to 5 stars. Just trying to be fair in my assessment. read more

These are the best donuts!! Fluffy and delicious! Service is excellent. People are super nice and friendly. You have to get there early for the best selection (which is always a good sign of a great donut shop). You can also get wine and they have a great selection. Highly recommend this place! read more

Been here twice. I liked the tiny little breakfast burrito and a long John donut I got, and I also actually really liked the coffee I had on my first trip. The second time when I asked for a coffee they said that they are not serving coffee anymore at all. When I asked why, it was because someone said to them that it wasn't very good. So now they don't serve coffee at all at a donut shop??? When I'm ordering a donut at 7 AM, what drink do you think I want? Coffee! Even if it is very bad. Still give me the drink that I so require. Most bakeries aren't able to do much for you in the last half hour before closing. This was a different experience. Large flaky donuts and a cinnamon roll were easy to get ahold of and were still warm when I got to the car. The donut holes were a perfect bite sized treat as well. read more

First time I came here was on a Saturday at 8am. The case was near empty of donuts, and there were 5 people in line. So I turned around and walked out as I saw no reason to wait to get no donuts. Second time was in a Friday at 6:30am. There was already a person ordering, and another person came in shortly after me. But most importantly, this time, there were plenty of donuts. Ordered a half dozen. The donuts were good, but their variety was lacking. 7:11 Sunday morning - they open @ 5 AM, and there was 4 guests in line in front of me when I walked in. The owner was poppin out donuts as fast as possible, I will give them credit - you can only supply as fast as the donut making machine can cook em. I love the fact they open @ 5 AM every day. Supply is hit or miss based on how busy they are, obviously. To share with family I got a chocolate long John, 2 glazed, an apple fritter, one of their chocolate croissants for my mother, and 2 dozen fresh outta the back donut holes. Good holes - soft yet chewy, two thumbs up! Same for the tray of warm glazed (fresh outta the kitchen); yeast batter was cooked perfectly, and the glaze wasn't overtly sugarfied (a big personal turnoff!). I did take a bite of the Apple fritter, and it was actually quite good. A solid cinnamon , hints of apple, flavor. Crispy around a few of the edge spots, soft and chewy throughout, which made it perfect based on my personal criteria. I'll definitely keep this one on rotation (along with the holes) for future stops here. I did see their wrapped breakfast burritos in the casing, but no one got one during my time in the store. I'd like to take a peak under the wrapper, hopefully they're tasty - I don't really care about the "presentation", as breakfast is breakfast; as long as they're tasty, that's all that matters. This was my first time trying this place and it will be my last. I stopped in around 10:00AM to pick up something for a quick breakfast. They open at 6 and in 4 hours, they were sold out of just about everything in their display case. For a donut place they hardly had any donuts. All they had was a few sheet pans of mostly empty pans of donuts. When I asked the girl behind the counter if that was all they had, she said yes. I ended up getting some breakfast burritos for us to try and 2 rather small long John donuts. The breakfast burritos were not warm so we had to microwave them when I got home. They tasted just ok & not bad. Honestly we could have and have made bigger breakfast burritos at home. The donuts tasted just ok. The chocolate icing on top flaked off and made a mess. I'm not sure why their icing flaked off into pieces. Overall, I'll say don't waste your time trying this place out. What a big disappointment it was. A so called donut shop that's only open until 3:00pm that didn't hardly have a big selection of donuts available to choose from, isn't my idea of a donut shop. People do eat donuts after 3:00pm. I'm not sure this new place will last long with it being the way it was with hardly any donuts to choose from. read more

Stopped in around 7am on Tuesday morning, they had a great selection of baked goods. They also offer croissant sandwiches, and breakfast burritos. On this particular morning, I got a ham and cheese burrito and a cream filled long john and strawberry stick. I ate the burrito, it had great flavor and was filling, very reasonable prices. I visited Fresh Donut on a Saturday morning around 9am and they were already almost out of donuts! They were literally bringing trays of the glazed donuts out as soon as they were done being made. With that being said, they are VERY fresh and tasty donuts and pastries, I just think they should better stock for weekends which would in turn increase their sales. I was so excited to see a new small business emerge in Pickerington. The fact that it was a donut shop made me super excited. What a joke. I'd expect a place called Fresh Donut to have a variety of fresh donuts as its main offering. That's certainly what it appears to do on its website. In reality, there were maybe 7 different kinds of donuts in a small display case this morning and the quantities were limited. They were out of sausage biscuits. I opted for a couple sausage, egg, and cheese burritos and a Long John. The burritos were okay but underwhelming. The Long John was fresh, but the chocolate icing was a bit dry and flakey. This newest addition to the local restaurant scene in Pickerington has amazing breakfast sandwiches and donuts, for extremely reasonable prices. We've sampled the croissant sandwiches, sausage kolaches and breakfast burritos. These all have a great ratio of filling to bread, and the bread is deliciously tender. These are some extremely satisfying breakfast sammies! As far as donuts go, we've sampled the long johns, danishes, fruit kolaches and apple fritters. Again, super fresh, super tender and excellent filling to soft, yeasty donut ratio. Very highly recommended! read more

This place has decent donuts- I was happy to find another spot that sold donut holes that weren't dried up like Tim Hortons. But i don't know, maybe I'm thinking too much into this but the first time I went- I took my kids along with my nieces so, plus I ordered for my older kids at home- so I purchased over a dozen donuts. The put the donuts in these plain styrofoam boxes and sent us on our way. Since the little kids were eager to eat them, we sat at the table and I let them dig in. I noticed other customers come in and they would be given the nice pink company box, with the handle and business name. Only certain people got the styrofoam box's. I left, but I went back that next week with just me and one of my kids, we were given the same Styrofoam box, this time I stayed a while to see if the same thing happened, and sure enough, only certain customers got the other boxes. I finally just asked the lady how they determine who get what box, and she stumbled for a second and said she only uses the cardboard boxes for large orders ( although we had a large order last week) and despite the fact that they have small handle boxes also. I don't know- I just felt strange- I know it's conspiracy theorish but it just didn't make sense read more

This shop needs more time to work out their kinks. My son and I visited Sunday morning at 7:15 (please note that per their posted hours, they open at 7 on Sundays). There was a line of around 6 customers in front of us when we arrived. There were no menus or prices posted, but I will assume that the tv monitors behind the counter would normally show the menu if they were on. We waited in line for a few minutes, but the line was moving slowly and we could see that the display case was more than half empty. There were very few donuts left except for the donut holes and kolaches. Interesting to note that their long johns appeared to have some filling on top. While we waited, we saw at least one other customer check out the line through the window and walk away. After a few minutes, we also left and went to Jolly Pirate. I'm planning to give this place a few weeks and then returning to see how things are at that time and adjust my review as warranted. I hope they catch their stride by then, but if you come right now it's likely to be hit or miss. read more
