I had to try this donut shop since it was featured as on the top donut shops in the country based on Yelp reviews. It's in hidden in the plaza so you won't necessarily see it off the Main Street. Once you're inside it has a warm friendly vibe. You get to see the donut making first hand since it's an open kitchen. The menu has many created flavors for the chocolate , fruity, or seasonal lover. Not finding something you like, you can make your own. Think of Cold Stone but for donuts. I decided to go with a few of the created flavors, Honey Blue, Raspberry Beret, and the Mitch. They came piping hot out and were glazed and topped right in front of me. It was great but the icing didn't have a chance to set fully because the donut was so hot. I suggest to ask if you can have them wait a minute or two before putting on the glaze I love the story behind explaining who Donna is. I love learning the back story of any business. I really wanted to like Donna's Delicious Dozen given the great ratings and how much I love donuts, especially mini donuts. Unfortunately, I have to say my experience was not the best. We came here on father's day as this location is quite far from us as we live on the West side of Columbus. While I had checked the website to ensure they were open before we drove to the store, upon arrival, they had posted a sign that they weren't taking walk-ins due to the online order volume they had. Still, we had driven all this way and they said we could still order online, so I did, expecting a much longer wait than usual. We ordered 6 donuts and a coffee and settled in to wait. The seating area has some basic tables and chairs and booths along the wall. The interior is very light and colorful, but I would still say this is likely more a place designed for pick up as the seating is more of an afterthought. I did appreciate that they noticed us waiting and tried to get us our order quickly - so the service is friendly when they have the help. As you can tell from the pictures people have posted, the donuts are presented quite nicely. They also were a bit bigger than I expected as I was expecting mini donuts and find these are smaller than a full sized donut, but larger than a mini-donut. Unfortunately, I feel the donuts may have been cooked in too hot of oil as they crumbled quite a bit with the outside separating from the interior. It was a bit oily and then the sweet toppings didn't quite adhere to the donut and made the flavor a bit off - so it wasn't quite there for me. I hope that this may be different experience than what others may have had given their high order volume and what I can imagine was a day they were short staffed being father's day, but I don't think I'll be making the trip out to visit this location again. read more

Wow. Talk about a donut being worth every single calorie, carb, sugar, etc etc. Donna's Delicious Dozen is like a yeast donut and a cake donut had a baby and it is PERFECT! This is a must have and get them when they're warm! The donuts literally melt in your mouth and before you know it, you'll be in a sugar coma because you'll have eaten the entire dozen in one sitting. I made a lemon glaze + raspberry drizzle and it was gone in 3 bites haha. It was so good and not overly sweet. The Honey Blue is a blueberry glaze sprinkled with struesel and topped with a honey drizzle. The blueberry was not strong enough so it wasn't my favorite. The original glaze is delicious and a must, as well as the vanilla glaze. My sister had a GF honey drizzle with pecans and said it was good. The rest of the GF were for a friend who loves the cinnamon sugar option! The employees were very kind and patient as we chose our donuts and the service was quick. I had ordered the GF ones and they were ready about 30min before scheduled pickup. They send you a text when they're ready so that's awesome! Oh, my goodness! These donuts were hot and delicious! I ordered the strawberry cream cheese and the maple bacon. I always wanted to see the hype of a donut with bacon, and this did not disappoint. I probably won't order this flavor again only because I like my bacon crispy, which it was not...but it was still delicious! The strawberry cream cheese was my favorite. The strawberry drizzle was the perfect consistency...not to thick or sticky. I have to get used to paying $2.75 for one mini donut (paid $8+ for three); but this will not deter me from returning. This place is a DEF a fan fav amongst my coworkers! I'm not super close to the location but I wanted to pick up some donuts for my establishment for Black History Month since this is a black-owned business that I found on ExperienceColumbus.com. It was important to me to celebrate this in a way that acutally promoted a black-owned business. Ordering was easy, just a call! I drove quite a bit out of the way of work to pick these up and they were ready to go right when I was there! The person there when I picked up, seemed to be the owner.. not sure.. but just got that feel, was SO SWEET! She offered me some coffee on the house after she asked how I was and I answered with something along the lines of being tired but trying to wake up. They we're 2/$6 at the foodtruck, and were a little smaller than what I was expecting but my first bite erased any trepidations! I tried the Fruitylicious and Oreo flavors. (For other donut aficionados, I dare to say that Donna's cereal donut was better than the one I had at Voodoo Donuts!!) They came out piping hot, warm icing, perfect topping-to-icing-to-donut ratio, and were the perfect consistency. Despite a consistent line, the donuts came out quickly! I went to Donna's as part of a promo event. They offer super easy online ordering. Even with the event promo and adding extra donuts, ordering online was a breeze. Perfect amount of communication that the order was received and when it was ready. I ordered the suggested donuts, but there is also the option to create your own donuts. When we walked in, it smelled amazing and they had our order ready. All the employees were super friendly and genuinely interested in us as customers. Our little box of donuts was warm and fresh. It made a perfect little hand warmer for traveling back out in the cold. The donuts are a nice size for consuming more than one and not feeling too terrible about possible wrecked diets. We always love trying new donut places. Donuts are my husbands all time favorite (behind only brownies). The place is kind of tucked away. Didn't see it at first. It's a cute little place. The sticky bun flavor was to die for. That was by far my favorite. It was amazing. We were interested to try the filled ones since it's a cake donut. They were ok. Not much room for filling. Okay, these donuts are officially one of my favorites, they are SO soft and moist, because who enjoys a hard, dry donut?! Run, do not walk to get these, you will not regret it. I asked the lady at the counter which donuts she recommended but did not pick any that she said. Instead I ordered a PB Dream Cup donut only one because I don't need that much sugar.
