Where has this donut place been all my life!! I came across Destination Donuts Instagram by chance and saw that they change their donut flavors daily. I was immediately intrigued and knew I had to stop in soon. I grabbed their Butterscotch & Smoked Sea Salt donut and their Dueling Vanilla that is available daily. Let's get into the size??? These donuts are massive compared to the ones I usually get elsewhere. I'd like to think the price reflects the size and the soft airy texture of the donut. The sea salt worked well with the butterscotch flavor and the Dueling Vanilla wasn't too sweet. Excited to try their other flavors in the future.
I tried these donuts for the first time in 2024 and I could not stop thinking about them. I am vegan so it isn't easy to find donuts at most places but destination donuts has so many vegan options. It is always such a treat when I get them and they taste amazing. I've went in person once and the seating is a bit limited with street parking but that's to be expected in Clintonville. I like to stop in and take them to go but there definitely is some seating for people that prefer to stay in. The service is great and the ship is super cute. I highly recommend it as it is a great business to support and is delicious for everyone but I definitely recommend to other vegans that are craving a good donut.

I am not a big icing fan and love this have the just right amount of icing on the donut. Slightly sweet with a hint of sourness. Can't forget that Sugar 'Lit Bits. It's such a perfect munchy and I just keep pulling one out from the bag. Their flavors line up usually rotate daily and note that their donuts are vegan friendly as well.
These donuts looked really good, but they tasted okay. I wasn't too impressed with the flavors.. I wish they were more bold and balanced, and that they would've made it worth the carbs. These donuts tasted like sugar without much flavor. I also wish they had both yeast and cake donuts as options. Only yeast donuts here.
I've been a long time fan and customer of destination donuts even when they were just a small stand at North Market! Now they've got a cute small location with some indoor seating for a nice snack. I'm not vegan and didn't realize these donuts were vegan! Even so, these are my favorite donuts in Ohio because of their soft chewy texture (yeast donuts as opposed to cake donuts) and fun flavors! I will say though the donuts are super expensive and they really aren't generous to customers with their rewards. I was 25 cents short of another stamp on my rewards card and they have never rounded up even though you're paying nearly 4 dollars per donut (you get a stamp for every 5 dollars you spend). They post their flavors of the day on their Instagram so you can decide if it's worth the visit before going out. Their lemon blueberry donut is one of my favorites! I will say they tried to do a Thai tea donut and missed the mark, didn't have enough flavor which I've noticed is a trend in many non Asian places in Columbus attempting an Asian inspired version of their dishes. Would be interested in trying the ube flavor to see how it came out!

Before a recent Ohio State game we made reservations for an on-campus buffet breakfast with few egg free options, so I promised her a donut. Little did I know how very difficult it would be to find a vegan donut!! We live in Cincinnati and every place that touts their vegan donuts were sold out or not making them. Destination Donuts absolutely saved the day. We stopped in to this adorable, clean shop early on game day and I got 6 amazing vegan donuts. The staff were kind, helpful and efficient. My daughter was ecstatic and everyone who tried the donuts were surprised by how yummy they were! Thank you Destination Donuts!!
I just love this place so much. I come in quite often, but today I was picking up donuts for work, and asked for specific packaging in multiple boxes to keep the vegan donuts separate, and Heather, the owner, just helped me out with nothing but patience and a smile on her face. I really appreciate that they moved to the neighborhood and continue to be a great spot for a sugar fix.
I wandered into the neat little storefront five minutes before closing so they didn't have many choices. There was five chocolate frosted potato stick, one dueling vanilla, or two fruity pebbles glazed. I cleaned them out of the latter two varieties for $9. The pebbles were soo good and I liked the vanilla too. The nifty atmosphere was exactly what you'd expect from a working bakery and the lady working the counter was friendly.
08/24/24 "I am not Vegan" but wanted to try and support. I went after work around 12:30pm. The only doughnuts that they had left were "Maple nut, Key Line and Cinnamon Sugar Bites. I Missed out on the Raspberry Hibiscus and Ube. "The Farmers Market customers toke everything, lol." My friend Loved her "Maple Nut" I love that I was asked if we had any nut allergies. Very friendly staff. I will return early next time. I am glad they had a sell out. 10/10

Whether it is one of their vegan or regular donuts the taste is incredible. They are big and doughy. Sometimes it is a bit much, but I get them anyway because of the flavor. Their hibiscus, and smoked butterscotch donuts are two of my favorites. They validate your parking ticket, and have a rewards program. Don't forget to get these stamped each time. You don't want to miss out on your rewards points because you will find yourself going back often when you are in the downtown area.

Was hoping that I found that cak donut shop, but no. ONLY had cake donut holes. (How can you do holes without donuts?? Aren't the holes the dough you cut out to make the donut??) Rest of stock was very large yeast donuts. So large, you don't even want to know the calorie count or maybe the price. The cake donut holes was $2 each. You could get 2 Dom's donuts for that price. The one I had was delicious and a good size. Maple nut flavor.

Vegan donuts in Columbus are a great treat! On the day we went all the donuts offered were vegan. I guess that's not always the case. They were enjoyed by all! The staff was really nice and welcoming and we left satisfied with our selection. The flavors change every day, which they don't post on their website but instead on social media. read more

Í appreciated the attentive service we received including explaining the differences in the donut styles and flavors. Beyond that, the donuts were average in my opinion (and in my wife's). We tried two yeast donuts (cinnamon cream cheese and tropical sunrise) and a cake one. I can't say that I will be taking advantage of the punch card they provide for repeat visitors. read more

I've had Destination Donuts on multiple occasions. They also sell them at Luck Bros coffee shop. Makes sense, since they sell their coffee at this location! My friend really wanted to try it because she had never had it before. The Buckeye Donut is the most popular, but she ended up choosing the maple donut which had nuts crumbled on top. It was fresh so it didn't taste as dense as usual. (I'm guessing I've never had it fresh.) Its still a very bread-y or doughy type of texture. The icing has most of the flavor, but the rest of it is just the dough... I've always split it when I've had it. It's about $3 per donut which is a little pricey but these are huge! Still, I wish they would dip the whole donut in icing or at least infuse it. It's just not flavorful enough for me to merit purchasing it. read more

Yo these donuts are thiccc. Located in the very dope North Market, Destination Donuts is serving up some of the fluffiest donuts you've ever had. If you're a window shopper just browsing the options, when you see these you'll be a window buyer. Eagerly pointing at your donut of choice through the glass. Specialty donut spots are a dime a dozen now and kind of played out imo, they're all the same and are over priced. For my money, DD does it different (not that DD). Big fat and fluffy donuts different from the competition. I ordered the lemon blueberry (much recommended and a top seller while I sat at the bar to further admire the donuts after already devouring mine). A great mix of sour and sweet without being overwhelming. They all look great and while $3 isn't the cheapest for a donut, I think it's reasonable for the quality and quantity. Next time I'm in Columbus I'm getting me a donut here. read more
I have been working to cut back my carb intake, however, one of my business partners was hyping Destination Donuts in the North Market. I've been here so many times that I've never stopped to try a donut! Shame on me because they were good! I got the Dueling Vanilla donut that was fluffy with the right amount of sweetness in the vanilla glaze. It was a light donut (my preference) which can be eaten in a couple of bites. Also, they have vegan donuts as well! Really nice layout to read the options available. read more
This was my first time at Destination Donuts and I was happy with their donuts' tastes, but didn't enjoy their donut texture. It was a bit too cakey and bit dryer than I expected. I do recommend trying their raspberry hibiscus donut, the icing was delicious! Their donuts were $3 each, but they're about the size of 1.5 regular donuts. I think I would come back to try the other flavors, but it's not a place I would consistently come back to. Staff was very friendly and gave me her favorite donut flavor (the hibiscus) and I did like it! read more
I've been here plenty of times and I can't believe that I haven't reviewed this place yet. I LOVE destination donuts. They are located inside the North Market in Columbus. I normally like to get the same donut which is the Dueling Vanilla. It is fantastic and SO SOFT. It is a classic donut but so delicious. I like the butterscotch and smoked sea salt too. There are numerous other flavours as well. All of their donuts are huge so the $3 price is not that bad. This is more of a luxury purchase for me. I've also tried their little cake donuts which they call "nibblers" - they are expensive (maybe $2 or $3 a piece?) but are very tasty! There are different flavours but normally there is only 1 or 2 flavours to choose from on a given day. The lines here do get long mostly if you go on a busy Saturday or during primetime hours (lunch time). The lines are long because it is a small donut shop and a very popular spot. I remember coming here in March 2017 during Arnold Sports Festival and in October 2017 during Columbus Marathon weekend. I remember there was a line to buy a donut but big events bring big lines so plan accordingly. This is their only location but they are located at select coffee shops around Columbus. Customer service is great. Anytime I've asked a question about a donut, I've been helped. Also, I heard that they do have some Vegan donut options but I haven't tried them yet. All donuts are made in-house right there in the store at North Market. Stop on in sometime and try a donut. YUM! This is my 123rd Yelp review overall. 77 reviews for 2018. Paired with a stop at the Clintionville Farmers market on a Saturday morning, destination donuts will get your weekend started out right! Tucked into a small storefront but packed with flavor, fresh and tasty donuts for Vegans and non vegans alike, we had one vegan cinnamon roll (Dirty Chai) and a strawberry lemon regular. There was no way to even tell which one was vegan as they both were so delicious! read more

Dense beautifully decorated doughnuts with a few unique flavors in North Market! We got the dark chocolate and raspberry hibiscus. The texture was different between the two with the chocolate being a little too dense. The chocolate cream was very dark. Overall I didn't enjoy this one as much. But the raspberry hibiscus was delicious and I like the fruity glaze which I found complemented the doughiness. read more
I stopped by here this two Saturday's ago with my wife. We were in the North Market walking around whenever we spotted Destination Donuts. Whenever we were researching the market we had seen pictures of their donuts and I knew that we were going to try some. Since the shop is a food stand in the market, there's not too much to say about it. They have a display area where you can see all of the donuts as well as signs letting you know what flavor they were. Then behind that you can see workers making more doughnuts. On this day my wife and I decided to split a Lemon blueberry as well as a Coconut mango. We didn't get to them right away but they were still in good shape whenever we eventually did. The first one that we tried was the lemon blueberry with its shiny purple glaze. It was really good as the donut was light and fluffy while the blueberry added some nice flavor and the lemon added a pop of tart. Once we had finished with that we both tried the coconut mango. It was disappointing from the standpoint that I couldn't taste the mango at all. That's not to say it was bad though as the donut was once again light and fluffy and the coconut flavoring was tasty. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. Both of the donuts that we had were light and fluffy and had good toppings on them as well. read more

Destination Donuts is another popular spot in North Market. It's not the junk you get at drive thrus. This is so much better. It's kind of expensive but it's gourmet not mass produced. They have a few interesting flavors for all tastes. If you haven't had these donuts at various coffee shops around the city you may want to pick some up at North Market. It's made fresh so that's an advantage if you get it there. The donuts are about $3 each which is the worst thing. It's much better than a typical donut shop and they put a lot of care into their products so that's expected. They even have several vegan flavors. It depends on what day it is but it changes. The Dueling Vanilla is great. I would get something from Destination Donuts if there was a donut fan needing to be impressed. It's high quality and should be given a chance. This is also good to vegans who could use a good dessert or a sweet treat. read more

$3 per (yeast) donut, $4 for fritters, $2 per donut hole (cake). Some interesting flavors such as smoked butterscotch and lemon blueberry (tried this one - glaze too thin and a bit too lemon-sour for me). I also tried the Dueling Vanillla yeast donut which had a pleasant real vanilla flavor. The yeast donuts themselves are really like very soft and very sweet yeast rolls which is nice. The cake donut hole was average. Not dry, kinda dense, but nothing I'd pay $2 for again. They should carry better milk selections which should match the artisinal level of their bakery rather than the crappy little cardboard mystery pints they currently sell. read more
I don't regularly eat doughnuts but I had to try two here because the colors were inviting. The popular Raspberry Hibuscus was my favorite and I enjoyed the tangy flavor. I would have had another but I was about to go around the aisle and have some Jeni's Ice Cream, too. Hmmm, all this sugar made my inner Homer Simpson come out on this morning. read more
I'm usually not a donut person, but I was in the North Market and stumbled upon this place. This place is NO joke! The line was already getting long after being open for 5 minutes. I grabbed 3 donuts to split among the family (we grabbed some other stuff as well). Omg they were amazing!! I think the donuts lasted all of 2 minutes. They were huge! So light and fluffy! They were so flavorful! Highly recommend, but get there early! Staff was also so nice and helpful! read more

How is their coffee. We want to eat there tomorrow but want coffee too. Although we are still trying this place.?
Destination dinner is located inside the North Market. There's is a Stauf's coffee just a couple vendors down that should suit any coffee need.
