I have been here three times so far. The first two times I went in the morning and both experiences were great. The donuts were hot, fresh and just overall great. The third time, I went later in the afternoon and the donuts were cold, slightly greasy and the frosting was also hard. Not at all "made to order" like they proclaim. I would say that you should definitely try these donuts but if you are going to go, do so in the morning. So, I came back today as my kids asked for Duck Donuts for breakfast. We picked up four donuts. All were hot, fresh and just perfect. I will add that during each of our trips to Duck Donuts, the staff at the front counter have been friendly and helpful. I am chalking the one bad experience up as just a off day for this store as all my other experiences have been great so far. read more

Omg! This is soo good! I do not like cake doughnut in general but theirs is not like the others. I even crave theirs which is unusual. Maple frosting and bacon is what I always get here. Fresh warm crispy bacon, not so sweet maple syrup frosting on a warm cake moist doughnut that melts in your mouth. What I like about this doughnut is the fact that it doesn't make you feel like your artery is being clogged and even after a second helping, you don't feel sick. It can even last for 5days if you order a dozen and it still taste as good as the first day. Chocolate frosting with either rainbow or chocolate are my kids favorite. The peanut butter frosting is delicious. I topped it crushed peanut. If you want an extra kick with your ice cream, add this by warming it up a bit and top it with your favorite ice cream. Delish!! I really like this place. The staff is friendly and efficient (and understands how you might be overwhelmed by making up your mind lol). You walk in, choose your donut flavor, icing and toppings and in 5 - 6 minutes your fresh, warm donuts are out ready to be devoured. I can't wait to go back. Was in town visiting family and wanted something sweet so I decided to try Duck Donuts. They offer a fresh donut cake donut that are freshly made every couple minutes. Once you place your order with the toppings that you want they take the fresh donut and add the toppings which gives it an extra kick as they have not been sitting around all day. We also order a breakfast sandwich which you can have on a bagel, English muffin or a donut. Come on now that sounds delicious. We had one of each. They also offer juices and coffees. The staff was very friendly and the only reason I'm not giving them a 5-star is because I felt that it took a little bit too long to get my order. I had the good fortune of arriving at a slow period and was given great assistance from the cashier. Yep, the donuts are still warm when you get them because they're constantly making them. It's fun to watch the whole operation in action as the dough goes into the hot oil and then come out of the conveyor. They're iced as per one's order and then bagged or boxed up. The process is pretty quick. For me the only drawback was that they're kind of soft since they're served warm and a bit greasy. Let me start off by saying, the 4 stars are strictly for the donuts. They're made to order, you can customize, and they're warm, delicious, and sort of heavy. You will not regret eating these! I got the maple bacon one and it was heaven. But keep in mind, they only serve cake donuts-no yeast ones. So if you hate cake donuts, this isn't the place for you. My review on their breakfast sandwiches-1 star. They are not good. Jimmy Dean does a better job. And I don't know if this is a southern thing but they buttered our breakfast sandwich bagels. I've never heard of that in my life. A breakfast sandwich is heavy enough. The butter was misplaced and gross with eggs, bacon, and cheese.
