This place is a hole in the wall kinda place. I got here and they had a lot of options, i ended up getting a dozen mixed donuts and they were pretty good. They had sold out of some of their donuts but the ones i ended up getting were pretty good. The service was good and they don't offer seating so it's more of a to-go donut shop which i enjoy anyway. My family tried some and enjoyed them as well. Will definitely come back and try the apple fritters they were unfortunately sold out of. read more

We went here on a whim and we were so impressed! Excellent pricing and donuts were all delicious. We got a mix of yeast donuts and cake donuts and they each had lovely flavor and tasted fresh. Only tiny complaint was that the lemon filled donut did not have very even distribution of filling but that was easily solved by being cut in half and smearing the filling around. I decided to go today because I have a friend visiting so I brought a half dozen home. Service was fast as there were only a few in the store. The donut cases look appealing and clean. I got a filled raspberry glazed, filled lemon glazed, Boston cream, chocolate glazed, strawberry glazed, and a chocolate frosted sour cream. Right off the bat, I was disappointed. The raspberry and lemon filling have an off putting flavor so I am assuming it's purchased elsewhere and not made in house. While the raised doughnuts are nice and soft, they really are too commercial for me. I can tell it's not a homemade doughnut like my momma would make. The sour cream doughnut was good but the frosting on top ruined it for me. It was way too sweet and I was wishing I had gotten plain ones. Overall, if you aren't spoiled like I am by enjoying homemade doughnuts all your life, you may love these. If I was craving a doughnut I'd go back and get a plain doughnut. I can't believe I haven't reviewed Bakers Dozen yet. I'm a doughnut snob...and very particular about raised yeast donuts vs. cake donuts. I find cake donuts to be too dense and sit heavy in my stomach. Duck Donuts seems to be everyone's go-to and the #1 recommendation when I asked around for the best donuts. Bakers Dozen! Amazing. Yes, they have cake donuts too but their yeast (raised) donuts are beyond! Many flavors to choose from -- glazed, chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and maple frosted. Plus every now and then they have the same donuts but with sprinkles! Yum! The donuts are fluffy and practically melt in your mouth. The icing did not taste like dye like many of the chain donut shops. BUT, the biggest surprise for me was the APPLE FRITTER. OH. EM. GEE. I'm not a fan of any dessert that contains fruit. Especially hot/cooked fruit. The apple fritter was crunchy on the outside and perfectly light on the inside. Each time you take a bite, I'd get that perfect tiny pop of frying oil which says "FRESH". My journey with Baker's Dozen was nothing but unique and well worth it. ' After reading reviews from other people stating that the donuts run out very quickly and that you need to be there before 11 am to have the full selection, I decided to take it a step further. I decided that on one Saturday morning, I would wake up at 7 am to arrive there at 7:30 am to get my donuts for the day. As I got in the car, I realized how crazy this sounded but decided to follow through anyways. Once I arrived at Baker's Dozen, I was surprised to see that not only was I not the only person there, but I was actually towards the middle of a long line that was forming inside the store. At 7:30 am, there was already a large group of regulars who showed up very early to get their donuts. As I waited in line, I had time to figure out what I wanted to get and read reviews on the Apple Fritters. After checking out and ordering one, I can confidently say that it was my favorite out of all the ones I ordered. The crispy outside and subtle apple taste really did it for me. I definitely recommend you come to try this place out if you have the time (and are willing to show up early in the morning). I have called ahead on several occasions to ask if they had certain donuts available and no one has ever answered the phone. I go there and no customers were there and one of the 2 employees was eating their lunch (instead of answering the phone) and they only had about 25-30% of the donuts available at 3:30 PM. Nothing wrong with their donuts at all. Certainly aren't fancy or gourmet like Voodoo Donuts or Blue Star out West, but even so, donuts were staisfying. Prices are fair and service is quick inside with multiple people working the counter on a Saturday morning. It is definitely a popular place as there were at least 6 or 7 people in line. Parking is free and easy out front with plenty of spaces available. Didn't try their coffee but the few donuts choices we tried were fine. Not memorable, but nothing wrong with them at all.
