Customer service wasn't great and the store doesn't look very well maintained. I got the apple fritter, cinnamon roll and donut holes. The cinnamon roll was dry and had no flavor, the apple fritter was passable but I've had better. If I would come back it would only be for the donut holes, those were pretty good. read more

I'm so glad I decided to get my donuts here. I like supporting small businesses but this one exceeded my expectations. I was picking up donuts for a church Christmas brunch for mostly women but a few children were coming. The selection of donuts was amazing and actually very pretty lined up in their glass showcase. I prefer Long Johns to regular donuts. BD used to have Chocolate Bars which I used to purchase frequently. Today I stopped in at 10:20am and they were out of chocolate bars. This is the 6th time in a row that I have driven here only to find that they don't have any Chocolate Bars. They are open until 5pm yet they are out of these bars by 10am each time I stop in. That leaves 7 hours that they are open but without a full selection. I feel that it isn't worth my time or trouble to go here anymore. I need to find somewhere else to get donuts. read more

A no frills donut shop - come in and grab your delicious yeasty donut and head out to splendid donut bliss. We got the original glaze, which like I mentioned is yeasty goodness. Think Krispy Kreme but softer and fluffier. We also grabbed an apple fritter, which they are known for. I can tell you, I completely understand why they are known for it. I like the Raleigh/Cary location so I decided why not try this one out since I happen to be in the area. When I got in there's no one there except for the two ladies working there. One went back and the other one served us as if she was reluctant to do it. I got a bakers dozen of different doughnuts from both sides the crew that I'll be feeding likes all sorts of treats. I paid and even put in a tip. I probably didn't even have to tip. Got home and I discovered that only 12 was given instead of 13 as it's supposed to be for a bakers dozen so that was a bit disappointing. At least the doughnuts were delicious, light, and fluffy. I got the twist, crueler, chocolate dipped, custard filled dipped chocolate, and a Weird looking one. Stopped by while visiting another store in this plaza. Very friendly lady helped us. The selection was pretty limited, however, we did visit at about 1 pm, so maybe the morning rush grabbed them all? We got a lemon filled which was good, the others were quite dry and lacked flavor overall. The buttermilk was very dense, the chocolate sprinkled tasted a bit stale and the glazed was also pretty meh. Again, maybe a better experience would be first thing when the open. I like their donuts but they have such poor customer service. You would have thought that I asked for her to carry my donuts to the car! I purchased a dozen and a half and had 3 medium boxes. She had the worst attitude and sneer on her face when I asked for a bag! I have been here 2 times and she never looks pleasant. I will never go back to receive such poor treatment! While in the area and craving donuts, I found Baker's Dozen Donuts 2 on the map. I have been to Baker's Dozen Donuts before so I was excited to see that they opened a second location! The first time I went to the Cary location it was packed with customers. This location only had one customer in front of me. Thankfully that meant I had choice in any of the donuts. They offer numerous sizes and flavors, all well stocked. Plus they are reasonably priced. I chose a strawberry sprinkle, old fashioned, and lemon filled donut. They were all amazing. Baker's Dozen Donuts in Raleigh deserves a solid 5 stars! The maple frosted donut is my absolute favorite - it's soft, flavorful, and surprisingly still delicious the next day. My second favorite is the glazed donut which is not too sweet, and has a hint of vanilla flavor to it which I found interesting. The prices are reasonable as well, making this place a true gem. Will definitely visit again once I find myself back in Raleigh. read more

My favorites are the glazed raise or actually any "raise" donuts from here. It's dense and don't give you that empty bite full of sugar like some franchise donut places. Their hours are currently Monday-Sunday 6am-5pm. The plaza sign outside reads just "donuts," but it's beside the USPS. read more

My coworker recommended this donut shop a while back but I haven't had an opportunity to try it until now. The business was located in a shared lot with multiple other businesses. There is plenty of parking in front of the business. The shop was clean and had colorful decor inside. The bakery offered donuts, other pastries and drinks. We decided to get a half dozen donuts that has a fixed price. But if you get any of the specialty donuts then you have to pay an up charge for each specialty donut. The clerk was friendly and patient while we decided what to get from the variety of donut options that were available. I tasted the chocolate with custard filling and the glazed donuts. They were really good! They were soft and melted in my mouth. I tasted one of the donuts the next day and it was still soft. The bakery definitely used fresh ingredients. These donuts are way better than Dunkin' Donuts and Krispy Kreme. I will be back! read more

Very good donuts and you get what you pay for. We stuck to the basics (they don't mind if you don't get the fancy, complicated ones.). I'm not sure if I can say this but they are an upscale version of Daylight Donuts, which is fabulous. (If I can't mention another company please delete this part. Located in same strip mall as First Watch sits this unassuming little donut shop. Was showing my granddaughter the pictures of donuts in the window. So of course we had to go in and check it out. Giving a 3 year old her choice of any donut among the plethora of options may be a conundrum but for her, she picked out the sparkly sprinkled donut in a NY minute. Well now I know why people have been raving about the one in Cary, now that we have a brand new one in North Raleigh on Capital Blvd in the shopping strip that has First Watch. Everything's shiny new, sparkling clean and the smell when you walk in...mmmmmm! Friendly Gal waited patiently while I made the hard decisions about which ones to surprise Husband with. Apple Fritter, Raised Sugar, Bavarian Creme and Chocolate Peanut made it into a bag (all for just under $5). The bag even made it home intact. All were terrific!
