Amazing donuts, melts in your mouth, can't stop after my first bite...I got the powdered sugar. It was so addicting. Also, great service.

The donuts looked great on display when you walk in, but unfortunately my experience with the service was disappointing. I ordered a crème brûlée donut and noticed one had a visible finger imprint, as though it had been picked up and put back. There were several other fresh donuts available, so I was surprised it wasn't replaced with a better looking donut. The display case was quite full despite it being later in the day, which made the situation even more frustrating. We ordered a glazed donut, crème brûlée donut, and a Dubai chocolate donut. Unfortunately, none of the donuts lived up to expectations. All three were served cold, the crème brûlée tasted less than fresh and the Dubai chocolate was noticeably dry. I also felt like the Dubai chocolate was overpriced at $7 given the quality. Overall I left disappointed. While the donuts look appealing, the service and quality didn't match the hype, and I don't see myself returning.

It instantly reminded me of the famous Britt's Donuts in Carolina Beach, light, fluffy, perfectly sweet, and dangerously easy to eat more than one. That comparison alone should tell you how good they are. The best perk/deal is their Rainy Day Dozen. If it's raining, you can grab 50% off an original glazed dozen, which somehow makes a gloomy day feel like a celebration. It's a great deal and a very on-brand and community-focused. Everything feels fresh, well-made, and genuinely cared for. Whether you're stopping in for a single donut or taking advantage of the rainy-day deal, Bright Spot consistently delivers. A must-stop donut shop in Raleigh especially if you're a classic glazed fan.

I recently found a hair baked in in my blueberry banana bread and the cashier was quick to rectify this w the option of refund/replacement. Their bakery desserts are beautiful but they aesthetics are as far as my compliments go for them. I tried the strawberry raspberry cheesecake and majority of it was gelatin and chocolate. Since I was so close, an Idle Hour had 30 minutes until closing, I thought I would go in for a Iced Chai Latte--one of my favorites--I love the way Isle Hour makes it, FLAVOR TOWN! Even though it was 30 degrees outside, I still ordered the Iced Chai Tea Latte. I knew that I would be very comfortable in their lounge area. After I ordered, I saw the Hot Chocolate Bomb at the countered. I asked the staff member about it and ordered that also. The Hot Chocolate Bomb is the BOMB --Delicious! I drank my Chai Latte after and was not disappointed. Staff is great--friendly and enthusiastic. Atmosphere very homey.

The decor is nice. Minimalist but chic. Clean. Not too loud or noisy. You can get service at your table. Everyone was nice. It's not totally like a traditional waitstaff, as they don't come by as often, but still helpful and around when I needed something. The cocktails were good - I had the honey bourbon smash. It was well made. So much so I had two! For food, these are shareable small plates. Morning truly felt like a meal. The food came out fast and was hot/fresh. I had the crab claws, crispy shrimp and dumplings. The crab claws were delicious. Lots of them too. Served with bread I didn't use. The crispy shrimp were nice large shrimp and a spicy sauce with rice. I ended up using the rice with the crab claw sauce. And the dumplings were ok but I didn't eat many of them. They were my least favorite. I would come back to enjoy coffee and breakfast, but doubt I come back for dinner.
