If you're looking for fresh desserts this is the place. If you're looking for the perfect portion this is the place! If you're looking to wow your family and friends- this is the place! I really enjoyed the service and the feel of this place. While it was super busy everyone was so helpful!

Have you ever tried a croissant made into a donut? The cronut was amazing! Jelly filled and glazed on the outside. This was a great treat for an account and you can most certainly buy by the dozen. This was more condensed than a donut would be but just as tasty. They offer gluten free options as well as cakes and bakery items.

I would drive out of my way to get this maple bacon glazed croissant again... probably for the best if I don't do that too often tho!! Employees were so friendly, helpful, and patient when helping us choose from all the delicious options.

this place is so good! i loved the cronut. delish. and i even met burney himself! wow! my favorite item though has to be the daves single! mm so good. a delicious burger with one patty. so juicy and soo good! i also loved how it had a cool sign out front that said "burger king" in red letters inbetween 2 burger buns! not very representative of the cronut tho. i also enjoyed trying the mexican pizza! overall, food, service, and ambience! great!

The cupcake ice cream is very good. Likewise for the chocolate buttercream glazed croissant.

My kid was craving donuts after lunch and the nearest one we found that was open was this spot! It's located in a plaza, so parking isn't a problem! We opened the door and was instantly greeted by the employees. I'm pretty huge on that! Haha. It was clean inside and smelled so delicious! Their case was filled with so many different kinds of donuts! They even had other kinds of different desserts in the other case! Everything looked so delicous and fun! We ordered: the cinnamon and sugar donuts. the sprinkled pink donut And my favorite, the pumpkin cream cheese donut!! It was so light and fluffy!! The pumpkin flavor was delicious! I was so sad I took the last one! This is definitely our go-to spot for donuts or any sort of sweet treat! Highly recommend!

    Mini pecan pie

The pecan pie was good. If you're familiar with Costco's pecan pie, it wasn't overly sweet like that with candied pecans. However, it was expensive for a mini pie. I could've nearly gotten a pumpkin pie at Costco for the price. I would've preferred they had pie by the slice. An entire one is a better value, but too much for me or any friends I dine with. The service was ok. The more gregarious sociable employee didn't know how to ring me up (seems no one buys the minis). The shy one did, but avoided eye contact. When I complimented their Zelda Breath of the Wild shirt and asked if they'd played the new game, they perked up. It's in a dreary old strip mall. As you can probably tell from the picture taken in a car, there's nowhere to sit. With just a few customers, there wasn't space to take pictures. I was in the area for lunch, but wouldn't likely make the drive back from Apex unless I needed a whole pie.

    So much to choose from

Croissant? Yes please! Filled croissants?? Absolutely!! Glazed, filled croissants??? Shut the front door!!! My keto diet went completely off the rails today. Thanks a lot Burney. Good thing this place is two hours from my house.

A great bakery with tons of options! From cakes, macarons, croissants, donuts, pastries, ice cream and more. We had glazed croissants and coffee and a muffin and they were delicious. The muffins were delicious just a bit small for the price, but the coffee was great and they have many syrup flavors. The best looking thing was a 15 layer fudge cake and they have another flavor as well. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful I highly recommend to stop by for a quick snack or grabbing a dozen pastries to bring to someone.

    Maple Bacon Croissant

I'm not really big on sweets but this place is totally addictive. First visit was 5 stars all across the board. The customer service was friendly and A1. She took the time to explain various things to me and offered a sample. The pastries I picked out were amazing. I wish I had gotten more. Something I've since rectified. I have been back and each thing that I've tried has been delicious. Also, they sell cake slices, cookies, etc... The 15 layer chocolate cake and the caramel cake are pretty tasty. I've recently tried the honey bun and it was both good and bad. Good because it was quite delicious. Bad because I don't know if I ever want to get a little debbie's honey bun again lol. If you are in the mood for something sweet, I highly recommend this place.

A great bakery tucked away on Falls. I have frequented the Southport location many times. I stopped in here recently and had the best cheese danish ever and a delicious french roast coffee to go with it. I love Burney's and wish I lived closer so I could go all the time. The staff was super friendly as well!

One of my co-workers brought in doughnuts from Burney's Sweets to share with the office. I'm not sure what all the flavors were, but they all looked and smelled wonderful. I tried a little piece of the Thanksgiving colored doughnut. It was a cake doughnut that kind of tasted like lemon with frosting and sprinkles. It was a yummy treat!

A bialy (bee-AH-lee) is a traditional Polish-Jewish bread roll, similar to a bagel but with key differences: it is baked, not boiled, has a dimpled center filled with onion bits and poppy seeds, and is generally softer and less dense. Originating in Białystok, Poland, these rolls are traditionally served plain or toasted with toppings like butter or schmear. 2. Rye shortbread. Not too sweet. Just perfection! 3. Bran biscotti. I like the idea of a high-fiber bran biscotti over a refined flour one. 4. Buchi Tepache. I got the mango-pineapple flavor. This is a local NC brand. It's a mildly fermented drink that originated in Mexico. I got the ingredients from their website (drinkbuchi.com): Organic Tibicos (Water, Organic Fair Trade Certified™* Cane Sugar, Organic Kefir Culture), Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, Organic Mango Puree, Organic Pineapple Juice Concentrate, Organic Whole Lemon Puree, Organic Mango Natural Flavor, Organic Pineapple Natural Flavor, Organic Monk Fruit Extract. 5. The baguette. Unlike a refined flour white bread baguette at La Farm Bakery, this one is made of a red wheat flour. Turkey Red flour is an heirloom, organic hard red winter wheat brought to Kansas in 1873 by Mennonite immigrants. Prized for its rich, nutty flavor and superior baking qualities, it is often used for artisan bread, sourdough, and pasta due to its unique, sometimes more digestible, gluten profile. It is commonly stone-ground and available from local Kansas millers. 6. The star of the show was the Everything Croissant. Like the Everything Bagel but soft and buttery. Topped with all the sesame seeds and seasonings with a cream cheese interior. So good! I do plan on returning!

You can tell. It's a wonderful neighborhood spot where people meet up every day. It's definitely recommend it if you're not yet visited. The space is fairly large and they stay open late (until 11 PM on weekends), making it a great place to hang out with friends or stop by to satisfy a sweet tooth during a night out. I've purchased their macarons as gifts, tried several desserts here and to-go, grabbed coffee and stayed to do work, and even stopped by for lunch. Their light bites are quite tasty, and I especially enjoy their phyllo-dough pastries. Their latte options are great--the flavors are creative yet still approachable, and the syrup options are delicious. Service is attentive and efficient. There's always a big team behind the counter, and instead of calling names, they give you a number and bring food or drinks directly to your table, which is so thoughtful! They can get quite busy at times - lots of families and big groups stop by to hang out. I enjoy the community it brings, though sometimes this is not the most ideal place to get work done. Highly recommend Asali for anyone looking to try creative desserts, a great cup of latte!
