I've been going to Nana's for over a year now and I should have posted this long ago. But since we finally did a holiday pie order, it is as good a time as ever to give this review. Such a great bakery! The scones are amazing. Every time we have people from out of town come, I will sneak out Saturday morning and get an assortment of these scones along with an assortment of other breakfast goods that wins all out of towners over. The Thanksgiving pies might become a christmas tradition. All of them were wonderful but the chocolate chess pie was a huge hit! Never had one as good as here. The staff is friendly and always baking large corporate orders, wedding orders, birthday goods, and sweets for every type of event. If you grab a coffee from Full Bloom around the corner, you would do yourself a disservice if you don't grab a pastry here to pair it with.

The downtown village of Garner is small. This is the gem that stands out amongst the few retail locations surrounding this bakeshop. The apple fritter was fresh, chewy, and bursting with little pieces of Apple. The Bavarian cream donut had a bittersweet chocolate topping which was not what I was expecting. I did sample their focaccia bread which was outstanding. This is a locally owned business as evidenced by the number of people coming in and saying hello to the owner. Compared to grocery store baked goods and the local Dunkin' Donuts this shop is far superior. I hope that they will continue to increase the number of items they offer for sale as time goes by.

These bakery treats are to die for. The cupcakes are always moist & delicious. They don't skimp out on anything here. And it's all very reasonably priced. The owner is so kind and makes an effort to build a sense of community with her business.

Staff was friendly when we went, we left with a variety of things from the window. It was okay, but I felt they all were missing small steps that left their product's kind of lackluster. For example, brushing cake layers or cupcakes with simple syrups goes a really long way to ensure they dont dry out in the window. The danish/pastries mostly felt like commercially made products assembled on site with fresh fruits added. Its a cute place and Im glad to see they've succeeded so far.

I love their cupcakes. I try to go at least once a week. My husband prefer an apple fritter.

I also go to her for every other occasion--holidays, showers, communions, parties, you name it--and she NEVER misses. In fact, her cakes always turn out even more beautiful than the inspo photos I send her (and I send some pretty detailed ones!). But it's not just the looks--her cakes taste incredible. Moist, flavorful, and always a hit with both kids and adults. I can't tell you how many times guests have asked, "Where did you get this cake?!" And when I send them to Aurora, without fail, they fall in love too. She has a whole little fan club now just from my referrals! Aurora pours so much love and artistry into her work, and it shows. Her creativity, attention to detail, and ability to bring ideas to life are unmatched. My guests are constantly blown away, and the kids now think she's some kind of magical cake wizard. Honestly, they're not wrong! She's reliable, communicative, and just so fun to work with--an absolute gem. If you're looking for a cake that wows both visually and in flavor, look no further. Cake Lady Aurora is IT.

Also, cakes are very generic; the design options such as flowers & butterflies are merely items you find in hobby lobby, very low creative effort with this bakery. If I could give zero stars, I would. John is a terrible businessman but if you would like a birthday cake or any type of cake for an event, DO NOT COME HERE

A bialy (bee-AH-lee) is a traditional Polish-Jewish bread roll, similar to a bagel but with key differences: it is baked, not boiled, has a dimpled center filled with onion bits and poppy seeds, and is generally softer and less dense. Originating in Białystok, Poland, these rolls are traditionally served plain or toasted with toppings like butter or schmear. 2. Rye shortbread. Not too sweet. Just perfection! 3. Bran biscotti. I like the idea of a high-fiber bran biscotti over a refined flour one. 4. Buchi Tepache. I got the mango-pineapple flavor. This is a local NC brand. It's a mildly fermented drink that originated in Mexico. I got the ingredients from their website (drinkbuchi.com): Organic Tibicos (Water, Organic Fair Trade Certified™* Cane Sugar, Organic Kefir Culture), Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, Organic Mango Puree, Organic Pineapple Juice Concentrate, Organic Whole Lemon Puree, Organic Mango Natural Flavor, Organic Pineapple Natural Flavor, Organic Monk Fruit Extract. 5. The baguette. Unlike a refined flour white bread baguette at La Farm Bakery, this one is made of a red wheat flour. Turkey Red flour is an heirloom, organic hard red winter wheat brought to Kansas in 1873 by Mennonite immigrants. Prized for its rich, nutty flavor and superior baking qualities, it is often used for artisan bread, sourdough, and pasta due to its unique, sometimes more digestible, gluten profile. It is commonly stone-ground and available from local Kansas millers. 6. The star of the show was the Everything Croissant. Like the Everything Bagel but soft and buttery. Topped with all the sesame seeds and seasonings with a cream cheese interior. So good! I do plan on returning!

They have fresh milk for sale from dairy farm in Juliet, nc, the coffees are incredible! It was super busy so you have to wait a little for a table, but the pastries are so incredible that it's worth the wait! The ambience feels like an industrial bakery, but it's inviting and cozy. You can tell. It's a wonderful neighborhood spot where people meet up every day. It's definitely recommend it if you're not yet visited. And if you're looking for a place to get your fresh bread weekly then I highly suggest this space.
