Snow Cheese Chicken (half) Creamy Garlic Chicken (half)
    Madison H.

I tried the two half orders of Bone Chicken in two flavors: - Snow Cheese: dry powdered with sweetness - Creamy Garlic: sauced and creamy I prefer the creamy garlic as the flavor was more unique. Inside of the chicken was well seasoned too. Price is a bit exp at $18.07 per half order, but makes sense due to inflation. For me this tasted better than Chimaek which I found the inside bland and dry. Would return to try other flavors.

1 lb creamy garlic wings, half and half bone in chicken in snow cheese and soy garlic

This is the absolute best & cheapest Korean fried chicken in the area!! My favourite flavour is creamy garlic - sooo flavourful and garlicy. The pieces for the bone in chicken are generous and super juicy - you get about 16 pieces for a half and half order. I have kept coming back again and again after getting it the first time and every time is just as good as the first.

Boneless chicken - honey, spicy peanut, seasoned, snow

Tried the new location at Finch+Midland for the first time and it was really good! I find their chicken to be "drier" than other Korean fried chicken places but in a good way. Less greasy but still very flavourful :) Tried honey, spicy peanut, snow, and seasoned. Honey was my fav :)

Date visited : Saturday January 15, 2022 Comments : First time visiting. Also this resto is newly opened. Debit is accepted. This resto speciality is Korean Fried Chicken. Which if I recall is a double fried process. This is strictly take out apparently, since there are no tables or chairs inside, even if there were, the venue can't hold that many ppl eating in. Expect to wait approx 15 min at least to get your order. Service : 3/5 Staff was friendly, tho I think there was a new trainee present during our visit. They were speaking Korean behind the counter. Food : 3/5 We opted for the 1/2 chicken "Fried" which is the basic fried chicken offering without any additional sauces or flavorings. We got the bone-in version for $16.99 + Tax. Our order took almost 15 minutes for it to be ready. The skin was crispy and crunchy. Even after bringing it home, we transported the food inside my Skip The Dishes thermal bag..so that helped maintain the quality. Light on the seasoning, not too salty to our taste along with an important factor, not being oily/greasy to the touch. Drinks : n/a Portion Size Value for Money Spent : 3/5 You get a 1/2 chicken worth of food for $16.99 "fried" version, when you get different flavors of the 1/2 chicken or whole chicken it goes up in price. We got about 8 pieces in our order of "Fried" Chicken. For our budget it's a bit steep. The whole "Fried" bone-in chicken is $28.99, boneless for $30.99. For that price can get 3 whole BBQ roasted chickens from Walmart. It's okay for a treat or for a date night meal, not sure if we would make this a regular occurrence. Worth a repeat visit : For a date night meal to try different flavors yes. Likely just the 1/2 chicken order tho..whole chicken order is steep for our budget.

The crispness of the chicken is a gift, I would recommend you to have a friend or the whole group to share the food and try other dishes

During the indoor dining closure, I decided to get some Korean fried chicken from drunken chicken. In my opinion, Korean fried chicken is way better than the westernized kind - less oily and doesn't make me feel heavy and sick after. Drunken chicken was amazing! I got a half half order of creamy garlic and soy garlic chicken. It was on the pricy side - I believe close to $40. Came with a side of pickled radish. One thing I loved about the soy garlic flavour was that it came with whole cloves of fried garlic. I'm a garlic lover so this was amazing! The chicken was crispy, lightly battered and juicy on the inside. I think this is my new favourite KFC spot.

Whole half and half bonecreamy garlic and snow cheese ~!

Amazing Amazing!! This is what you call real Korean fried chicken! They make every from scratch! It is so fresh and so tasty! I am big fan of Korean fried chicken and definitely this place so far is best. Recommend!!!!! Won't regret!

Half and Half Boneless. Snowing Cheese and Creamy Garlic.

We had the half and half boneless. Snowing Cheese and Creamy Garlic. One of the crispiest fried chicken I've ever had. Both flavours tasted great as well. The price is a little high for me to consider it good value though.

The fries come in different in different colours , with each representing a different flavour. My personal flavour were the yellow and orange colour chicken fries which was turmeric and tomato flavour. The spice level we picked was light and it was for perfect for me - someone who can't really handle much spice The thing I love the most about these chicken fries is it had just the right amount seasoning and crunch too it . Didn't feel really oily either. Price is a tad steep $ 10.05 for fries but since it's actually chicken , it seemed ok . I will go back to buy the actual chicken cup as that seems like a better value and I'll get to pick my fav flavour !

The colouring on the chicken fries is supposed to be natural from ground up ingredient powders. I'm not sure if the owner is taiwanese or mainlander but he was really friendly. Didn't have any tissues and also no washroom at inside this unit, but he went to his CAR and grabbed me some wet naps to clean my hands which was really kind of him. The cutlet itself was breaded well, crispy and the chicken was juicy. The price is kinda steep so if it would've been a lil cheaper I'd award 5 stars. I'm keen to try some chicken fries with cuttlefish or tomato powder on the batter next time. It's a relatively chill spot and I don't think it's as well known as it's competitors, Monga or Hot Star, but it holds its own imo.

We walked into a busy, energetic space that stays lively throughout the day, with a steady flow of customers moving through the line. The dining room is casual and functional, the kind of place where the focus stays on the food rather than the atmosphere, and the bright, cheerful decor adds to the brand's playful identity. The Chickenjoy is easily the star of the menu. We ordered a few pieces and found the chicken had a crispy, well-seasoned coating while staying juicy inside, and it was even better dipped in the savory gravy that comes on the side. The spicy version added a noticeable kick without overpowering the chicken itself, and the balance of seasoning and heat made it a satisfying choice. The Peach Mango Pie is another must-order, with its flaky crust and warm, fruity filling that makes for one of the best fast food desserts around, and we found ourselves wishing we had ordered a second one. The Jolly Spaghetti is uniquely Filipino, featuring a sweet tomato sauce with sliced hot dogs and cheese, and while it is definitely different from traditional Italian pasta, it is worth trying if you want the full Jollibee experience. Other popular choices like the palabok and burger steak round out the menu with more Filipino-inspired flavors, giving you options beyond the standard fried chicken meal. The restaurant stays busy throughout the day, so waits during peak hours are common, but the staff generally keep orders moving as quickly as possible. Service is friendly, and despite the crowds, the dining room is usually kept clean and organized. The team handles the steady flow efficiently, and the turnover is fast enough that the wait does not feel excessive. Prices have increased over the years, making it less of a bargain than it once was, but the portions are satisfying and the food is consistently fresh. Jollibee remains one of the best fast food options if you are craving fried chicken with something a little different. Between the crispy Chickenjoy, iconic Peach Mango Pie, and unique Filipino menu, it is a place that is easy to recommend whether you are a longtime fan or visiting for the first time, offering a meal that feels both familiar and distinct, and a taste of Filipino fast food culture that stands out from the usual chains.

Cost over $20, where did the inexpensive fast food prices disappear to? Counter staff were very nice and polite. Tables and seats were immaculately cleaned unlike most other fast food locations. They give you a small cup of brown gravy to dip the chicken into but I didn't want to mask the chicken flavor profile so I keep the gravy to bring home I believe their spaghetti is made with banana ketchup which gives it a sweetness, I liked it but others may not. To top this delicious meal off with their notorious peach mango pie which did not disappoint, the peach/mango flavor really came through All in all a great lunch, I just wish the prices were a little more affordable

There was a lineup when I entered but it seemed to be moving quite well. Like a lot of places these days, they offer a special on Tuesdays (and Mondays) for a two piece chicken and fries. I added a small coleslaw and a drink. That's my dinner! It didn't take long to get my order. They kinda had all the food and boxes lined up and ready to go so it was more like an assembly job. That's great for fast service, not so great for getting fresh food. By the time it was my turn, they were out of chicken legs and substituted a wing. I didn't mind, especially since I got the thigh, as advertised. Unfortunately, although the flavour wasn't bad, it didn't taste very fresh. I kinda feel like they cooked a whole lot of chicken and were just filling orders quickly. Same for the fries. They were a bit soggy. After sitting at a table on the patio for a couple of minutes, I realized they forgot my coleslaw. I went back in and got it. No problem. Suppose I had driven away? Hmmm... If they did as I suspect, have all the food cooked and ready to be packaged, it's good for speedy service but not so great for food quality. If they didn't, then...

The broth wasn't very salty but still flavourful and once you let the peppers steep into the broth, they add a lovely spicy kick. Another substantial dish is the steamed pork bo saam ($49.99 for large) where slices of pork belly are kept warm on a hot plate. Diners tuck these soft meat slices into lettuce, Napa cabbage, and turnip with a smear of the savoury bean sauce for a protein packed bite. Our table was split about the haemui pa jeon ($28.99). The size of a medium pizza, it's made for a group. Personally, I found it way too thick and didn't contain enough ingredients to balance out the doughiness of the Korean style pancake. Conversely, my relatives preferred the heft as it contrasted the crispy exterior and soft interior. I guess it depends if you're a thin versus pan crust type of pizza lover. I'm firmly in the Neapolitan camp. I thoroughly enjoyed the crust that develops on the bottom of yachae dolsot bibimbap ($18.99). And the hot stone rice bowl contained a good combination of ingredients to ensure there was plenty of vegetables and beef to go around. De Chou's LA kalbi ($34.99) was rather neutral with very little sauce, so you mostly taste the beef. I personally would have preferred more sauce to help caramelize onto the beef ribs, but the older members of the family appreciated the plainness and liked that it was tender. (3/5) De Chou Korean Restaurant - Lunch Review…read more We stopped by De Chou Korean Restaurant for lunch today since we happened to be nearby. The sign said it opens at 11:30 a.m., and true to their word, the doors opened exactly on time. The restaurant itself is quite large and impressively clean -- that was my first good impression. We originally went in because of the sign outside advertising Korean ginseng chicken soup, but when we asked the server, he told us it's no longer on the menu. A bit disappointing, especially since my wife wasn't feeling well and I thought that soup would've been perfect for her. We ordered two Bulgogi Dolsot Bibimbaps ($21.99 each). The portion was decent, but the flavor was a bit bland and not salty enough for our taste -- overall I'd give it a 6/10. We also tried the Japchae ($13.99). Unfortunately, it was too greasy, a bit slimy, and overcooked -- about a 4/10 for me. They served five small side dishes, which were just average (5/10), and a small cup of noodle soup that was lukewarm and slightly sweet -- not to my liking, as I prefer savory over sweet in Korean food. The total came to $65.51 before tip, and we left a standard 15%. To be fair, by the time we finished lunch, there were quite a few tables filled, so maybe other dishes are better. But based on what we ordered today, the food didn't live up to the price. Would I go again? Probably not.
