I think I would actually give this place 3 1/2 stars if I could mainly due to it being a little pricy for what you get and I haven't been impressed with the cold brews I selected. The Pumpkin pie cold brew, and cold brew with hazelnut and oat milk did not have a strong enough coffee flavor. The first time I visited I had the açaí bowl with peanut butter and it was very tasty. The açaí is more like a sorbet rather than the thin, soupy stuff some places serve, so I appreciated that. On the 2nd visit I had avocado toast with a fried egg on top. It was good, but there was too much lemon flavor either in or on the avocado. Maybe it was to prevent it from turning brown, but if you cut the avocado to order that wouldn't be a problem. I enjoyed the crunchiness of the radish on top and the micro greens. The hubby had the breakfast sandwich sandwich both visits and enjoyed it both times. It's a bright, cheerful spot just around the corner from the beach so you can grab your food to go and hangout on the beach if you would like. read more

Cute little cafe with unique breakfast options. I have been multiple times, and highly recommend the Strawberry Coconut Quinoa which comes in a cute coconut bowl. The Breakfast Bowl is another favorite of mine and makes you feel good about eating eggs and potatoes because the potatoes are sweet potatoes and it is served with greens. The coffee is right up there with other third wave places. The machine is legit so you get a real latte, and they seem to always have some specials to keep things interesting. I still need to try the breakfast panna cotta because it is always sold out. They also have some salads and sandwiches that sound good. The design esthetic makes it a place you want to hang out... a little boho with pillows and plants, but the proximity to the beach, makes it easy to eat on the beach too. read more

We came to this location for the 5 star rating. Nice area the environment and theme of the location is great for homework and college students to do some studying. Service was excellent and friendly. Food was good but on the other hand the coffee was missing is flavor, tasted more like milk rather than coffee. But will probably come back and try something new. read more

needed to kill some time so took a work call at this cute cafe. ordered the "Basic Beach" specialty latte and the bacon quiche which came with a delicious strawberry side salad. prices were very reasonable and everything was tasty. had no problems accessing the internet with the password the cashier provided after i ordered. there a few reviews on here where people complain about their experience working remotely but my connection was fast and i was even sitting outside. also not sure why people would be mad about not being able to use the wifi if they haven't purchased anything. it's a business, not some free internet charity. read more

Wow, the food is delicious! I was so excited to try the Strawberry Coconut Quinoa and I loved it. It isn't too sweet, the almonds coconut and strawberries feel like it's dessert but it's not. I want to have this every morning. The quiche was excellent...onions, bacon, guyere and with a side salad of arugula. The breakfast bowl was great. Nice to have healthy breakfast options. Indoor seating was comfortable. Definitely will be back read more

Pleasant experience both times I've stopped by! I had the beet overnight oats and they were great - not super sweet (i would even say some bites were savory), loaded with fresh fruit, and sprinkled with nut and honey. All menu items were enticing so I'm excited to return. Ambience is great too - all around an unexpectedly peaceful little oasis next to one of PB's popular brunches - you wouldn't even know what was going on outside sitting inside! read more

The service here was amazing! We received a warm greeting from a gentleman and I told him we were visiting from Arizona. He recommended the Drift coffee and a lavender latte after to told him what we liked. Both were amazing! So much that we returned the next day and had the same great experience. This is the best coffee shop in Pacific Beach! It's so close to the ocean - I love picking up a coffee or matcha before my boardwalk strolls. All their drinks and food never disappoint. Damn good breakfast burrito! I came here out of convenience to my hotel for a hearty breakfast during my stay in Pacific Beach and was glad I did. The vibe is super cool with pretty decor, the staff is friendly, and the star of the show, the breakfast burrito, was fantastic. Great size for the price, toasted on the outside, and of course delicious. I also got a cold brew which was flavorful and strong. I hope to come back in future visits to PB. read more

So cute and very cozy. Such a San Diego vibe which I love! Food and coffee was exceptionally delicious. Usually there are only pastries at most cafes but we were pleasantly surprised by their menu. My husband and I ordered the Breakfast Burrito with bacon and also the Spinach and Feta Quiche. Both were cooked very well! Especially for being a cafe! The Drift Latte has panella and cinnamon so it has this smokey sweet taste to it. Batch brew was delicious and rich. My husband is a coffee snob, but this place did him great justice! Glad a real cafe with REAL delicious coffee opened up in PB. We don't need anymore fast food like coffee shops! Thank you all! read more

Stopped here just a bit ago hoping to work remotely while enjoying a drink. The place is in a very walkable area of Pacific beach, right on Mission Boulevard. Inside, is a well decorated small café with plenty of seating that was probably half full. I was able to snag a space right by the window Ordered a dirty chai latte that was delivered right to my seat, and had good flavor for around $6 before tax and tip. The reason I would not come back here is due to the service I experienced that turned me off. I asked for the Wi-Fi information which was given to me, but I could not find the Wi-Fi account. I asked other patrons who were using a laptop and everyone was using their hotspot because the Wi-Fi was not available. When I approached one of the staff I was dismissed and retold the same information even though I explained that I could not find the guest Wi-Fi. Stood there waiting for the staff to come back and help, but they did not. I got a to go cup for my dirty chai latte and went home. read more

Service was poor. On par with national fast food chains except you expect it for the price there and they don't ask for tips. Drift asks for tip on every transaction before any service is given. We tipped 20% on a pick up order because that was their recommendation in their software, and in return was given blatantly careless interactions and a huge resistance to help make sure I had what I needed. Very off putting. Oh yeah, the food was good, so I gave it an extra star. read more

Great little spot for breakfast! We wandered on a Saturday morning after Thanksgiving. My husband had the french toast and breakfast sandwich and I had a blackberry banana muffin. I wanted the overnight oats, but sadly they were out. They have a nice little selection of bottled drinks and coffee options. I wanted to try some of the coffee, but I had just had one earlier. There's a good bit of seating inside. The music was fun and upbeat, but calm enough to be able to sit and get some work done. Next time we're in PB we'll drop back by. read more

The Mushroom Spinach scramble was excellent and filling, and the breakfast plate was good, too. You can eat inside or out on the sidewalk by the busy street. Inside are a bunch of single tables for the laptop/work people. The logistics of ordering, getting food, getting other things you need, cleaning up, and leaving are a bit discombobulated. For example, they deliver food and forget silverware. The five minutes of waiting for a fork while looking at your food seems to be an eternity. Oh, and the salt and pepper another 5 minutes. Since people are waiting for tables, the people leaving want to clear their tables but there is no place to put trash and plates. People wander like zombies with dirty dishes. I can see it is a very laid back atmosphere and works well for the mochafrappachino laptoppers. How can a place make any money on them? read more

It's not a bad little Cafe to get breakfast, especially if you're looking for somewhere to sit down early in the day. My personal preference takes me to other places, nearby, for coffee, but the food is good. We've gotten sandwiches, quiche, and the street tacos, all of which were fresh and tasty (though portions were on the smaller end). The bowls can be filling, but generally it's not really I place I would go for a meal, more something light to eat. Staff is pleasant and cheerful. read more

I have been coming here ever since they first opened! I love this cafe and the owner, store manager and staff have become like a second family to me! Not only do they make great drinks, they have a delicious food menu! You can't go wrong with anything you order because it all tastes so good and you can tell they care about your experience. We ordered Breakfast Burrito #3 ($15), Big Breakfast 2 ($15), and a side of Kono Potatoes ($7). The portions are pretty big and we had to take some of our food to go. However, I was very disappointed by the taste and the lack of meat in both the breakfast burrito and potatoes. The burrito was 95% eggs and potatoes with small pieces of bacon shoved at the bottom. It didn't have any flavor and was pretty dry, so I wouldn't recommend it.

All the things you want in an awesome chicken breakfast sandwich. - The place is small..nothing fancy to report. It's more of a quick bite and go situation. - Nothing to note on service. I literally ordered, paid and grabbed a spot. Cons: - Located next to Breakfast Republic so this corner area is definitely a tight squeeze. They definitely know how to fry things well.

I had been at the seaport Village location before which was also excellent. I got the bagel of the month which was the Ube bagel and I got it with the Ube cream cheese and oh my goodness it was so fun. It was a nice purple color so it just made eating it that much more delightful. The staff was also amazing. So polite. I also got the iced chai latte which was absolutely delicious. Thinking about it I'm craving one right now hahaha They do have seating inside but it is limited. There is street parking. If you park on Garnet or on Cass right in front of the establishment it is pay parking. But you can literally Drive one block away and it is free to park in the residential area. Since it is only a few blocks from the beach I can imagine at certain times parking would be trickier than others. But do yourself a favor and come here for a bagel and a drink.

We tried a few items on their menu: Iced Taro latte - we got this half sweet, but it was well balanced, and the coffee was very tasty. Sun-dried tomato bagel with chive cream cheese - this bagel was light airy and had a nice cheesy sun-dried tomato on top. The cream cheese was also very light and fragrant. Really enjoyed this! Everything bagel with chive cream cheese - had to try this classic bagel and it did not disappoint. Lots of seeds on top and a high-quality bagel The food all came out very quickly, and the baristas were very friendly. Will definitely be back to try more of their sandwiches on the menu, get their bagels again, and try more of their drinks!
