Fig tree was amazing! I hadn't been back in years and it's nice to see the food is still super good, service is friendly and the place is so cute and clean! I ordered a chai and the berries French toast and it was so good! Also got garlic fries on the side and it was heavenly. Highly recommend!
Came here for a classic brunch spot and left knowing I had the best apple fritter pancakes. Ambiance gives adult rainforest cafe vibes. Food portions for the classic breakfast was great. Would recommend the California breakfast burrito and Chipotle chilaquiles! For something sweet, please try the apple fritter and fig and ricotta French toast!!!
My mom and I came here on a Friday for breakfast. It wasn't that busy. I didn't know the restaurant was pretty much all outside and it was kinda cold. The heater went out halfway through our meal. I got the short rib benedict and my mom got the apple fritter & lemon curd pancakes. They were very yummy but sugary. The food was kinda cold so idk if it was sitting there for a bit before we got it. After we got our food, our server didn't check on us. We had to ask a different server for our bill. Mid food and bad service. I probably wouldn't come back.
The pancake/French toast sampler was amazing. The apple fritter pancake was the best. I could eat that forever. The fig and ricotta french toast was very delicious. The lemon pancake was also very good but my least favorite out of the three. I also got the short rib eggs Benedict which was very good. The short rib was tender and juicy. I didn't get much flavor from the hollandaise. I was not a fan of their ketchup because of its aftertaste. Maybe I'm just too used to ketchup. The service was ok, our waiter seemed to be busy and understaffed because we didn't see them for a while and had to get our own refills on water. The cafe was also kind of dark and there were some birds flying around that we had to dodge. I would go back for that apple fritter pancake.
I took my Wife, mom and grandma here for mother's Day a week after mother's Day to beat the traffic. My grandma and mom just got regular eggs sausage and pancakes my wife got the lemon curd pancakes I got a turkey meatloaf pesto hash. My hash was good but it was all one note it needed something to cut thru, my grandma and mom enjoyed their plates but my wife didn't enjoy her lemon curd pancakes the lemon was to strong and she had to wipe it off . I will go back and pick other items cause they do have a nice menu and the customer service was good.
New to the area and I've walked by Fig Tree Cafe everyday! My mom came to visit and I decided it was the perfect time to try it! The cafe is cute and quaint. Very Boho surfer vibes. Service was great! The manager came by to say hi and check on us. I was so excited to see that they had shakshuka on the menu so I had to order it! The poached eggs were cooked to perfection and the sauce was incredible. It also came with Pita bread. My Mom ordered the short rib Benedict with foccia bread and the meat was tender and delicious. Everything was great and I will definitely be returning.

Great cafe down the block from our AirBnB. Great outdoor vibe, delicious food, varied menu and nice staff. We had the breakfast sandwich with sausage, short rib Benedict, lemon ricotta pancakes and vegan crispy cauliflower with soy chorizo, vegan egg and hollandaise sauce. Breakfast potatoes were awesome.

Even though it's totally open-air, the trees and plants make it feel kind of tucked away and cozy. I ordered the chipotle chilaquiles and WOW. So good. The sauce had just the right amount of kick, and the chips stayed crispy--not that sad, soggy mess you sometimes get. My mom got the Benedict and liked it too, but I definitely won that round. Also had a honey lavender latte and now I'm obsessed--wish I had one right now honestly.
Solid Brunch Spot with Some Hits and One Miss cute, plant-filled patio vibe drew us in right away. It's got that relaxed PB charm, perfect for a casual weekend brunch. I went for the Crispy Pork Belly and Grits, and wow, the pork belly was absolutely perfect in my book: super juicy, incredibly flavorful, and that ideal fatty crispiness that makes it indulgent without being overwhelming. The grits were a totally new thing for me, and the first few bites were amazing--rich and tasty. But halfway through, the sauce started to feel a bit too heavy and salty for my taste (it was pretty drenched), so I didn't finish it all. I get that it might appeal to folks who love bold, savory flavors, though! My husband got the Crispy Chicken Sandwich, which he really enjoyed--crispy exterior, juicy inside, well-seasoned, and overall flavorful. Solid choice. We added a side of Thick Cut Bacon, and honestly, this was the only real disappointment. It wasn't thick at all, and the flavor came off like a weird experiment with clashing seasonings that just didn't work together. Skip this one. To end on a high note, we shared the Berry Sweet French Toast, and it was delicious--not overly sweet, just the right balance to hit the spot and leave us satisfied. Overall, a good experience with some standout dishes. Service was friendly, and the outdoor seating is lovely.
Love this place. Eva was our server and super sweet and attentive. Only thing is the bowl that the soup was in was super shallow so it got cold very fast, but the truffle potatoes are so good.
Fig tree is a cute little restaurant. The food was okay, the potato's were dry and the eggs Benedict were good but nothing extraordinary. Our server was pretty bad, she kept forgetting about refilling our drinks and quite frankly, she wasn't very nice. The atmosphere It's really cute!

Fig Tree cafe is a solid and affordable breakfast/brunch option in PB. It has a very crunchy granola aesthetic. The food was decent, nothing extraordinary but good prices and hefty portions. Service was also good. Definitely recommend checking it out for the atmosphere read more

Had brunch at Fig Tree Cafe for my friend's birthday and absolutely loved it! It wasn't my first time but it was his and he loved it! The vibe is so cute, especially with the outdoor seating and adorable decor. I got the mimosa flight, which was delicious, along with the Berry Sweet French Toast, bacon, and potatoes. The house potatoes are to die for, and the arugula potatoes were my first time trying them. I highly recommend them because they were so good! The staff was incredibly friendly, kind, and attentive, which made the experience even better. Such a great spot for brunch with friends. Definitely recommend checking them out! read more
Kind of off the beach path location we were there with a group of girls and not the establishing us fault but our fault. One of our friends came late, but when they delivered our food and we kept asking for a server or someone to take our order it took about 15 minutes to get someone over to actually take the order. On Sunday at 11:30 it was not busy so take what you want. It's kind of off the beaten path but I like that. Lots of gluten-free options my friends are so thankful for that and you can have any of the French toast made into gluten-free. I had the burrito. First time coming in here after a marathon we ran, though they did have a wait time due to the overall people that came in that day, IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT! I ordered the steak Benedict and boy the food was GREAT! The setting, the vibe was there! Only issue is the parking, if by any chance you come in like the day we came in, you'll have a hard time looking for a spot, but other than that, will totally comeback here! read more

The main entrance is gorgeous. The giant fig tree is enormous. Our server, Mark, was on top of everything. We ordered the french toast/pancake sampler with lemon ricotta pancakes, lemon strawberry french toast, and berry sweet french toast. It was delicious, especially the lemon strawberry french toast. My husband loved the crispy pork belly & grits. Thank you Mark for the recommendation. We tried a traditional breakfast, as well as the short rib sandwich. Our food runner, Axel, was super nice as well. The manager, Eva, and hostess, Maggie were also very friendly. The restrooms were clean also. We will definitely come back on our next visit. read more

We had a great waiter Jake. Friendly and good service. My second time here first time for my husband. We just dropped our youngest son at the airport and stopped in on the trip home. I got the breakfast sushi. I had it my first time here and really like it. I also wanted the apple fritter pancakes so my husband was nice enough to order them so I could have both. The pancakes are delicious and I would recommend them. Happy we have leftovers of both for breakfast tomorrow. Glad they had fly fans for the tables so we had no problems. read more

Reliable brunch spot :) my favorite part is probably the ambiance of their outdoor seating. Feels like you're in a tree! lol. I've been a couple of times, and I'll say their egg breakfast dishes are average. Nothing amazing but no complaints. What I had for the first time though was their crispy pork belly with Gouda grits... OMG. I did feel my arteries being clogged by the dish but it was fabulous. Really makes me want to try more of their niche dishes. Their breakfast drinks/lattes are really good to me...but the coffee drinker I was with said their latte barely tasted like coffee but it was a yummy dessert just fyi. Also my chai flavor was good but it was almost room temperature when it arrived. read more

The drinks came quickly, food took a bit but must meant it was fresh! The rose latte was very nice and had good balance of coffee and rose flavor. Was looking forward to my first visit here. Service is far below average. At the hostess stand. We waited 5 minutes. The place looked empty. I thought they were closing up for the day. Food is average. The egg frittata was not fully cooked and they took it back. We waited 20 minutes, no one told us what was going on with the meal. The chili quillas eggs also average. Will not go back. Too many youngsters serving the guests and are more interested in chatting together in the back. read more
This place is super cute with lots of outdoor seats. Really good Bloody Mary and the food here is also really good. I got the breakfast sandwich and the bread was perfectly toasted and the flavor was super balanced. Would definitely come back and get this again. Only critique is that the food came out super slow. this place was okay. the menu looked amazing and promising. i got the pork belly grits and man candy. the grits was creamy and rich. the pork belly was a bit dry and not moist as i had hoped. the soy sauce egg had great texture but a bit on the saltier side. the man candy i will skip next time. didn't taste any papiri service was nice. the wait staff was great. the atmosphere was nice too. maybe i just ordered the wrong things. read more

Late review, was going through old food photos and was reminded that I didn't review this place! I do not typically order grits but somehow decided to order the crispy pork and grits dish. I was on vacation in the area, and this was right down the street from where I was staying. Very big surfer vibes, so SD. Great vibes, except I remember there were a few flies that just would not leave me alone. Still I remember these buttery savory grits were amazing! Definitely recommend the grits. The hibiscus lemonade was also delicious, and made for a great combo. read more

Surprising went around 10am and it wasn't jam packed. The food is good but I was disappointed with the coffee. When it first arrived there were the dregs from the bottom of the pot. I asked for a new cup and I'm pretty sure my waitress gave me the exact same cup... When the new cup arrived my companion said it looks like spices so maybe that's their blend, so I drank it. Surely enough by the end I knew it was just the bottom of the barrel. At the end the waitress asks if I would like a refill and I said no. She reminds me it's endless refills and I'm still saying no but my companion asked for a cup to go. No coffee bits in their cup... but they didn't like it and asked for me to bring it in to throw it away. Also, make it make sense they charge $3 for man candy on the standard breakfast but only .75 more on the sides cost... read more
