TURKADO

If you love avocado, the Turkado is a must try. The sourdough is delicious, but the real game changer is the Board & Brew sauce. Great service and plenty of room to sit inside, too!

Board & Brew in Pacific Beach is a must-stop sandwich spot. The Turkado is well, incredible, perfectly balanced, packed with flavor, and taken to the next level by their amazing sauce. Everything tastes fresh and well made, and the vibe fits PB perfectly. Grab your sandwich, eat, or eat and go for a walk near the beach afterward. It's the ideal combo. Easy, satisfying, and always hits the spot. One of my favs around the SD area for sure.

Bulgogi Beef Sandwhich

BOARD & BREW This one hits the spot every time it's a day at the beach! I love how convenient this place is, being right on Pacific Beach. I've been to this location numerous of times, and really enjoy their Turkey Club! It's pretty delicious, but the star of the show is their sauce! It's so flavorful, and I could go through 3 of them. My boyfriend got the Bulgogi Beef and it was super delicious! He said it was really flavorful, and I tried it and it was smoking hot! The only thing that lost a star for me was their service, they've never been welcoming, asks how anyone is doing, and looks super annoyed to take your order. The place itself is a bit dirty, the tables are sticky, and chairs has bits of lettuce or sauce on it. Parking can be a hassle, you have to find street parking however it is free! Highly recommend stopping by, would bring your food on the beach or somewhere!

Baja wrap without the tomato and onion

I've been coming to board and brew to specifically get the baja wrap for 10+ years! I've also brought people with me who have gotten other items on the menu and they always rave about it. I went last Saturday and it was busy, not a ton of seating inside but I think this place is great to grab and go and sit at the beach option since this location is right by it. There aren't a ton of places you can do this right by the beach in PB! I don't believe this location has any beer available. Which can be confusing given the name "Board and Brew" but I've been to other locations and they have had a separate bar inside with beer. Not this one. But there is a place right next door that serves beer. There is a parking lot behind the building that offers a free hour for B & B customers. You can find parking here during the week just fine, but not likely over the weekends. If you're looking for a great sandwich or wrap, I highly recommend Board and Brew.

We make sure to stop at Board and Brew whenever we come back to San Diego. The orange sauce really is as good as they say it is. We've tried recreating it, but it just isn't the same at home. The sandwiches can totally stand on their own but highly recommend getting extra sauce. We love getting sandwiches to go for the beach, and we've enjoyed the PB location's outdoor seating. Our regular orders are the Turkado and Veggie Sandwich.

Board and Brew is one of my favorite sandwich chains here in San Diego. Their sandwiches are healthy, filling, fresh, and simple! If you're in PB and looking for a bite before heading to the beach then I highly recommend coming here. You can also grab it to-go and watch the waves while enjoying a delicious sandwich. Can't imagine a better vibe than that! The service is also super friendly here as well. My go-to is the Turkado sandwich and their special sauce is to die for.

We stopped by on a road trip to grab a quick lunch in pacific beach. The parking was horrible, but once we found a spot the restaurant was not too crowded. We split two sandwiches - the turcado was the favorite, fresh sourdough bread and a large portion of turkey. They give you this sauce of the side that is incredible, can't wait to try more

We ordered a turkado and a kid's grilled cheese for take out. It was ready at the estimated time. The turkado was delicious! The sourdough bread was fresh and soft. The sandwich had a lot of ingredients and the flavor was great! The kid's grilled cheese is a large portion and was on the same sourdough bread. We enjoyed the sandwiches! Board and Brew has a handful of different sandwiches to choose from. They also make their own beer, which I have yet to try. Board and Brew is a great option for sandwiches!

One of my favorite things to order is the Spicy Turkey Melt sandwich. It's really flavorful and definitely worth trying if you're looking for something other than typical bar food. Their fries are also really good, especially when paired with the truffle sauce, which adds a lot of flavor. They also have a great selection of beers to choose from, so there's plenty of variety depending on what you're in the mood for. The restaurant itself is a good size, with a nice bar area and plenty of room to hang out with friends. Forgot to take a picture during my visit but they were piping hot, large wing that were sauced up beautifully. Staff is always friendly and the ambiance is a vibe. A classic tap room for sure. Beers are excellent and they even have ones that are rare to find like Cascade brewery (once the keg is empty it's gone forever, since Cascade closed). They note freshly tapped kegs which is nice too. 100% recommend. In fact I gotta go back for more wings soon.

But the hospitality is what made this place special to us from the beginning. For us, that started with Frank. He's since moved on to other CH Projects, but we still remember how welcome he made us feel. Our experience with him at Neighborhood was really the beginning of us falling in love with CH Projects as a whole. When I think about why we keep coming back, people like Frank are a huge part of that. And the food has stayed so consistently good. The Hood Burger, bone marrow, bolognese, burrata, pierogies, bloomin' onion... at this point, I'm practically listing the menu. In all the years we've been coming here, I honestly can't think of a bad dish we've had. It's one of our favorite places to work into a night out because we know we're going to eat well and enjoy being there. On our latest visit, Drew reminded me of exactly how we felt when we first came here and met Frank. He was so kind, patient, and hospitable, and he made our experience every bit as memorable. Years later, getting that same level of care means a lot. While we were waiting for our food, I also noticed some guests being unnecessarily rude to the staff, especially Drew. He kept his composure and stayed professional throughout it, even when people weren't giving him the same respect he was giving them. That made me appreciate him even more and want to take the time to give him the recognition he deserves. Drew, thank you for taking such good care of us. I hope the people you work with know how much of an impression you leave on guests. The food and atmosphere give us plenty of reasons to come back, and people like you and Frank are what make Neighborhood top tier. Five stars, without hesitation.

Everyone's food came out at around the same time, waitresses were attentive, proactive, and gave us lots of water refills. All while acting as busser for the other tables. I had the pork sisig rice bowl and had a few bites of their buffalo chicken and their loco moco. For reference, sisig consists of a meat (usually pork belly or various offal meats), chopped onions, citrus, vinegar, and a myriad of other herbs, spices, and seasonings. I thought it was decently good, especially the bottom bowl rice that just absorbed all the savory, tangy sauce. With the buffalo chicken fries, they were very generous with both the food portions and the sauces. We still have leftovers 2 nights later. Prices are on the high side compared to the rest of the neighborhood, I think my bowl came out to $20. They do have happy hours from 3:00pm to 6:00pm with appetizers as low as $6. I haven't had a opportunity to try, but those prices are definitely enticing. The inside is typical gastropub, a huge variety of beers on tap and TVs playing sports. Though it was very spacious and houses a (highly recommended) speakeasy, Realm of the 52 Remedies. They get personal bonus points from me out of convenience, they're just across the street. I'm a sucker for convenience and walkability, something not often seen around San Diego. Overall good experience. I don't drink, I've typically kept away from bar food. Convoy being what it was, I've shied away from typical American-style spots. Common Theory impressed me and I'll be back.
