Lovely afternoon for wine and scones
Wendy G.

This is a wonderful little winery with wines that pack a punch! We chose the unusual scone and wine pairing and we were not disappointed! The scones were moist, unique, and perfectly paired with the Dresser wines, from crisp chardonnay to bold Syrah. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and cheerful. They obviously love their jobs and the wines they are serving. The tasting area is a lovely patio next to the vineyard with sunny or shady options and a resident cat to add some attitude to the overall experience. Tasting is by appointment only, so be sure to give them a call or book online. The scone pairing requires payment at time of booking as the winery needs to order the scones ahead. Thumbs up to Dresser winery! I hope you give it a try.

What a gem!!!!! I was looking for dog friendly wineries and found this found and loved that they are known for their reds! I love reds and their wines did not disappoint. It's a beautiful serene winery and the owner was super nice and welcome and my pup had a blast too! I love their back story and how they incorporate their daughter's paintings for their labels but what stands out is the quality of wine!!! If you like reds, especially bold ones, you have to try them! Better yet, make it a stay as they also have a vacation rental!!! I picked up a bottle and will use needing more as my next reason to come back hopefully soon!

Beautiful property with excellent wines and great service. Dog friendly. We did the outdoors standard Under the Oaks tasting, $25 for 5 wines (1 white, 4 red). We got 3 bonus pours as well. The reds are bold flavor. Good size pours. Ended up buying 2 bottles to waive a tasting fee. Wines are not cheap at $50+, but their all very good and high quality. Highly recommend

We purchased a scone and wine tasting, which we had never experienced. It was amazing. Our server was helpful and informative. The owner/winemaker was also great. We enjoyed ourselves so much, that we not only purchased serveral bottles of wine, but we also joined the wine club. Can't wait to return! Thanks Dresser Winery for the great experience.

Bar and patio seating outside the tasting room.

Amazing! My husband I were looking for an intimate experience at a beautiful winery with good red wine and boy did we score. We bought tickets for a private tasting and loved every minute. The location is peaceful and the wine is outstanding. We bought a few bottles and truly enjoyed meeting the owners and staff. We plan to return on our next trip.

Entrance to Dresser Winery felt very welcoming!

Wine tasting along with scones is a great idea, and my niece, along with her dog, and I thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon at Dresser Winery in Paso Robles. I would highly recommend this experience!!! ...

This place was so chill, a very quiet intimate location for one on one wine tasting. Deliciously rich bold flavored wines.

Make a reservation! But if you don't, the owner Kory will still be an awesome host and welcome you in with open arms and some great wine! We pulled up to the closed gate, rang the call box, and were greeted with a little confusion, but told to come on down and taste! When we got to the tasting room we were greeted by Kory, the owner and winemaker. After inquiring how we heard about them, he let us know that they were pretty much a word of mouth operation, and due to its location on a private road the gate is just about always closed. After taking a seat, Kory pulled out some bottles and started pouring! We tasted through a menu that had been curated for some of the upcoming weekend's visitors. We tasted 5 wines from the bottle, but were also treated to some tastes from different barrels and even a wine that hadn't touched any oak yet. We had a really great time and enjoyed learning about how Dresser wines came to be, and what goes into the different wines that they make. Kory was really cool for letting us in and sharing the space with us. This was truly a one of a kind wine tasting experience! Aside from the wonderful hospitality, the wines were also great! I ended up getting a bottle of the Cab, and my boyfriend got two bottles of different zins and a red blend. Excited to drink them all again and come back sometime in the future. If you haven't already, take this as your word of mouth recommendation to make a reservation here the next time you find yourself in Paso!

Thank you Kory for a wonderful private tasting! I definitely recommend making a reservation for this hidden gem. Kory is passionate & fun as he explains the history of Gelfand winery as well as their wines. He made a personalized tasting menu for us of their wonderful bold reds & threw in some extra pours as well! We were able to sit in the air conditioned barrel room which was very comfortable. They also have areas to sit outside if preferred. A casual comfortable atmosphere.

Kid friendly!

It's 16,000 square feet of underground tunnels. As one of the few spots offering complimentary tastings to our complete surprise! This winery is a hidden gem. We loved the selection so much we had to pick up a few bottles for home! Overall Great wines, beautiful views & amazing service! Definitely going back!

Let me preface this with this - I rarely write reviews, and never have had to write a bad one…read moresadly. I believe sometimes companies have off days, and employees may have a bad day, which can affect one's experience, thus I dont let one bad experience ruin a company's review. But when it comes to my CHILD, you best believe i will never forgive and forget or let our experience be forgotten. We visited this winery expecting a relaxing, family-friendly experience and instead left with our daughter crying after being scratched in the face near her eye by the owner's off-leash dog. What makes this especially frustrating is that the winery's own rules state dogs must be leashed, yet the owners' dogs were roaming the property freely. Our daughter was calmly petting one of the dogs with me standing directly beside her when the dog suddenly growled and scratched her across the face. This was completely unprovoked and witnessed by the owner himself, who said absolutely nothing afterward. No apology, no concern, no accountability. An employee later approached us and said, "Sorry, he's old and maybe didn't like that she was the same height as him, which made him react".....which felt less like accountability and more like an absurd attempt to excuse why a reactive dog was allowed to roam off leash around guests and children. We also observed the dogs behaving territorially toward other leashed dogs on the property, making it even more inappropriate that they were allowed off leash in a public setting. My father-in-law is a VERY well known, well respected, and prominent winemaker in Virginia and across the United States, if you know anything about wine, you know him. So lets say, we understand winery culture and hospitality, fairly well. Had something like this happened on his property, it would have been handled immediately and professionally with genuine concern for the injured guest.....especially a child. Watching the owner casually continue on in his conversation with whomever, and pet the dog like nothing happened while our daughter screamed and cried was honestly unbelievable. In my opinion, not worth the visit for the subpar wine, if you want to take your children/dog somewhere. The poodles were friendly to me, and other adults, until we saw their behavior to other dogs & then my child....The complete lack of concern from ownership after a child was injured was shocking. Frankly, they are fortunate we chose not to escalate the situation further. Parents should absolutely be cautious visiting here with children or pets. An off-leash dog with territorial behavior has no place interacting freely with guests. Absolutely shocked and the owner should be ashamed of his actions & response (or lack there of) to the situation.

At Sculpterra…read more... They are in the business of turning water into wine....... One grape at a time!!! Yeah, I didn't believe it either, but then I saw a sign in their vineyard that proved me wrong. It read: "Water into Wine" And now, I'm a believer! So what brought us to this magical place you ask?? Well, besides the obvious (the wine).... It was the.... ok you caught me!! We came for the wine! Yeah, we were staying at the Ava Hotel in Paso for my wife's birthday weekend (definitely check this place out if you are looking for a beautiful spot to call home away from home) And being that we were in wine country.... We wanted a nice outdoor vineyard where our kids could be outside, run around, and get all of their energy out all while Mommy & Daddy had our own little R&R time sippin' on the good stuff. And let me tell you, it was Good Stuff! When we first arrived at Sculpterra, we already knew the place was going to be a hit as the parking lot was hoppin. And apparently we weren't the only ones that got the memo that this place was THE PLACE to be as it was just a little bit off the beaten trail from where we started out... Approximately 6 miles from "Downtown Paso" (through the city limits, down the 'ol country back roads and suddenly we were in wine country!) Prior to heading to the vineyard, we did a quick pit stop at McDonalds for the kids so they had something they liked. As for me and my wife, we opted to get some of the local fare items offered on site, cause what goes better with wine than a yummy charcuterie board? I'll answer that momentarily! But wait, theres more!!!! Upon finding a nice little table outdoors to sit and relax with our wine chilled in a bucket of ice, there was suddenly music to our ears and Love to my eyes! Yes, there was lovely Live Music being played by a band and out of the corner of my eye, I spotted a food truck serving Mexican Food from a local Mexican restaurant. Remember earlier when I said what goes better with wine than a charcuterie board? Well, if you guessed a little Mexican Food, then you are oh so right, but only in moderation! So in order not to ruin the good vibes of the beautiful vino from Sculpterra, I opted for just one taco and a cup of their poblano soup and man was it fire. The soup was piping hot and it had a kick of spice that made me spice from ear to ear. As far as the wine, the vineyards vibe and the entire aesthetic of the grounds, Sculpterra Winery & Sculpture Gardens (the vineyard was adorned with many abstract and contemporary pieces that are all photo worthy), this place checks all the boxes. The place is kid friendly as there is plenty of space, both indoors and out, with areas for the kids to throw a ball, run around, or even learn to play a g as a game of chess. A decent variety of Reds, Whites, & Blends are all up for grabs, so if you find yourself in Paso Robles with the fam or its just you and your hunny, definitely come check this place out and watch the miracle of them turning water into wine!

We had the burger, which... Was divine. Brioche bun, caramelized, onions, red wine bacon jam and an aïoli. That burger came with fries, which we also split, but both agreed they were the best french fries we've ever had. I do not know how they got them so crisp they were delicious. The views are great. The patio had a nice view of the rolling hills and we could see goats running across them in the distance. The tasting consisted of 4 wines, and we also got a bonus pour. Our host was friendly and knowledgeable, and I really enjoyed the wine selection, especially the "Messer" red. We also ordered lunch, and both my Harvest Salad and Parmesan Fries were very tasty.
