Dude, this place is a hidden gem in Tacoma! If you want to date night spot go here, do you wanna take your kids and have some fun go here, you and your brothers want to share an ice cream go here! The service is great, the ice cream is cold and the whole place is a cool vibe!

Black licorice ice cream and root beer float. Not seen, my son's birthday cake flavored milkshake.

Went there yesterday, 5/3/25, and so glad we did. My wife loves black licorice ice cream. They didn't have any out, but one of the staff checked the back and found some. He made my wife's week! The quality is very good and we will definitely be back even if they don't have black licorice. Highly recommend this place!

My husband and I love this place and the owners are so nice ! There is so much to choose from , so if youre lost try the ice cream nachos . The ice cream is fresh and creamy, they make the waffle cones in house, and they have this chocolate syrup that is to die for! They also have a rewards system where you could earn discounts and free stuff !

Rocky road child's scoop in a waffle bowl

We found this quiet ice cream parlor in Tacoma about a 2min drive from the Kaiser hospital. It is locally owned and the owner of the shop served us this day. He was very friendly and accommodating to our flavor preferences. He mixed a few flavors to make our peach, strawberry, banana smoothie that was so refreshing. We also got a waffle cone with a scoop of rocky road and a cake cone with rocky road. The ice cream was creamy and had large slivers of almond rather than small chips. There were several small tables for seating on the inside. They are right off of Sprague Ave. located in the shopping center behind Walgreens. There is plenty of parking directly in front of the shop.

Generous portion of butter pecan in a waffle cone.

Generous portions, unfortunately, you probably don't want generous portions of it. I got the butter pecan (I'm not sure which brand it was), but it was not creamy, its icey, and not very flavorful. They make their own waffle cones so we upgraded for that, unfortunately they don't taste very good. I don't know if they taste good when they're fresh, But I feel like my son nailed the flavor profile when he said that it tasted rancid. Not something I wanted to eat. Which is sad because its usually my favorite part. I needed to review this place because all these reviews are good, and we went there based on that. So it was super disappointing. I want people to have a more realistic expectation. My son got mango pineapple, it tasted like old frozen syrup. My daughter got bubble gum and cotton candy. The bubble gum was really good, but the cotton candy was sweet frozen ice. $20+ for ice ice (no cream) that was all destined for the trash can. We all regretted the decision to try something new and trust these reviews.

It's getting to be that time of year again. Enjoyed a cone without the heavy traffic. Nice to live close by and get what I want.

There were three of us dining in together today and we decided to order the Garlic Parmesan Fries to share! These were absolutely delicious and served on such a large platter. Perfect item to share. I ordered the Cookie Butter Chai Latte and Split Decision Sampler (pearl sugar and southern waffle, two eggs and choice of bacon or pork sausage). My boyfriend ordered the Bergamot London Fog. I didn't take a picture of the food he ordered, but it was one of the specialty eggs entrees. I was a little underwhelmed by my entree choice, however it was still good. I didn't want to be too stuffed, so it was a good choice overall. The service was great. Super friendly and energetic staff working, which made it a great experience. Fun restaurant and would go again with no hesitation.

It was the fluffiest inside with a nice crisp outside. They had a salsa between the waffle and chorizo, amazing. 10/10. My friends also enjoyed their food. I'm not sure what they put in the food here, but it's addictive. The food is extremely flavorful and filling. I typically eat half of the sandwich for breakfast and the second half for lunch and am still full for the majority of the day. It was seriously that good and absolutely deserves to be mentioned. We finished with a cappuccino, and I added a little honey drizzle and raw sugar on top. Everything felt thoughtful, well prepared, and worth coming back for. Service Our server was so kind and welcoming. We had a couple of moments where we saw dishes being brought to other tables and asked, "Wait, what was that?" and they were more than happy to answer our questions and tell us about everything. Very friendly, attentive service without feeling overbearing. Atmosphere The inside has such a relaxed, vintage bistro feel that makes it really easy to sit back and enjoy brunch. There's also outdoor seating with heaters and a tented area, so they're definitely prepared for Washington weather. I only wish it hadn't been so foggy when we went because the view would have made the experience even better. We were sat by a window where a heater fireplace was, still a best of both worlds when seated inside. Definitely make a reservation before you go, this is the kind of place I can see filling up quickly.

There are heaters on the back porch so although It was rainy It wasn't too chilly. There are blankets on the back of each chair but however, not sure what the cleaning protocols are for the blankets. The specials are not on the menu so everything is word of mouth. The quiche of the day was not described as having a balsamic drizzle included and is not made fresh, but instead at least the day before? The mocktail is $14. This was a disappointing $50 brunch and I was still hungry.

By the time we got our drinks, the place had filled up. There is very little sound dampening here, so the sounds of every conversation echoed through the dining area and made it very hard for those at my table to hear each other. Our table was also disturbingly wobbly, which made the meal feel precarious. The food was excellent. The mocha was large and delicious, and my chorizo breakfast pizza offered a fun new taste for me. The biscuit meals were better than what we expected - in fact, we wouldn't even call them "biscuits." The food also kept well when frozen, so Art House may be better experienced as Takeout.

There was only one server and it took several minutes before we were seated, which was near the front door on a wobbly, sticky table. People started coming in and were being seated at booths. The waitress was honest and said 2pm (it was already past 4pm) so I passed and just ordered a sweet tea which was good. I ordered the country fried steak (my usual at the Puyallup location), but I was unhappy with it. When I tried to cut it, the breading came off and showed this dark, jerky like piece of meat. It wasn't edible so I sent it back. We will continue to support the Tim's kitchen in Puyallup. Although the Tacoma location has good ambiance, the server and cook let us down.
