Typically get the jalapeño sausage breakfast sandwich. The bread is super soft, the sausage has a nice flavor, and there isn't too much egg. It also come served warm which makes it yummy. I always pass by this shop, so today I finally decided to come in and give it a proper try. Ambiance: It's definitely very inviting. The floral arrangements and product displays were clearly designed with great care. All the items are wrapped in plastic wrap to keep them fresh. The shop is quite spacious, and the interesting paintings on the walls really leave an impression. All of this plays a huge role in building up their customer base. Service: The signage inside is clear, and everyone lines up in an orderly way. The staff is warm and welcoming, and they even asked if I wanted my bread warmed up. The order came out very fast--overall, a great service experience. Taste: I ordered two pastries: an almond croissant and a chocolate croissant. The almond croissant was packed with ingredients, with a thick, rich layer of processed almond filling in the middle. The texture was great--highly recommended! However, the chocolate croissant was a total disaster!!! My first bite was actually satisfying; the chocolate flavor and texture were rich. But on my second bite, I realized... it was underbaked. We stopped for coffee and a quick breakfast before heading into Seattle for the day. We both ordered a latte which was delicious! My husband ordered her breakfast burrito and I got a piece of the monkey bread for us to share. The breakfast burrito was so good and totally hit the spot. The monkey bread was a little sweet for my liking that early in the morning. The service was really good and the location was adorable. My only complaint was that they don't open until later in the morning but really that's just because we're early risers. read more

A coworker had recommended this place, and I decided to go along with him during breakfast hours. We luckily got here when it was not busy, as he has told me that it can get quite busy here. The service was pretty quick. Ambiance was appealing with many baked items and a very nice aroma that got my Ghrelin levels going! They have many different savory and sweet options. I ordered one of their breakfast sandwiches which came with sausage, muffin, and eggs. OH MY GOD. This was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have tried in a while. Absolutely amazing. I am lucky that I don't live right by this place, otherwise I would spend all of my money here. I also got a sausage quiche which was not bad, but I wish I had tried some of their croissants. The croissants were placed around the corner of where I ordered, so I had not seen them. Had I seen the croissants, I would have ordered them and devoured them. I stopped by Corina today for a quick bite to eat before seeing a movie at the Grand Theater next door. The Chicken Pesto Sandwich was very good. In fact, every thing I've tried here has been excellent. I also tried the big salted chocolate chip cookie which ha a generous amount of chocolate chips in it. It was, as I expected, excellent. We also enjoyed some wonderful quiche and my friend had some coffee which she said was the best she's ever had. The staff is friendly and helpful with suggestions too. I'm looking forward to returning and trying more goodies soon. There is a comfortable nice place place to enjoy those trats too with seating outside for those nice days. On top of the obvious - incredible bakery- I was pleasantly surprised by the selection of teas offered along with gf/df options. A friend I like to go with has a corn sensitivity and everyone behind the counter has always seemed very knowledgeable as to which items will be safe for my friend. Very appreciated and allows my friend to branch out a bit with her selections. The store is a bit drafty in the winter months, so bring a jacket. read more

I was headed to a family get together and was driving through Tacoma looking for an amazing bakery. What I found via yelp was the Karina bakery, and I routed there through Waze finding a parking up the hill and across the street as there didn't seem to be a lot of parking close to the bakery itself. I went in and was immediately pleased at the ambience, as I waited in line, trying to look at the different options and prepare my order. It was great to see some of the fine pastries and cake cakes, and the people next to me in line were giddy about what they were going to choose. I picked a nice cake and a couple of other small things and was on my way in no time the prices seemed reasonable. If you've never been here you basically haven't lived life. The best chocolate chip cookie I've ever tasted, puts crumble cookies to shame. The croissants are all wildly delicious. The cake makes your eyes widen. The kind of foods you put in your mouth and it's hard to describe in words how good the thing your tasting is. I heard a lot about this bakery from a friend, but I don't see what she sees. I ordered the sausage quiche and a gluten-free chocolate cake with strawberry frosting. The quiche didn't have a whole lot of flavor probably because there wasn't a lot of sausage in it. As for the chocolate cake, it wasn't half bad considering it was gluten-free. We stayed at the Silver Cloud Hotel in Ruston & they had cookies from this bakery in their little convenient store. Tasted so good we had to go to the source the this morning!! Literally will never be going back here. First of all everything is way too overpriced. I wanted to go here for my wedding cake and Yasmine was the worst person to work with. She ruined the cake tasting and experience. She kept asking me questions like I knew about cakes. She was like "what piping do you want?" And when I asked her she was like "you don't know what piping is?". We were trying cakes and she was rushing us the whole time and kept being like "are you ready?" Idk MAYBE HELP US! Have been here a couple of times and everything I tried was incredible. It was everything I imagined an actual bakery looked like: variety of products and absolutely delicious. I loved the frosting on the cinnamon roll - it had some orange zest mixed in and really provided a flavor boost. Also, the apple fritter / muffin was incredible!!! First stop after arriving at SEA this morning! The bakery is bright and clean and smells of all the delicious tasty treats. I wanted to order one of everything! They have sweet and savory muffins, burritos, croissants, and more. The blueberry muffin starts with an amazing hit of cinnamon and nutmeg. The orange and chocolate muffin is a little more moist, and absolutely delicious. We also had hot Matcha with oat milk, and an iced mocha latte. All of the staff were moving quickly to take care of all the customers, and still smiling and friendly. Best Carmel Macchiatos! The milk is so silky smooth and the carmel taste is there til the last sip. These macchiatos are made so well I come back time and time again. They are consistent here always made well. I am gluten free so I order a sausage egg and herb and cheese biscuit breakfast sandwich too. Yum. Sorry, I was looking forward to visiting this bakery and maybe my expectations were too high, but it was not good. My daughter got the "dirt (chocolate) pudding" and banana bread, I got the red velvet cake, and all were a disappointment. The banana bread was dry, "dirt cup" tasted like medicine? I ordered 2 days ahead for a coworker who isn't able to eat gluten and dairy and she really enjoyed these! $31 may be expensive to some for 6 cupcakes but certainly reasonable considering this being a custom order, along with their labor and dietary accommodations. Their baked goods are so good! I've had their cakes at different functions and events. So since then, I'll grab a slice or two to take home after meeting friends at Corina. It's a little pricey compared to the cakes from the grocery stores. BUT SO WORTH IT! My friend recommended Jalepeno cheese scone... and wow wow wow!! It's so yummy. Great balance of bread, meat, egg, and cheese. Mostly savory but you taste a little bit of sweetness come through from the scone. I don't care so much for their coffee, it's a bit mediocre in my opinion. And seating can be rough since it's limited. read more

Great spot. I cant believe this is my first time visiting and i never did when i actually lived in Tacoma! I prefer the car and rabbit cake shop on 6th ave but they are closed mon and tues so i looked on yelp for another bakery, one with gf options for my mom. One of the best things about this place is a good amount of gf options and several vegan ones. Im all about inclusion and want all my friends and fam to enjoy the goods with me! I loved how many options they have and got a few cake balls, a couple day old croissants (chocolate and almond), a piece of red velvet cake for myself and a piece of the rainbow vanilla cake for my friends bday. My mom got. NFB ball or something like that and she really enjoyed it. So far ive only tried the red velvet. They serve nice big pieces. I wanted it to be a little more moist. The frosting was really good, cream cheese, the only way one should eat red velvet. Also, i know this is silly, but i wish it was more red. I know red food dye is bad for you, but it was a dark red almost brown and just didnt feel right. Service is the only category left that is up for debate. The workers in the kitchen decided they were too hot and propped open the front door to cool off at the expense of their clientele being too cold. I inquired as to why the door was propped open and that was the attitude I got back.. I have never been impressed by the attitude of the staff in general and now, even less so. It was approximately 45 degrees outside, and a warm cup of cocoa or coffee and muffin hits the spot.
