I came here to work for a couple hours and it was a great spot! The coffee was delicious, they made a nice flat white. Lots of tables and cute seating. Staff were super friendly.

12 oz Chai & veggie bfast burrito. Burrito was sooooooo good. Great flavors & cooked perfectly, just a kick of spice.

I love this sweet little coffee shop. Employees are always incredibly nice and make some excellent beverages.. the vibe in here is mellow and during the morning and afternoon there are lot of people here working solo. Fairly quiet place. Delicious roasted coffee beans.

This place is very cute, well priced, and the staff is super friendly. No wonder every seat in the cafe was taken on this beautiful Saturday morning! My wife and I had a vanilla latte, which was great, and a dirty chai. I didn't clarify whether the chai was spiced or not before ordering it, which was totally my mistake. It ended up being spiced chai, which I'm not such a fan of. This is not to say you might not like it, just not my fave. I plan to return and try a different drink because like I said, everything else about this place (other than the chai) seems awesome.

Cute neighborhood coffee shop in T-Town off N 21st Street. Street parking available. I visited a hair salon off the same street. During my wait time. I decided to walk around and noticed the coffee shop in the corner of a building. I decided to check it out to grab a hot drink as it was a cold day. First impression, it's a pretty good size. Nice furniture and minimalistic decor. There's a comfy sofa to relax on. The ambiance is nice and felt very comfortable. My visit here was year Jan 2020 pre-pandemic time. I ordered the chai tea $3.60 and almond croissant (don't recall the price). They both were delicious. I forgot to take a picture of the croissant (was a little hungry LOL!) Overall great first experience. I would return when back in/near location.

Stopped by lander today and WOW what an amazing experience! We ordered an espresso tonic which was a 10! The place itself was beautiful, open, lots of seating and very clean! The barista who served us was kind and hilarious!! I don't think I ever came into a coffee shop and laughed like I did today! (It was the guy with the mustache) Would highly recommend this place!

When I need to escape the hustle and bustle of Seattle coffee shops I come here to relax. I went here countless times while living in Tacoma and I never had a bad experience. The staff is consistently friendly, the coffee is solid, and there are some tasty food options. They're a micro-roaster so they offer some retail in-house roasts that range from $16-$21 for 12oz (love to see affordable quality coffee). This time around I ordered their Los Dos Socios Guatemala on espresso which was very well balanced and the sausage egg breakfast sandwich which was neither dry nor bland. The seating options were mostly full since people have gone back to school and need a place to study, and even though there are a ton of seats I wish there were more comfy couches to relax on. Overall, I highly recommend this spot if ur craving good coffee, good food, or just need a place to get some work done.

    Macchiato

This coffee shop is excellent for your macchiato fix. Slightly less bitter style/coffee than other legitimate coffee shops, but what the drink lacks in espresso punch it makes up for with complex smooth flavor. Nutty chocolaty flavors in their espresso. (Perhaps they could go a little lighter on the milk) What pushed this over the top to 5 stars is the friendly barista, $1 cheaper than other hipster joints, more than just pastries available , AND sparkling water for your macchiato that is actually carbonated, and not from last Monday's jug. If you're looking for espresso with all the bells and whistles, this is your place.

    Oat latte

This is one of my favorite coffee shops in Tacoma. Great coffee, kind community and cozy ambiance. It's a great place to meet a friend or to get some work done.

Nice place! Loved the decor. Beverages and food were all good. Staff wasn't super friendly when we ordered but they got better when we met them with kindness.

The employees here are really nice, and the coffee beans are some of the most vibrant and packed with flavor (my preference) due to the experimental techniques used and their careful sourcing. I had been seeing some NA cocktails on my social media feed and saw that Soulberry Coffee House stocks them. Figured it is better to try them one by one rather than committing to a subscription order online. They have great coffee and pastries, from what I tried. I got a muffin, donut, and turnover and the latte of the month. Looks like their specialty is coffee and mocktails. I believe they roast their own coffee. They have a pretty good size mocktail menu. They sell packaged NA RTDs, as well as alcohol free/removed wines and spirits, bitters, syrups, elderberry syrup, fired cider, honey, teas and more. The folks at the counter were friendly and welcoming. They also had some alcohol free/removed wines out for complimentary tasting. The one I tried was surprisingly delicious. It appears they have some sort of loyalty program at checkout, but I am unsure of the details. I forgot to ask about military discount. I would definitely come back.

Incredible roasts, great pourover, friendly staff, what's not to love?…read more Most recent visit to Outer Dark I got my first anaerobic pourover: the pink bourbon, very sweet and vivid. It was a very nice smooth cup, an excellent introduction to anaerobics, which I'd never tried before. I also got a couple different bags to take home. The In Bloom, which is the spring seasonal, impressed me by its consistency across multiple years, which is not always achievable in a seasonal. The subtle effervescent quality, the jasmine and honeysuckle, are just what I remember from last year. But the real reason I am writing this review is the Vivanco anaerobic, which I am drinking right now. I've done it as a v60 pourover (4:6, coffee nerds, with emphasis on the first two pours) and I think this is the best cup I've ever had. First, the aroma is *so cocoa nib adjacent* that if you blindfolded me I could have been convinced I was making brewing cocoa. And the first sip *tastes like* brewing cocoa, but then intense juicy cherry and orange zest come out, and then as it cools further I get the warm baked-good brownie notes. This coffee just goes *so well with itself*. Do yourself a favor and pick up a bag. Before I buy it all.

Being on STW (that is short for South Tacoma Way), I think this location has huge potential for attracting non-locals compared to their 6th Ave location (already established local reputation with regulars), hopefully they staff up to create more flexibility because a lot of times they're backed up on orders especially early mornings due to several crowd rolling in from Howdy Bagel across the street, they're also a bit stoic when it comes to simple greetings. Cortado is one of my favorite coffee drinks but I will not order from this location, today I ordered it with almond milk (which, for cortado of less than 4oz, the portion of milk is not very much but I paid a kidney for it, its my fault) it was $6.07. The barista did provide a tip for next time if I'm looking for a more fuller 8oz drink, I can go for a Flat White.
