Neat little coffee shop. Street parking wasn't a problem. It's a walk in coffee shop only. I'm glad it was because I saw the coolest coffee roasting machine ever. It would have been even cooler to see it running but I wasn't postive if it was a working machine or not. Coffee stated outstanding oatmilk mochas which was why it drew me in during our stop in Tacoma. Coffee tasted great and the guys in there were really friendly. Customers were chill.

This is an amazing coffee shop! Besides the cool vibe, you have a team that really knows their coffee! We ordered and had some great conversations with the regulars while we waited for our brews. They made me a drink with vanilla and honey. It was delicious! My only regret is that I couldn't get a bigger cup full of that magic! Great coffee, great people!!!

Amazing coffee. Every cup is treated with care. They have the best roaster and their baristas are top notch. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Their espresso blend is easy to make a perfect cup in my home setup. Would recommend.

Best coffee in Tacoma, super friendly staff! Chill atmosphere. We love using their beans at home.

I love this place! I've been living in tacoma for about a year but never discovered this gem until now. The quality of this coffee is amazing, smooth, not sweet, it's just good ol' coffee. This is definitely my new favorite place to go. I appreciate that they don't have any crazy sweet drinks, just plain simple delicious coffee! So glad I discovered this place but now I can't stop going haha

Small hole in the wall type of coffee place with fantastic coffee and very nice people helping take our orders. Espresso pulls are balanced, a few alternate milk choices and quick service. They have all their beans available in drip coffee. When picking a roast to take home, they showed their beans and gently shook the container filling the area with coffee aromatics. It's easy to see those roasting their coffee have experience, the Sumatra was evenly roasted to an appropriate amount of depth and darkness.

Coffee snob here- Valhalla Coffee is legit!! Great, fresh, smooth, not bitter, fantastic coffee. I tried a curtado and my husband had a mocha, both were fantastic. The mocha wasn't overly sweet and I loved that. This is a must try if in the area.

Honey latte - w hemp milk. 11/10 latte. Best I've ever tasted!

    Is there a decaf option?

    Yes!

I'm tasting a difference in the soy milk from two weeks ago when we got your soy latte? Did your company swap it out with a difference flavor? I remember asking what you guys used a while back and saw a banana smoothie soy.

The employees here are really nice, and the coffee beans are some of the most vibrant and packed with flavor (my preference) due to the experimental techniques used and their careful sourcing. The espresso drinks include classics, but also a lot of cool twists and syrups too. Pastries are excellent. The goat cheese chimichurri was so good and savory, and vibrant herbs and spices. It is located only a 5-minute drive from the car museum. We got yummy Smashburgers (comes with chips) and fries at Canteen by Camp Colvos. For drinks, we got a couple of sodas at Canteen, a Willie Maize Hazy IPA on tap at the 7 Seas bar, and I tried a refreshing Lavender Patch (16 oz iced sparkling espresso with lavender syrup and yuzu lemonade) at Naomi Joe Coffee. They have some pinball machines, free water at the back, and a party room you can rent. As with most breweries, it is family-friendly. I love the laid-back and friendly atmosphere of this place. They sell cool merch and have a neat display in honor of the historic Heidelberg Brewing Company of Tacoma that dates back to 1912.

I had been seeing some NA cocktails on my social media feed and saw that Soulberry Coffee House stocks them. Figured it is better to try them one by one rather than committing to a subscription order online. They have great coffee and pastries, from what I tried. I got a muffin, donut, and turnover and the latte of the month. Looks like their specialty is coffee and mocktails. I believe they roast their own coffee. They have a pretty good size mocktail menu. They sell packaged NA RTDs, as well as alcohol free/removed wines and spirits, bitters, syrups, elderberry syrup, fired cider, honey, teas and more. The folks at the counter were friendly and welcoming. They also had some alcohol free/removed wines out for complimentary tasting. The one I tried was surprisingly delicious. It appears they have some sort of loyalty program at checkout, but I am unsure of the details. I forgot to ask about military discount. I would definitely come back.

Incredible roasts, great pourover, friendly staff, what's not to love?…read more Most recent visit to Outer Dark I got my first anaerobic pourover: the pink bourbon, very sweet and vivid. It was a very nice smooth cup, an excellent introduction to anaerobics, which I'd never tried before. I also got a couple different bags to take home. The In Bloom, which is the spring seasonal, impressed me by its consistency across multiple years, which is not always achievable in a seasonal. The subtle effervescent quality, the jasmine and honeysuckle, are just what I remember from last year. But the real reason I am writing this review is the Vivanco anaerobic, which I am drinking right now. I've done it as a v60 pourover (4:6, coffee nerds, with emphasis on the first two pours) and I think this is the best cup I've ever had. First, the aroma is *so cocoa nib adjacent* that if you blindfolded me I could have been convinced I was making brewing cocoa. And the first sip *tastes like* brewing cocoa, but then intense juicy cherry and orange zest come out, and then as it cools further I get the warm baked-good brownie notes. This coffee just goes *so well with itself*. Do yourself a favor and pick up a bag. Before I buy it all.
