I love this place! First, the breakfast sandwiches aren't the ones in a bag a lot of coffee places throw in the microwave that always turn out bad, they're panini pressed and the sausage and egg is so yummy. They have great coffee, and I always get a lotus (which over half of the girls remember my order, and sometimes have it ready by the time I get up to the window. I've even had them bring it out to my car while waiting in line before!) They are all sweet. Two cons: 1) the parking lot is not ideal. It's a busy place, and depending on the time you go there's a line of four on each side and it gets hectic with the lack of space. 2) they're stamping system gives you something like six dollars off of a drink rather than a free one (I think you can also use it for a car wash, which is cool) but I'd prefer a whole drink! read more

I've heard a lot of good things about Classic Coffee, both coffee and food options. I always pass by on my way to work and decided to stop by and give them a try as I was in need of caffeine for a long shift ahead. I pulled up and looked over their menu display that is posted outside and drove up to the window. The girl working was extremely friendly and happy to answer my questions about what was in the drink. She explained the Hazelwood Hug consisted of hazelnut, dark and white chocolate - which sounded amazing. I asked what cold foam would go good on top and she recommended hazelnut. The drink was great! I was worried it would be overly sweet but it really wasn't. I was feeling a letting light headed after my lab visit yesterday morning so I decided to stop by classic coffee and grab something to eat. I decided to get an iced white mocha and a breakfast burrito. They offer vegetarian and bacon, egg and cheese. I opted for the bacon burrito. The baristas were super friendly and had my coffee ready very quick. It was perfect. Not overly sweet and the coffee tasted great. The burrito was pressed and tasted great. Warm inside and crispy on the outside. I was very happy and feeling better to get back on the road. I'll be visiting them again next time I'm in the area. read more

I love coffee and always try new places when traveling. This little stand was close to my Airbnb and had amazing coffee. Got there pretty early every morning and had excellent service. Coffee was fine. The wait is long and good luck trying to maneuver your vehicle in the lot. Also, they may want to update their website that states Friday through Sunday they offer donuts from Lakewood's Original House of Donuts. I asked if they had donuts and the barista said no. This is a busy street and this is a busy coffee stand--they've got a perfect spot and they make the most of it. I can't comment on the snacks, just the coffee. The menu is extensive--virtually every kind of coffee you'd expect must be on this list. I had an Americano; 20 ounces for 3 bucks after tax. I nursed that thing for over an hour, and it tasted good throughout, staying nice and warm. I wouldn't say it was the most intensely flavorful coffee I've had, just a basic roasty profile, but it was very tasty. The staff here are the usual adorable friendly cute young girls. I am in town from LA visiting my family for a week and I have become a regular here for my morning pick me up ( and to warm up bc it is effing freezing here!). This place is UH MAZING! DRINKS: the decaf, soy, white chocolate mocha is my thing! Unlike the white mocha at Starbucks, this one is SO creamy and savory. My sister loves this place bc it offers like two dozen sugar free flavors INCLUDING sugar free chai! Her favorite right now is the sugar free almond. They also have fruit smoothies, ice cream milkshakes, and italian sodas. FOOD: Being vegetarian I had the veggie omlett bfast sandwich which has egg, cheese, mushrooms, bell peppers and onions on an english muffin for $3. It was SOO nice to have a veg option on the go that was tasty, nutritous and reasonably priced. They have all the normal baked goods that you would expect-scones, muffins, and cookies. For lunch they have sandwiches and bagel dogs (gross bc I am vegetarian...but if thats your idea of a good time...). SERVICE: The baristas are SO friendly. After my first time there , Lilia (if I remember correctly) remembered my drink! They are fast, friendly and accurate! It is a drive thru stand so no bathroom. PERKS: After you purchase 9 drinks, either the 10th is free OR you can get a free carwash ($7 value). The best thing...they will file your card for you so you do not need to keep track of it. Not a bad little drive thru coffee hut. The times that I have been here service has been friendly and prompt. I liked the mocha's and chai's here. I got the Spiced Chai and it was good but there was a fairly thick residue of powder on the bottom. Maybe that is what a spiced chai is supposed to be but I am more accustomed to the liquid chai mixes that other places use and that I use at home. Still it had a good flavor to it. I got their waffle here for a sweet snack and that tasted very good! It got plenty of TLC during it's creation and had a great cinnamon taste to it! read more

Well the coffee was ok, nothing special. My low rating is for the dark hair girl that waited on us. She was wearing what we thought was a tube top, but her hair was covering the one thin shoulder strap and so much make up. Ok, so if that's her normal, fine, not the issue until you combine those with the fact that she leaned on the counter in a very provocative manner towards my husband. My husband thought she was asking for money to pay, so he handed her a $10 dollar bill. She took it, then came back to the window to tell him they were only accepting credit cards, but did not offer to return the $10...so our impression was she thought the ten bucks was her tip for a $4 bill. She clearly was flaunting herself in hope of a bigger tip. We will pass next time if this is acceptable to this establishment. read more

This is the BEST Espresso stand in Tacoma. I have been going to this stand since it was first built. The Girls are so amazing and cheerful. I drive all the way across town specifically to get my morning Mocha here, passing at least five or six other stands. The service is always fast and friendly. Prices are extremely reasonable and they have a prepay system that works great for me. I have truly enjoyed the years of service this establishment has given me and I will continue to remain a loyal customer. I am all for keeping the small businesses in business. Giants like Starbucks and Tullys dont really deserve my money. read more

4 stars for service - 3 stars for quality - 2 stars for consistency, and 1 star for location. The service is FANTASTIC. I think that their coffee is served lukewarm, I don't always remember to ask them to turn the heat up a little bit, and sometimes when I ask for it to be just a little warmer, they burn it. I'm a coffee fanatic, and I know that coffee should be served at 155-175 degrees F, my average cup of coffee here has been 127-132 F, only a few times has it been above 140F and the heat does not hold well, it gets cold fast. The coffee flavor is good for a coffee stand, it's definitely one the of the better stands in town. Their specialty drinks can be a sugar overload sometimes, depending on who makes your drink. I think that is one of my biggest hold-ups about this place is it's lack of consistency, it can really be hit and miss. Because they serve food it can take a while to get through the line, and it's a pain to get in and out of this place. read more

I almost always have a great experience here, but unfortunately I'm only able to give 4 stars because of the awful experience I just had. I understand that the stand was busy, but when the barista made my drinks with regular milk instead of almond like I had asked, I asked her to remake them. She made me feel like an ass immediately and then proceeded to make me a completely different drink than I asked for.. tried to get 2 quad shot iced almond milk lattes and instead got a caramel mocha almond/hemp latte with only 2 shots. The line was long and since she was being so rude I just decided to leave. My girlfriend tasted the drinks (which were gross) when I got home and was not having it so she drove back and had the girl remake them but unfortunately she also had a bad experience with the barista. The barista made her feel like and ass and put all of the blame on me. I've managed an espresso stand before and I understand how the car wash might make it hard to hear the order, but why would you not just repeat the order back to me or ask me to repeat It? I hate leaving reviews like this and literally every other barista that works there makes me love going there - but now I'm going to consider other places just to avoid running into her again :( Customer Service 101: don't be rude, especially when the customer is trying really hard to be kind and respectful. Edit: The owner and a manager (Amber) reached out to me and made me feel so much more comfortable about everything. Not only were they very understanding and apologetic but I truly believe that they really care about every single person to come through here. If you ever have a bad experience here just know that if you vocalize it they will make absolutely sure that you are taken care of in the best way possible and will leave you positive that you're going to keep coming back. Great independent coffee place . They have some of their own signature drinks as well as the standards. The ladies are always friendly and know how to make coffee. I would say I frequently come to this location for coffee more than any other place, the baristas are friendly and engaging, my favorite is the hug, I was just there on December 1st, 10 min. before closing, I was told that the espresso machine was being cleaned or something to that, but I couldn't get a hot espresso drink because of that, I definitely didn't want a cold drink I was somewhat disappointed. I found it odd to have a business with 10 min. to closing and I couldn't get what I came for, it was like she was focusing on getting out of there verses doing business. read more
