The 2 teens behind the counter were ignoring patrons except to collect payment. This location is dirty, the tables were sticky. Great lil munchies shop. Perfect for after dinner. Especially if you just had dinner in one of the neighboring restaurants. Great experience all around. Variety of flavors are good and they switch it up a lot. My ONLY complaint is the vegan options. It's usually just 3 and for some reason...pineapple is always there. But it's ok because it still tastes good. Yesterday they had a vegan oatmeal cookie. It looked better than it tasted. Staff are always friendly and ask you how many tasting cups you want. I like that. Don't only give me one, ask me how many and give the opportunity to sample the YUMMIES. Ok. So you noticed I don't load mine up. Lol. A looooong time ago I went to a store where someone was selling "invisible meat sauce". I wondered what it was and he tells me that everyone uses A1 sauce on meat. So when you eat it...all you taste is A1 and not the meat. Blew me away. So....I wanted to just taste the fro yo. Mmmmmmmm peanut butter. And mmmmmm original tart. This was my first time at Menchie's, but not at frozen yogurt places like it. I actually prefer it to places like Pink Berry or Yogurtland where either the yogurt is too tart or it doesn't look all that clean. The tasting cups where on a tray - super easy to get to and in my opinion you don't need to be told how to full up a cup of the frozen yogurt you want - and the cups next to all the flavors. I love that each flavor has allergic and dietary info above it...perfect for people with any sort of restrictions or preferences. We got pumpkin + peanut butter, hazelnut + black cherry, and peanut butter + hazelnut and they all tasted very good! I really liked how the toppings were set up too, away from the yogurt to give that side space and with clear labels even kids can recognize easily. Can't wait to go back. :) read more

I like Froyo a a lot, and I mean A LOT. So when I got the opportunity to head up to Bonney Lake to try out this new Froyo place called Menchies, I decided to go for the heck of it. Before I move on, I want all you readers to now that I am a regular at Elements Frozen Yogurt in downtown Puyallup and that is my really one of my fav places in the State. PROS: 1) Cool, chilled out vibe I was getting :) Pretty cool atmosphere! 2) Service was superb! The women behind the counter were super kind and courteous especially with our younger kids. 3) They got that cool chalkboard for kids to write on after their done :) 4) It's extraordinarily clean. CONS: 1) It's really small! Like, almost too small for the whole 10 people that were in there. 2) They had some really unique flavors (which is great!), but they lacked some of the necessities like Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, etc. Definitely add some of those before you add something like "strawberry-lime lemonade". 3) The Carmel was nasty! It was too hot and just was disgusting against the deliciousness of froyo. Overall, this is fine place. But honestly, I still recommend Elements in Puyallup. read more

Worst tasting frozen yogurt I've ever had, nothing special about it at all, it was not good at all. ,Their toppings were nothing like Black Bear, Peaks, or most other frozen yogurt locations around, it looks like a lot of topping options, but overall it was disapointing, they didn't have Snickers, and there were so many other things that they just didn't have, that I'm used to getting elsewhere. The service was not very friendly either, almost rude, no interacting with the customers, only amongst themselves, the girl who rang me out asked if I wanted to start a punch card, I told her yes, and she never gave me one, no worries though, because I won't be back, it was blah! Yummy froyo and too much to choose from! All machines were working unlike at other Menchies. Fresh fruit and candy to pick from. Don't forget your syrup toppings at the end. Menchies has got to be oonenof the best dessert places around. Every time I go in there I am greeted with a warm welcome. They are so nice that they even remember my name. Also the service is great. I know it's self serve and everything but they are quick to replace anything or fix some if it wrong. The people are also real. They don't sound like robots saying the same greeting all the time. First time visiting a Menchie's frozen yogurt store and I was highly disappointed. The service was horrible. Two blonde girls gossiping behind the counter and not helping customers. Thankfully I've been to other fro-yo places that I knew what to do, but if a first time fro-yo customer came in, they wouldn't. I suggest if the owners of this store read my review, please train your employees on what good customer service looks like and sounds like. Bad customer service will lose you business. Now on to the actual fro-yo. It was, in my opinion, disgusting! I tried almost all the flavors minus orange and vanilla. Everything tasted like it had an abundance of artificial flavor. Nothing tasted fresh. It also came out dripping puddles of fro-yo mix before it turned into a sloppy soft serve. It just didn't taste right or look right to me. Thankfully I've had way better fro-yo and will continue to support those businesses that I like. However, I will never be visiting another Menchie's store again. read more

Menchie's is now in Bonney Lake. It's a chain "fro-yo" place, and the quality of the frozen yogurt and the service reflect that of a chain store. I was not greeted, and I was not told where to start or how to try samples until I asked. When I tried the flavors available, I was not impressed. They do not taste good to me. I tried 6 samples before deciding to leave. I am now driving 15 minutes away to Elements Frozen Yogurt in Puyallup, which as a mom and pop type shop will have quality service and good frozen yogurt. I typically do not give bad reviews, but unfortunately, I was not impressed with Menchie's and will not be going back. read more

We have been to three Menchie's locations and none of them are within 10 minutes of home. My family is willing to travel pretty far for this froyo. We love it! We love the flavor selections. Avoid the $5 Friday nights; crowded and too much mess for staff to keep up on - but if you want A LOT of yogurt than maybe you'll think it's worth the crowd. We had an informal birthday party for our 5-year-old there completely without warning to the staff and they were so sweet to our birthday boy and his four friends. The price is right for this yogurt - not at all watered down, doesn't freeze your throat because it's not full of ice. Tons of toppings and sauces. Delicious summer, winter, spring or fall! My favorite is the Dole Pineapple - tastes just like a Disneyland Dole Whip. read more

This is a pretty good location. Odds are, you know what Menchies is and what they serve, so the focus of this review is on the other aspects. The staff we've interacted with there are very friendly and make this our favorite spot to get our froyo fix. The place itself can get pretty busy on weekends, especially Friday nights, but things go pretty smooth. Sometimes if you show up in the middle of a rush, you might find a flavor or two has run out, but don't feel bad about asking for help. The biggest complaint I have has nothing to do with the staff or the store itself, but it's about some of the customers. So, listen up all you other people: We all have to touch the handles and the spoons... try to be clean. Don't go in there coughing and sneezing and whatever. Try to supervise the little ones so they're not sticking their hands into the candy. You all know what I'm talking about. Same thing applies to any self-serve restaurant...just be kind to one another, be clean. read more

This is a fun community location. It's a great place to take the family for just a nice evening dessert or take the team celebration for an end of season party. We often go there after dinner out. The staff is friendly and do their best to assist. Plus, they let you try flavors before you buy so you can be sure that you like what you are buying. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because the company didn't anticipate how popular they would be and really needs to be bigger.
