Still awesome. Today we went with takoyaki starter and it was delicious. Wife had the scallop lover roll and uni. I went with the chirashi again. This place never disappoints. Their service and quality of food is incredible.

I always crack up reading reviews that give 1-3 stars and complain about prices. Go to Trappers. It's the Bonney Lake white man sushi Mecca.. This tiny spot is an oasis for those of us who know and appreciate fine sushi and the overall experience. Amazing service, presentation and quality. The menu has so many items we want to experience the next time we pop in! This place gives me hope Bl is no longer a corporate chain area.

The sushi here tasted so fresh! It's small and the atmosphere is really relaxing; definitely recommend reservations. They have a wide assortment of food and drinks, including imported Japanese drinks and a wide variety of sake. Even the bathrooms are nice, with heated seats and their own little fake tree. Speaking of fake trees, the Sakura tree in the main dining area is a really nice touch.

This small hidden gem was kind enough to accommodate a party of 13 at a last minute notice. From the moment we walked in, the service experience was great from all of the staff and chefs. From there, it was a majority of items ordered for appetizers before the rest of rolls and nigiri were ordered. Everything from quality, presentation, portion, and price was a hit.

Best sushi I have ever had. Visited on a Friday night and it was busy, but we had one table readily available for us. The rest who came in afterwards had to sit up by the chef. It was pretty pricey, but tasted phenomenal for the price. Ordered the Scallop Lover ($28) and the Surf & Turf ($28). Love the presentation and it was our own favorites. Service was great. Didnt have to wait too long for our food. Was patient when we were indecisive on what we wanted. Overall, we will definitely come back. Finally a restaurant we love in Bonney Lake.

This place is wonderful for a date! It is beautifully decorated and the food is amazing! The sushi presented is top quality and served like art. I only took away 1 star due to the price. It is quite pricey hence why I recommend it for a date or special occasion.

Food was amazing, super fresh. The way sushi is expected to be. Presentation is beyond amazing. Service is beyond perfect, our server was Taylor she was so helpful since this was our first time . She made a couple of recommendations but to be honest everything is delicious you can't go wrong. Fish is fresh, overall experience was amazing. The bathroom was also super clean.

    Loved this!

We LOVE Kuma! The fish is incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared, the presentation is gorgeous, and the service is always extraordinary. We always feel welcomed and really well looked after. Even when it's busy the service is always fantastic. The restaurant has also always been a lovely place, but they recently apparently decided they wanted an upgrade, and it's prettier and more elegant than ever. We have always had an amazing meal at Kuma, and are just addicted. Thanks for amazing food and a wonderful time!

60 reviews and almost a perfect 5 star rating. You don't see that often. How is there not a line out the door all day every day? I think us locals are keeping it a secret. All I know is, this place is by faaar the best sushi in Bonney Lake. Possibly all of Pierce County and can compete with the best in Seattle and Bellevue. This place is legit. But! You get what you pay for. Bill goes up real quick and it's worth it. So, don't come in expecting conveyor belt sushi and fake krab in every roll. You can go to Sumo Sushi if that's more your speed. Come here for delicious high quality sushi with amazing service. There has not been a single thing I have ordered that I did not like. Enjoy!

This is the best most authentic sushi spot in Bonney Lake. I came here during lunch and had a great experience. It's definitely very elegant and elevated. The fish was super fresh and delicious.

First time coming here. The outside isn't very inviting and we weren't sure if it was actually open or not. The inside is very nice though and the bathrooms are clean, and are also nice. We were the only ones there as it was about 3pm on a Sunday. We ordered gyoza and the spicy tuna tacos. The gyoza was good but the tacos were better. Not a huge fan of the tobiko on top. The rolls were also very good. I have to say, the pricing was very expensive. If I need a fix to get sushi in a pinch, I would come back here again.

The place is really small, would guess that's why prices are higher than what you'd expect in Bonney Lake. The food presentation was amazing! Everything tasted good and the restaurant was really clean. The only improvement I would recommend is the pace of service. Seemed like we waited extra long to place our order and get refills for tea and water. Just felt somewhat forgotten during the meal.

Miso soup and salad that was insane delicious!!!

Excellent authentic food, excellent service and beautiful cozy space. Presentation is out of this world! This is a classy place! Pricey but worth it! Be prepared for raw fish, there is lots!

My only negative is they don't seem to realize when customers enter as they are not greeted and can take several minutes before someone comes up front and realizes a customer or food delivery pick up is waiting. Would definitely go back when in the area.

My boyfriend got their garden wrap with a garlic and herb tortilla while I got their Washington Apple wrap with a garlic and herb tortilla. There was an order ahead of us but the employees got the orders made in a good amount of time and presentation was a nice touch too. The wraps had a great ratio of all the listed ingredients and you can yaste everything in each bite. The ingredients tasted and looked fresh! The interior is very cozy with plenty of seating that accommodates solo, couples or small groups. They have great lighting in there, both natural and inside. They had some old school RnB playing which was nostalgic for me as I heard a lot of these as a pre-teen. Definitely a fantastic spot, especially if you are trying to eat or be more healthy conscious but still have a flavorful meal!

I thought this was a one off, but it turns out that even when you order online and go to pickup the order, the staff will triple check your order. The restaurant is clean and orderly, with music playing in the background. Today, I had the build your own salad. I can say that they have some of the freshest ingredients to build a salad and the options are numerous in your choices to build a salad. I decided to add tuna to my salad. I thought this would be a great touch to such a fresh salad. The Caesar dressing was good and went well with the salad. The most disturbing part of this salad was the tuna. As it turns out, the tuna is canned with a strong fishy smell and flavor. I had assumed that the tuna with be cubed or sliced. This is a great place for vegans and vegetarians as well. Now, the fishy taste of the tuna was so string that I immediately brushed my teeth to get the taste out of my mouth. Please keep in mind that these salads start at $12-15 dollars plus the add-ons you like. Since I love salads, I had many extras and the salad was $26. My only regret was that I could not give back the tuna. I will try this place again, but for god sake change the tuna or skip it all together.

This establishment is in Orting and we had been told it wasn't the safest or most welcoming place for black people. I can't say I got that impression from the service I received today even with the inconvenience we experienced. Long story short, we waited over an hour for the food to come out and it was a little underwhelming. Long story long, my family and I showed up at 12:05 for breakfast and they were busy. We waited less than 5 minutes to be seated and about 5 minutes to put in drink and food orders. We ordered a side of potatoes, 2 orders of the biscuits and gravy with eggs, the lemon blueberry French toast and the classic eggs Benedict. It was an hour before the server let us know our food would be out soon. Within that time, we were checked on twice for drink refills. We watched tables come in, eat and leave. 15 minutes after the server let us know our food was coming out soon, it still hadn't come and we were looking to pay and leave. She said it was coming right up and showed up about 5 minutes later. One plate of biscuits and gravy had an old dry crumbly crunchy biscuit and one fresh biscuit. The gravy was tasty and plentiful, but a little looser than expected. The lemon blueberry French toast was tasty and looked appetizing, but was not hot enough to melt the accompanying lemon butter. The eggs Benedict was flavorful, but the English muffins were soggy. The ham was good quality and the hollandaise sauce was tasty, but had developed a film. We asked for boxes as soon as it came out and noticed we didn't get everything we ordered. Our server comped our drinks and removed the side of potatoes we didn't get. She apologized for the wait and offered a dessert for the inconvenience. She was very kind and the only reason Tim's gets 3 stars instead of one. For cultural context, we were the only black people there. There was only one other person who wasn't Caucasian in the entire establishment and we saw no non-whites in the community on the way there. The service was a genuine concern coming in, but our server worked diligently to remedy the inconvenience. Our guess was they ran out of biscuits halfway through our order being prepared. So it probably sat for quite some time before it got to us once the new biscuits were done, instead of remaking it so it was all fresh. Just wish they would have told us or warned us instead of waiting for us to complain. If that was the case and we were made aware, we would have ordered different things way ahead of the 1 hour mark. We didn't leave until after 1:30 and were quite dissatisfied with the quality of the food. I would t recommend this place to anyone, but I wouldn't protest anyone trying it either. I most likely won't go back anytime soon and don't see myself visiting this establishment in different cities either.
