Stopped in while waiting for an online Walmart order (don't get me started on that). It was lunchtime so a bit busy. I opted to sit in the bar area. Average noise level. I don't know how they do it, but it is low noise level. I initially went to the bar area but it was full. I found an empty booth in the dining area and sat down. I think I wasn't supposed to do that because after about 10 mins I had to ask someone about ordering (my bad). It was Veterans Day and they had a free entree and beer which was surprising and really appreciated that as a veteran! I ended up selected the Lime Chicken which was good and filled my belly. Ok.... May be it was end of night for some people, but the classic chicken bone-in wasn't very good because the chicken was very dry. I thought the chickens were going to be juicy slathered with garlic Parmesan sauce, but it was very dry. I was disappointed. The queso dip & chips were fine. I came in on a weekday afternoon to order a to go order. I already knew what I wanted, and told the hostess, who was taking the order that I wanted 2 of the oriental chicken salads made into wraps and fries with each of them. I paid $12.99 for each plus tax and tip. When I got home, I was super irritated to see 4 containers- 2 with fries and 2 containers with 1/2 of a wrap in each container. I basically got one meal and paid for 2. Also, the wraps were super messy- it was basically a salad with a piece of tortilla in the container. So disappointed. I can understand been it's an Uber Eats order or even to go order but I saw her wrote down the order and the receipt was correct as well, so not sure where the disconnect was. I asked our server before ordering if the cider was sweet or not and she not only didn't know, but wasn't interested in finding out. the HH spinach dip was awful ($5.15) and I recommend you avoid it. We don't come here often but when we do, wow. This past week when dining we met the most awesome server ever! Grace. She greeted us with a smile, a happy hello and the best attitude of any server that has served us in this location in the past. Being a former server, I know what to expect from great service. I am very generously giving these guys 2 stars ONLY because i appreciate a business that is willing to cut a veteran a break for one day a year. My experience there on veterans day, however, was not great. 1st issue, the second we were engaged by the staff I was asked "How many veterans menus?" "Veterans menus"? Really? Its bad enough that you have a special menu for one day a year. How would you like to go to a restaurant for dinner and be handed a menu with a short list of options while your guest gets to pick from the full menu? There were exactly 7 options on the "Veterans Menu". I think I would have been less offended if they would have handed me a kids menu.... honestly. As a person who doesn't like to complain, especially about FREE STUFF, i just order the "meat and potatoes" meal off the vet menu. I was never once asked for proof i was a vet. When the food came, i receive a pile of mashed potatoes with some "steak" pieces on top with a little cheese tomato and gravy. It looked ok. As i bit into the "meat and potatoes" i realized the piece of meat i had chosen was 100% gristle, and unchewable. So, i spit it out and tried another..... and another...... and another until i was on my 7th and final small bite of meat, which was also 100% gristle, and unchewable. Seriously? This is the "free meal" you are offering veterans on one day a year? So totally disappointing, and so totally disrespectful. I retired from the USMC in 2010. This is the 1st time since i have tried to take advantage of a "free meal" on Veterans Day. Unfortunately, it turned out to be no "dinner" at all, but instead a snack of mashed potatoes, with some sides of embarassment, confusion and disappointment. Thanks for the free snack guys! Sunday November 17, 2019 - approximately 4:30 pm... I place an order for loaded chicken fajitas and fiesta lime chicken dinners through Door Dash. Give a 20% tip through Door Dash app. Driver sends me a text that Applebee's is running a little behind and he would be delayed. Driver arrives hands plastic bag to my wife and walks away. I immediately notice that the chicken fajita dinner came without the chicken and vegetables. I tried to catch the driver but he does not notice me and drives away. I call Applebee's and speak with the Manager. The Manager apologizes and tells me I can come pick it up and he would have it ready. I agree and go pick up the missing food. I also text the Door Dash driver who also offers an apology and offers up an excuse of why it's not his fault and tells me I can be reimbursed through Door Dash support. I understand and accept that mistakes are going to happen. But to offer up an apology with no other options and then agree to have the meal ready if I will come get it just doesn't sit right with me. I was working from home and was willing to spend the extra money for the convenience of having dinner brought to us. It ended up costing me more than double for our dinner when I factor in my time. I had to go get it (paid for delivery) my wife and I dined separately, and I have to work an extra hour due to time lost responding to your terrible customer service. Please don't bother making excuses about Door Dash - own it! read more

My family of 4 adults, 2 children and 1 infant came into this establishment looking for a satisfying late dinner. This was the only location that didn't have a wait time and after our experience, we now know why. We were greeted by a server that obviously didn't want us to be there and could sense his negative attitude almost immediately. He took our order and checked up on our table once before our actual meal came out. Once our meal arrived, I couldn't even recognize the dish I had ordered and thought there must've been some mistake. Only after I pulled up the picture and linked it with the name did i realize this was my actual dish. I compared the pictures and was thrown off immediately. It was getting late, the kids were getting restless and all I wanted to do was pay for our meal and leave. We were told to sit and then we were left unnoticed for 15 minutes, then we were engaged. We sat where we were pointed from the entrance. We didn't know what to do, we thought all the food was through the video screen at the table. After the first 15 the server gave us menus and we cancelled one item to order an entree. Appetizer was dropped off with no plates, silverware, napkins... I stood up and walked across the room to get some napkins. The appetizer was finished when we saw the server again, then we received plates and utensils. Fiesta Lime Chicken was great, ribs have poor flavor. One of the things I missed living in Japan was Applebee's I would go to one about once a week especially around lunch time for the soup and salad combo!! So me living so close to one was a great plus. I have eaten here about 3 or 4 times and each time it's not consistent the food is a hit or miss. I enjoyed the spicy shrimp over a bed of rice the very first time I went. But then the next time I went it was way different a lot more sauce on the shrimp this was not my favorite you can tell it was a different cook. The third time I went it wasn't as good as the first time but it was definitely better then the second lol. Ok ok I know I keep eating the same thing but I like it (most of the time). The fourth time it was good again so I have realized it's really a hit or miss. The staff is ok but that's a hit or miss too. The last time I went the waitress was the best prior times it's hard to get a refill at times. The other problem and the biggest issue I had was those little computer things you use to pay at the table I love the idea it's great but they seem to always be nasty dirty. I don't know why but I hate using them over there and each time I go I tell them it needs to be cleaned. I love me some Applebee's but honestly I come here when I'm not sure what we want to eat and just too tired to drive anywhere else. This trip was due to friends wanting to grab dinner prior to our event that evening. Well, I typically like Applebee's and don't usually have an issue, but this was just a bad experience. Fortunately I don't live near here so I won't be back. It started with our group, which was a party of 12, being seated at an 8 top. Not even close to enough room for all of us. But, we got past that one and ordered our food. When I ordered, I ordered the new Mac and Cheese, a "Salad to Start" and a glass of ice water. Well, the waiter was either incompetent or just wasn't good at his job. I didn't get the ice water until our meals came and well, the salad didn't come until after I was eating my entree. Remember when I said we were at an 8 top? Well, not only was there no room for the salad, I was already eating so that was an annoying fail, and I was actually looking forward to my salad because I enjoy salads in general. But, having started eating and literally no room for the plate I already had on the table I told him no thanks and away went my salad. To top it all off, since I didn't get my salad when the rest of table was getting there appetizers, I was hungry, the food looked good. Shortly after the appetizers, a runner came out with entrees, one of which was the mac and cheese that I had ordered, so I said me, that's mine. She set it down and then proceeded to ask who had the second entree she had in hand, well no one had ordered it which was her clue that she was delivering to the wrong table. She proceeded to pick up the entree in front of me and go to the correct table. SO, not only had I not gotten my salad but I was given an entree and then had it taken away. Well, we eventually got our tables entree's some time later. Which is where the next disappointment came in, the entree that I actually received to consume was no where close to the first one in appearance or quantity, very inconsistent! The only thing I ever get there is the oriental chicken salad, which I think is delicious (but it's probably because the dressing is so terrible for you). Decent happy hour and it goes throughout the restaurant, so if you have people with you who are underage, you can still get happy hour prices without sitting in the exclusively in the bar. Food is just okay, but there really isn't anything else in the area besides fast food so plan accordingly if you are venturing out this way to catch a movie or something. Staff is friendly, but their service is on the slow side. Didn't have any problems with our meal, it was just uneventful. Nothing really good, or really bad. 5 stars for the food and the service! I've gone to the Applebees in Lynnwood and Bothel and never liked the food at either location. But every time I come out to the one in Bonney Lake, I am blown away by the great food. They must have a really good chef at the Bonney Lake location. I typically order the steak, although sometimes I get chicken fingers or quesadillas. Absolutely recommend the Parmesan shrimp steak as well as the Peppercorn steak. The service is exceptional too. A lot of the time we get the same server and he remembers things we liked from the last time ( for example hot water with lemons) even if we haven't been there in weeks. My family and I eat at Applebee's quite often because the food is typically pretty good for the price however suddenly it is becoming more often that I am brought disappointing meals. With this review I posted a photo of my steak which was completely embarrassing and should have never been brought to my table followed by the words "enjoy"..
