Wanted to doordash Chinese on a Monday ...but most are closed. I usually drive but have been sick with the flu. Decided to give this a try. My son had ordered from before and liked the Cocoanut Chicken. Strike 1 - No Wonton Soup available Strike 2 - Sesame Chicken was hideous. I ate part and gave some to my wife to try. She agreed and I threw it away. I pretty tolerant but this was bad! Strike 3 - Chicken with Broccoli and asked to add cashews. This was on receipt. No cashews and very little chicken. Was mostly just broccoli and carrots. The crab Rangoon and egg drop soup were acceptable. Will not go back. read more

The ingredients looked good, service and presentation great. Love thier packaging. Only issue is there was very little sauce on the dishes. Looked like they made the dish, plated it, then laid a small amount of sauce on top. Almost like it was thicker premade sauce squeezed out of a dispenser. There was none of the normal (yummy) sauces pooling in the bottom of the dishes at all. Will try again thoughg in case it was a one off. read more

I feel like I've tried every Chinese restaurant in the tri-state, and there's typically not much that separates the standard takeout joints. All that changed this evening when I got food from Dragon City! Not only was the food delicious, I'm a huge fan of the extra care given with the packaging. The Crab Rangoon and Chicken Pot Stickers were great, although the dipping sauce with the Crab Rangoon was very much an overly sweet, pre-packaged sauce that I wish restaurants would do away with, but I digress. The Egg Drop Soup was delicious, and the fried wontons to finish it off were great as well. I consider myself a General Tso's Chicken connoisseur at this point, and it's the dish I judge Chinese restaurants on most frequently. The chicken in this was white meat, which was a very pleasant surprise! The flavor and texture of the chicken truly set this place apart for me. The sauce was great and the rice was well-cooked. Went here because it was the ONLY Chinese open on Monday and I was going to be down the road for a dentist appointment. DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Food was fresh, loved the packaging. Veg LoMein was the best I've ever had (I did order well done veg). Portions were fair for the price paid. Will def order from here again to take home! read more

We knew this recently opened up, so I stopped in to grab some entrees for the family. Overall it was good. The food: General Tsos with lo mein Broccoli shrimp with fried rice Broccoli chicken with white rice The pros: The packaging is solid. Well branded. Almost too much. The price value was good. Portions were large. Our food was correct, hot and tasty (mostly, see below) The cons: The entrees come with a side (white/brown/fried rice or lo mein) the con was we were charged an up charge 1.00 for the lo mein and fried rice, which was not clear on the menu. Our opinion: the fried rice was not good. Bland with rather hard vegetables. All our other dishes and sides were good, that was not. There were a few organizational issues tonight, but that was new opening kinks that I expect will be resolved shortly. read more

I give it a one for customer service guy was really nice. Food I don't like my rice yellow, fried or otherwise, this isn't rice a roni, I asked for onion they were raw, didn't even cook them or sautee them, yuck! Ordered a shrimp fried rice I got five shrimp. And could not use my five dollar promotion. First and last. It was clean. read more

I got take-out here yesterday and was quite impressed. General Tso's was right up there with some of the best I've had. I know it's not "true Chinese" and people in China have never even heard of the General, but I like it on occasion. Egg Rolls came 2 to an order to which I assumed they'd be wimpy or half sized, wrong. 2 full sized egg rolls that were pretty good. Not the best (Sizzling Wok), but not too shabby. Something that sets this place apart from EVERY other Chinese place is the packaging. You notice this immediately when they hand you the bag. It's not just a paper bag, I mean it is a paper bag, but is branded with their name and stylized logo and has handles. The egg rolls come in their own branded pouch that I think was sealed to keep them hot. There was a sealed pouch that again had their logo and name that had 1) chop sticks, 2) branded napkin, 3) the nicest plastic fork and spoon I've ever seen in my life(truly), 4) pouch with a toothpick. The General Tso's came in a two compartment container with their logo molded into the plastic. This container is substantial, and is thick enough plastic that I'd say it is probably dishwasher/microwave safe. It's two compartments are almost completely separated, and I would bet you could reuse it a few times for leftovers or to pack lunch for work or school, borders on Tupperware quality. I've been to MANY Chinese restaurants and I've never seen packaging and to-go wares as extensive/expensive as this place. Get there soon, because once they realize the price point of these items versus plane white generic everything, they'll probably go generic, but it was nice to see someone taking some pride in the little stuff. America has gotten so used to the bare minimum in effort that I like to see an affordable place raising their standards and I hope they keep it up! read more

Worst Chinese food I've ever had. I ordered chicken pad thai, and basically got cooked rice noodles. The chicken was in teeny tiny pieces that you could barely find;there were maybe 4 of these very small pieces of chicken. No peanut sauce (or chopped peanuts) at all. The egg was in one great big lump and burned. I also ordered crab rangoon, which seemed like re-fried old rangoons. It was dried up in the center, and super crispy and oily. It's easy to tell when someone reheats old food when you have previously worked in the restaurant business. Never again. read more

The fried rice here is...interesting, I have never had yellow fried rice or rice of that texture but it still had nice flavor. The sweet and sour chicken is some of THE BEST sweet and sour I have ever had from any restaurant. All the sweet and sours I have had in the past were big deep fried chicken fingers, that's the best way to describe them I guess. The ones they serve here at Dragon City are similar but they are little bite size ones that are not 20% chicken 80% batter, they are the perfect split between the two and are extremely tasty. This place just opened after being another Chinese takeout place. I got the beef broccoli, spring rolls, and egg drop soup. I ate the spring rolls and beef broccoli. The beef broccoli didn't have any flavor but did have a lot of beef. The rice that came with it was sticky and had no flavor as well. The spring rolls were good but not great. Kind of greasy. I haven't tried the soup yet but won't go back to eat anymore. China Wok in Amelia is way better so I think I will stick with them. read more

I placed an order through Uber Eats, for general two's chicken, with mixed vegetables instead of broccoli, chicken egg rolls, and crab rangoons. Dragon City increased the price of my order by $7, I am guessing for the vegetables. I did not get the vegetables, and instead of general tso's, I got sesame chicken. The receipt clearly says general tso, so I am extremely disappointed. I don't think I'll order from them again. read more

Food was only okay, same bland salty-sweet-oily Cantonese stuff as elsewhere. Mayo tofu was nothing like the real thing. Mixed veggies were okay. The best thing was that the takeout boxes appeared recyclable. I'd eat takeout again maybe because of that. read more
