Waitress was really nice, food came out quickly and everything was so delicious. We got the crab rangoon, a spring roll, pineapple coconut chicken fried rice, the hong kong chicken and wonton egg drop soup. Well....visiting my brother while waiting to get safely (Covid 19 testing precaution) to my next destination. Got a hankering for a Pu Pu platter and decided this must be the place. I ordered two Pu Pu platters and House Lo Mein and House Fried Rice. My order taker was personable, efficient and very knowledgeable with excellent customer service skills. Wait for the food was less than 15 minutes so that was a plus. Foot traffic for pick up was average for afternoon, so that was a good sign and the smell of my fresh cooked food was tantalizing. Made it back to brothers house and the food exceeded my expectations. Very fresh and well made. I added no soy sauce, duck sauce or spicy mustard to my food. It was not needed. Order was ready on time. Food was awful. I have never had food this bad here. Vegetable lo mien had giant pieces of broccoli- that was old and had a rancid flavor. The vegetable fried rice was filled with old or uncooked peas and carrots. There is no reason for peas to be crunchy. My food was pretty much inedible. I was already exhausted so I didn't have the energy to drive back for a refund. read more

Quick and reasonably priced. My boyfriend gets himself take out from here all the time. So much so, that I'm pretty sure they know his voice and his exact order when he calls. On the latest visit, my boyfriend called in to order for both of us - sesame chicken with white rice, beef and broccoli with white rice, and crab rangoon. I picked it up on my way home from running errands. I was up Winton Road by the mall - about 15 minutes away - when he called to order and thought I might get there before it was ready. I drove straight to the restaurant to pick up the food and walked right in. The food was ready. The worker was nice, I paid, and he handed me the food. I live maybe 2 minutes from this location. When I got home and opened the food, the chicken looked like it had been sitting for a while, but it tasted just fine. The rice was perfect and the chicken was tender. Wow. Its average take out food as far as taste and quality. The customer service is very poor. The two guys running the front are consistently unpleasant, rude and forgetful. This makes me really sad to share this experience. Growing up, my husbands family lived in the area of this restaurant and they have been picking up Chinese food from there. For the longest time, I would say this was my favorite Chinese restaurant. Generally, my husband would call in the order and pick it up for us even though it's not very close to our house. Yesterday while dog sitting I realized that it was just a mile from the house and I wanted to have Chinese food. I didn't see a menu online and I was in a hurry so I just called the restaurant, assuming they had all the standard Chinese faire. The person that answered the phone spoke perfect English with no accent, yet the conversation was frustrating and unpleasant. There are some menu items listed on the Yelp app. I tried to order the "sizzling shrimp and rice soup" he sounded confused and said they didn't have that. I mentioned the hot appetizer for two which confused him also but eventually we understood what that was. I asked if they would send extra mustard sauce. I ordered a couple other dishes and pork fried rice. It was an odd conversation because I said that we come there all the time but I also was saying I wasn't sure what was on the menu and I was asking questions for things that I wanted, such as an eggplant dish or something with gai lan (which I've ordered other places before and is a Chinese green vegetable that they sauté with garlic). My husband pick up the order and brought it to me at the doghouse. The hot and sour soup was missing. And there was not even one packet of mustard sauce in the bag. NOT ONE PACKET. Normally I would say this was an oversight but they were probably 15 duck sauce and 10 soy sauce and not one single mustard. Also, I asked for pork fried rice and I don't know if they just cook it differently when you ask for certain protein but it was really dark brown color and very unappetizing with no flavor. I actually called today to see if they did cook it with a different sauce and the person answering the phone said they did not. I think the conversation was so annoying for the person who answered the phone that they just decided they didn't want our business. I have to say, if that's what he was shooting for he has achieved it. I will not be back again. read more

Good for cheap Americanized Chinese lunch. $5.95 lunch special is a lot of food...comes with your choice of soup or an egg roll, fried rice or white rice, and an entree. I get the chicken and broccoli with white rice and hot and sour soup. They do make the food fresh on the wok when you order it, which I appreciate. Hot and sour soup is just ok. Seems to cater to the take-out crowd a bit more. Fantastic Wok has all the Chinese restaurant menu items one would expect: Mongolian Beef, Cashew Chicken, Egg Rolls, Won Ton Soup, etc. Yes, I realize many of these items aren't "authentic". The food was decent and I enjoyed my soup and chicken dish. My date enjoyed the Veggie Delight which was quite spicy. She asked for it that way. She also enjoyed the Hot and Sour Soup. I tried it and thought it was terrible, but I don't like that soup. Egg Rolls/Spring Rolls were decent. The thing that kind of irked me was that the tables weren't clean. And not just the one we sat at. All of the tables were dirty when we came in. I don't know if they had just been busy or if cleanliness is just that low on the totem pole. This place does bait n switch!! Says on the Internet that their prices are one thing and when you get there they tell you a whole different story. I took screenshots anyone can call me I will tell you what the prices were and even send you the screenshots. The food is good so it makes me really sad that they lie about the prices. The food is hit or miss at this place. The Pad Thai is very poor...no egg, no sprouts, no peanuts with a huge amount of onions. So bad that we ate a bite and threw it away. The beef with broccoli and cashew chicken are both excellent as is the egg foo young. They also have above average egg rolls. The staff is usually good but the last time I picked up take out...when arriving home and sorting out the food on the table, part of the meal was not in the bag. We had to drive 10 minutes back to the restaurant and then 10 minutes back home. This absolutely drives me nuts to say the least. It's in a tiny strip mall opposite a much larger one on Winton with about 15 parking spots in front. Inside is rather run down, with a half dozen booths on one side and a standing area for those waiting to place orders at the counter. Menu is basic American Chinese, with lunch specials posted above. The best you can say is that it's really cheap, $5.95 for lunch portions plus soup or egg roll, although drinks are extra and not refillable (no fountain, only bottles and cans). Whether you eat in or carry out, you're served in a to-go box. I had wonton soup and hot spicy beef, and both were served piping hot. Both were just okay, with the beef dish not especially spicy and quite oily. Apparently you have to tell them explicitly if you want enough heat to taste it. As with most things, you get what you pay for. read more

Great little takeout place! I've been here a few times now, and they never disappoint. The last couple times I ordered the Szechuan chicken, which is flavorful and has just the right amount of spice. I was impressed when I came back today and one of the nice young guys working the front remembered my order from last time (which was at least a couple months ago). I decided to take a leap of faith (ha) and went for the garlic chicken this time - delicious, as expected! The staff is friendly and this place is as authentic as a Chinese takeout place gets. Fantastic Wok is tucked between a Gamestop and a Cici's Pizza in Brentwood Plaza off Winton Rd. Like any chinese found in a strip mall, you can pretty much know what to expect from it. Fantastic Wok is no exception: great lunch prices and heaping portions. The food is good but nothing really stands out. I like their hot and sour soup and their Kung Pao chicken. The staff is friendly and there is plenty of seating if you want to stick around. If you are grabbing take out, make sure to call ahead or you could be waiting awhile. read more

Their lunch special can't be beat... $5.50 for soup and a takeout box packed with tons of food! I came here for lunch the other day and got the black pepper chicken with a hot n sour soup. My friend said he always gets the lo mein. The soup was pretty good, and I took 3/4 of my box home with me (granted, I can never eat a ton when I'm talking a lot lol). This is not a fancy place, your food comes in a styrofoam container and you use plastic utensils. Water and hot tea are free, and the staff seems friendly. Overall service is good and the food is pretty consistent as well. The guy that served me, Jimmy, was very friendly, although he smiled a lot which made me slightly uncomfortable. Stopped in for a quick lunch. Food was fine, nothing special. Service was quick. My issue is with the employees. I was sitting at the table by the window, so furthest away from the kitchen. The 2 male employees were carrying on a very loud conversation. They were dropping the F bomb every other word with a few other curse words sprinkled in. I found that to be completely inappropriate and rude. When I looked up from my plate I saw a gentleman with his son, who looked to be maybe 11 or 12 waiting for their food. They had already placed their order so it's not like the employees didn't realize they were there. They just chose to speak that way anyway. The entire thing made me very uncomfortable. I will not be back. And I would recommend you not bring your kids with you if you come. read more

It's depressing to have to downgrade yet another shopping center Chinese restaurant, but when I tried to place a phone order yesterday I just gave up. I asked for Orange Beef, mild, which I've ordered before and the guy said, "What do you mean, mild?" I was trying to communicate with him but I couldn't understand what he was saying because a woman was yelling in Chinese so loudly in the background. Given that they left stuff out of my last takeout order, I decided the best route to just say "nevermind." Ordered from Peking Garden instead. It was just as bad as last time. Best Feature: Delicious food at a good price! Worst Feature: The interior is not very friendly; very austere I love this place!! As far as food goes, it's your usual Chinese cuisine; however, since I've toured many a Chinese food restaurant, I can say this place has had no dish I haven't enjoyed! I often get the spicy beef or General Tso's chicken; they give you good portions for your price! The only thing I find lacking is the dining area is not appealing at all. A mirror runs the length of the left wall, and the furniture/floors are not very decorative or cozy whatsoever. If my father had not showed me this place, I might not have ever tried it just because it looks uninviting. The food itself is served in styrofoam boxes that you can simply close and take with you; that is also not very appealing to me, but I'm more concerned with the quality of my food, so I can deal with it. I wouldn't suggest this as a date outing or night out on the town; I tend to go during lunch and local P&Gers hit up the same place around that time. However, the food is worth the trip - you can always take the food with you and eat somewhere more inviting, and believe me, the food is amazing!
