Cute little things..couldn't let this pass me by... Pumpkin brûlée: Actually pretty good! This was my first time having mini doughnuts, where before I have had doughnut holes around the same size. Very subtle not too overpowering pumpkin flavor. Flavor is all in the sugar. The doughnut it self was any other doughnut, but they just dip it in the sugar flavor mix. I was intrigued by their out of the ordinary sugar toppings especially the lavender, pistachio and vanilla combo. For 12 mini doughnuts, you pay $11 for a choice of 4 flavors. If you choose their plain flavors, then it'll cost $10. This is pretty pricey for a dozen tiny doughnuts, but I paid for the hype. I chose: Lavender, pistachio, vanilla - this was by far the best flavor! The hint of lavender perfumed the doughnut ever so slightly with the nuttiness of the pistachio and the gourmet taste of the vanilla all worked so beautifully together. Apple cider - eh it definitely does not taste like the cider donuts you get at the farm. Pb&j - I didn't taste much of the peanut butter and the grape flavoring was a little overpowering. Matcha green tea - great concept, but it didn't deliver on the matcha taste. Overall, I wouldn't pay this much money for these tiny doughnuts again. They only allow you do pick two flavors which is disappointing because I did want to try more than one, but didn't want to order a dozen. When I asked the cashier her recommendation on flavors, she simply pointed to the menu and listed was "popular flavors". It would have been nice to hear her input from personal experience. Our hotel was super close to Chelsea market and I saw they had a donut spot so I had to give it a try. They have a long menu of flavors with various toppings. The donuts are mini and made to order. I tried the chocolate glaze , vanilla glaze , coco mint pattie and lemon pop. I was surprised that they put the donuts in bags by flavor. They were pretty pressed together, wish they came in a small donut box. I also would have posted a picture to Instagram/yelp if they were presented nicer which would be great for business. I don't know why but I was a lil surprised when I saw that these were tiny lil things! Still good, but different than other donut places in the city. Love: + Light and fluffy + Fun to try different flavors (I had seasonal mulled apple cider & flower power - hibiscus, rose, honey) + Cool concept + They gave me an extra which I did notice and do appreciate! Not so love: - Pricey. $1 a donut. - You can only try 2 flavors max if you buy 6. That's how they get you to buy more. And honestly, it is a little annoying bc they only need to dip the donut in a different container with the specialty sugar. Overall, the donuts are good and I love how fluffy they are. Decent donuts but horrible service. We were picking flavors but failed to read on the menu that you're limited to two flavors if you order six donuts. We started ordering the flavors we wanted and when we got to our third flavor the cashier exclaimed "absolutely not!" with a dead serious face. I thought he was joking at first but he continued to stare back. When I looked confused he said "I thought you were reading the menu, didn't you see you only get two flavors with six donuts?". I had a VERY poor experience with Donuttery. I found an image of mini donuts on Donuttery's website and requested an order mimicing the elegant designs represented in that image, with a slight variation in color scheme. I was mortified when I got my acthal donuts. They looked nothing like the donuts in that original image, which were beautiful, artistically crafted donuts with unique sprinkles thoughtfully and generously placed -- something you would proudly showcase at a high-end event like a wedding or bridal shower. Instead, I received donuts that looked like a kid decorated them, with sprinkles carelessly and sparsely placed. I was embarrassed to present them at my party. But since I paid $90 for 4 dozen MINI donuts, I felt obligated to serve them. I just didn't feature them like I originally intended. After the event, I wrote a note to the owner Evan and expressed my extreme disappointment. I didn't ask for my money back or a discount for a future order. I wanted to let the owner know about my experience and see if he had an explanation. Evan wrote back defensively refuting my claims and stated that the donuts I received were very similar to the donuts in the original image. I've posted the pictures here to show you what I mean by a variance of quality. I even polled my friends and colleagues and they unanimously said there was a big difference in quality -- like night and day. You would never believe they were made by the same company. They had more of a funnel cake texture. We tried the Coco Loco and Speckled Strawberry Doughnuts. A minimum order is six minis and you get to pick up to two flavors. The Coco Loco dust was made of chocolate cereal and cocoa; I liked this flavor more than the other but it wasn't too chocolatey. The Speckled Strawberry doughnuts had strawberry, lemon-thyme, and rainbow sprinkles; except ours didn't have rainbow sprinkles and I was disappointed.
