Love that places like these stayed open during COVID - thanks! I keep saying I'll try one of the delicious other flavors but keep coming back for the classic chocolate chip w just the right amount of sea salt. Like that the pricing is consistent ($3.25 each) regardless of the flavor. It's what a fresh baked cookie should be - chewy in the center with a perfectly crispy edge. Reminds me of my suburban mall days when I would smell Mrs. Fields wafting by, but sooo much better. Can't wait for Broadway / movie theatres to reopen to bring these in as my intermission treat :) Enjoy! read more

The 2nd location just opened (3rd if you count the closed Williamsburg one), in a great location in Cooper Square. The decor and cookies are just like the one by Times Square, but they have some new stuff here like cookie cakes. The classic chocolate chip is solid, while lots of people seem to like the other ones with the signature layer of frosting on top. read more

The cookies are big, soft and chewy. Some of them are too sweet, but they have a lot of variety. I really liked the chocolate ones. They're so good with a tall glass of milk or a cup of coffee. The only flavor I would definitely stay away from is the Funfetti. It's way too sweet; it is a sugar cookie... but everything else we tried was great. It literally smells like sugar and butter inside the bakery. The guys working there are also pretty nice and sometimes they hand out samples. read more

Really great service! I sampled the funfetti but it was too sweet for me. The classic chocolate chip was great, especially warmed up. It wasn't anything worth rolling your eyes back for, but definitely a solid cookie. Next time I'll try their brownies! Update: tried the German chocolate brownie. Delicious! Came across this large beautiful modern looking cookie shop after having dessert next door. Started looking around and immediately was drawn to their Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookie. Bacon on a cookie? Damn was I wrong. The cookie was delicious and a decent sized portion. I ended up also getting the red velvet cookie since they had a BOGO deal going on. $3.25 well spent. Unfortunately I was stuffed from the desserts or else I would've bought a few more cookies. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I shall return soon! read more

They've got solid goodies here, albeit I haven't tried their cookies. I came last month and got a slice of the funfetti cookie cake and I wasn't super impressed - it was good but nothing better than something you'd get at a grocery store. Today I got the s'mores bar and that was very good! I also like that they now have 15% off for students. read more

We happened to be walking by one evening, post-dinner, and were lured in by the wafting smell of fresh baked cookies, but the cookies were only okay. We asked the guy at the counter what he recommended and so we went with the Classic and Apple Crisp. Maybe the other dessert options and the ice cream cookie sandwich are better but we didn't get to try those. If the shop isn't too busy, you can ask that the cookies be warmed up, but even then, I thought the smell was more enticing than the cookie itself. I'm a huge cookie lover, but wasn't that impressed by the cookie. Staff was super friendly which makes this meh review that much harder to write. Unfortunately, with so many places in New York City, I probably won't be stopping by again. read more

I was waffling between 3.5 and 4, but went with 4 due to the friendly customer service. It was our first visit and happened to be during happy hour where if you order 2 cookies, it's additional $1 for a small drink. I used the Yelp check-in perk for a glass of milk instead. Of the 4 cookies, the Earl Grey chocolate chip with orange and the Choconut Chip were the best. The Earl Grey had a richer flavor profile with the orange zest making it feel like an adult cookie. Choconut chip had coconut flakes and walnuts although I didn't taste much of the latter. The strawberry covered chocolate cookie was a miss for me as the artificial strawberry flavor was too sweet and it ended up tasting of a poptart instead of a fancy cookie. I had high hopes for the Ginger Rogers as ginger cookies are my fave, but the icing detracted from it and it didn't have a warm spice profile. Next time, I'll stick to the variations on the chocolate chip. Or explore unusual flavors via the $1 day old cookie bin. read more

This is their newest outlet located at cooper square. Much bigger space compared to their Times Square outlet. Lots of seating available so you can enjoy a your cookies peacefully. The staff were the sweetest and super friendly! Their cookies are their main product and they've got lots of different kinds of it. Here's what we tried: Cookie Sandwich- Chocolate or vanilla ice cream sandwiched between two cookies of your choice. We got the s'mores cookie and it was fantastic! Brownie bites- Oreo flavored bite sized brownies. Really yummy! Funfetti Cookie cake- huge stack of birthday party cookie with loads of funfetti and whipped cream. Schmack snack cup- this was our favorite! Yummy cupcakes filled with m&m and caramel on the inside S'mores cookie- our favorite cookie!! Super disappointing. So many other better cookie options in the city. This was a desperation play. I ended up throwing my dessert away because I didn't want to crack a tooth. My bf enjoyed his ice cream sandwich and this place has become a running joke between us - when he's teasing me, he'll suggest we go here for dessert, to which I reply, "hell no!" or "hard pass." Do yourself a favor. Just go anywhere else (even a drugstore for a box of Entenmann's (ooohhh their coffee cake donuts!). read more

UGHHHH the cold brew is so good. They serve Kobrick's, which is god tier coffee. They carry oat milk, for all you dairy absconders. Staff is super friendly, they gave me a sweet corn cookie on the house (idk why, I think they like me? they felt bad for me since I was wearing scrubs and buying a cold brew at 10pm? idk man). The cookie was good. Nothing to really write home about, but it was a sweet gesture. + for being clean, + for baking on-site. read more

Would have left 0 starts if that was an option. I ordered cookies at 8:10pm. I was told they would be delivered at 9:00pm. It is now 9:45pm. They have given no updates. Amazing new cookie shop that just opened up in East Village! I had a cookies and cream cookie and it was excellent. The cookie itself was soft on the inside and nice and crisp on the outside, and the frosting is what made it out of this world. The shop warm and inviting, and it's has a very big storefront which makes it a great place to hang out with friends and enjoy some deliciousness in a fun and trendy location. The decor is reminiscent of the original location, and the staff here were very warm and welcoming. Definitely recommend!! read more

Excellent customer service! Place order online and mistakenly went to wrong location and they were still able to fill my order. Ordered a flight of schmalls and they were delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed the Blood Red Velvet and S'mores . The S'mores can get a little messy. The Maple Bacon and Hangover were also good. Best with some milk. Would come back and try other flavors. read more

Milkshake was amazing thick but not too thick it was cookie infused so it has big chucks of cookie towards the end of the shake which I enjoyed. I would say there's definitely better chocolate chip cookie out there because the chocolate chip cookies here are good but it's not what I expected I feel like the other cookie like ginger Rogers are more unique and tasteful there creativity in cookies is awesome so if you come here make sure to give the other cookies a shot cause they are delicious read more

The Pumpkin Spice cookie is by far one of the best cookies I have ever eaten. My kids love the cookie dough and birthday cake cookies. The pumpkin spice is definetly a less sweet treat than the other cookies here, which I appreciate. If you love pumpkin spice you have to try one. read more

Really enjoying this place. I especially like that they sell day old cookies so I can be a sport and buy enough to share with others. My students enjoy these cookies and are affordable enough for kids with limited dollars. I did one time get a piece of plastic from the frosting tub on one cookie but they were apologetic and have since given me a free cookies. I didn't die and it's no biggie to me lol. Very happy they are here. PS I have the four stars just due to the plastic. They people are friendly . read more

Went to the new Schmackary's location on Saturday afternoon to get a slice of cookies and cream cookie cake. I've been a Schmackary's fan for years, so I just had to try their newest creation. It was delicious! From the frosting between each layer of cookies to the cookies themselves, everything was perfectly soft and sweet. The staff was incredibly friendly as well, which made my visit even more pleasant. Would highly recommend that everyone visit this wonderful new location. I'll be back soon! read more

I never leave Yelp reviews, but Kelsey (spelling?), the self-proclaimed cookieologist, was simply the best customer service employee I've ever encountered. She was hilarious, helpful and truly made the experience one I will not forget shortly. I only stopped in for a bite of ice cream but stayed and bought more cookies because she was so great. When you enter there is a bar you can sit at and two large high top tables next to it. As you walk further in there is a lounge with couches and various sizes tables. The whole space is surrounded by books! Heaven! We ordered a chai, matcha and a ginger cookie. Shout out to the woman taking my order for comping me my drink for my birthday! Everyone from the staff was friendly - I really enjoyed being there. The only thing I would say is someone should come by to check on the tables more often as I had to return other people's abandoned drinks. But you know what first world problems, am I right? Maybe they can have a sign or mention to customers to return their own cups before leaving. I sort of can't imagine why people don't... It is quite popular spot so you need to be very patient and strategic if you want to grab a table, as well as sprinkled with a little bit of luck. We unfortunately got there a little late. At the bottom of the shaved ice was cereal pieces and mochi which gave a nice different texture. We also tried their drinks specifically their blue lemonade and mango-ade which I thought was just ok. The highlight is definitely their shaved ice. Definitely go for the large as the small seemed much smaller and for double the price, you can get almost 2-3x more. Overall: it's a great place to grab a shaved ice and relax . The atmosphere is chill and you can stay without feeling rushed.
