Funny Face Cookies has been one of my go‑to spots for years, and it just keeps getting better. The chocolate chip cookies are everything you want them to be...soft, rich, and packed with flavor. The marshmallow cookies are on a whole different level, perfectly gooey and honestly addictive. Ugh, this is an issue because I keep buying them and summer is right around the corner. Oh well, you live only once! The minis are absolutely delicious too. They're the perfect size when you want a little treat without going overboard, though I always end up grabbing more than one. What really makes this place stand out is the customer service. Karlo is patient, caring, friendly, helpful, and thoughtful every single time. There's a level of attention and kindness that you don't see often, and it makes every visit feel genuinely appreciated. Karlo truly has the best customer service ever, and it's a big part of why I keep coming back. If you love great cookies and even better service, this place never disappoints. Enjoy the pricy, but delicious cookies! The place is so cute and adorable! As soon as you walk in, the smell takes you to another dimension...and you become, Cookie Monster! Yum! Yum! Yum!

I have been here more times than I can count. This time I couldn't control myself and ordered 5 cookies ($34). I ordered the chocolate chip, cookies n cream, s'mores, Bailey's Hot Cocoa, and the crispy mallow. The s'mores and crispy mallow were pretty similar, but the crispy mallow was much chewier. S'mores has been one of my favorites for years, but I think the crispy mallow just creeped ahead by a little bit on the favorites list. I love coming in to try the seasonal cookies, but I was disappointed by the Baileys Hot Cocoa cookie. It was heavy on the baileys and light on the everything else. The baileys flavor was intensely overwhelming. I couldn't eat more than 1 bite unfortunately. Service was quick and friendly as always! I love walking around the bakery and looking at the beautifully decorated cookies.

This place is absolutely dangerous for my wallet b/c I think these cookies are top notch. Anything with s'mores or marshmallows- I am signing up! The s'mores cookie was great and I am not embarrassed to say that I demolished this before I arrived to the bus stop. The cookie was warm and the marshmallow pull was prime the Golden Grahams also was a great touch I had the cookies and crème the following day (need to space out the flavor) , had it in the microwave for 30 sec and it was also solid, very generous with the white chocolate chips.

Based off of the s'mores cookie that traveled from NY to Seattle and then in to my belly. The cookie held up really well, super crispy edges thanks to the golden graham coating, soft gooey chocolate center, marshmallows...yum. Every bite was good. I found the center a smidge too gooey but that's a personal thing, it wasn't so gooey that it would fall apart in my hands like some places. Cookie isn't too sweet and has great texture. I think the only thing that could "maybe" make it better would be if the marshmallow top had been lightly torched for the fire/toasted feel. Overall, one of the best s'mores cookies I've had and can easily say I found my new favorite NY cookie- especially since city cakes closed. Tried the shortbread and it was fine, had a hint of lemon. Put the s'mores cookie in the freezer! Eating it semi frozen was incredible. A totally different experience...probably one of thr best cookies I've ever had in my life.

Chocolate chip cookie was good but it reminded me of the levain one and I like the levain one more so this didnt really meet expectations. Store is super cute and they have incredible sugar cookies. They are so expensive but the designs are so cool. Would definitely recommend.

Great spot. It's fun to check in on their sugar cookie designs. But the best cookies are in the back case. The chocolate chip cookie is to die for, but for a real treat- get the crispy mallow crunch.

Excellent cookies! Great service and cute ambiance.... Not a large inside but big enough to sit and relax and have a delicious cookie! Sooo much variety here! I love how soft they are! I come here everytime I'm in the area

The seasonal flavors caught my attention, but the classic Chocolate Chip and Cookies & Cream were my favorite. They were warm, and the Cookies & Cream tasted like the inside of a hot Fried Oreo. The Chocolate Chip has a familiar nostalgic taste that reminds me of my childhood, but I can't place what it reminds me of. The two seasonal flavors I tried were good but didn't stand out to me against the two classic flavors. In the evening, the bakery wasn't as busy, so I was in and out. I was offered a sample of a seasonal fall flavor, and it was nice getting to try it. The bakery was clean and cute.

    The picture ops.

What a unique place. Cookies are to die for. Chocolate chip is ooey gooey goodness that makes a mess in your hands but worth every bite. Would love to try the cake sometime. Service was fast and efficient. And I love the little purple couch for pictures. Fun place in a nice area. Was a little hot inside when we were there in Spring but didn't affect the experience.

Don't often find myself in the area so I thought I'd pop in when I was walking near the water. I was offered a sample to try which was a nice added touch. Service was friendly! I immediately had my eyes on the big cookies Funny Face offers. And wowza, the previous reviews on the smores cookie are absolutely correct. Don't skip this one! Their big cookies totally rival Chip City/Levain type cookies. Honestly, the beautifully piped/designed sugar cookies are funny and look amazing, but I could not fathom spending $10+ on a sugar cookie. Easy skip for me! But next time I find myself in the area I would absolutely come back for that smores cookie. Dare I say, it actually blows their competitors' smores cookies out of the water.

Honestly not what I expected when I walked in; was completely shocked at the smell and the amount of variety. The cookies were delicious so soft and crunchy at the same time and you could definitely taste the quality of the ingredients used.

I can't stop thinking about the s'mores cookie. The chocolate chip was great, too but that s'mores.... is something special. The decorated cookies are fun and would make great gifts, however I don't know how they taste. Will have to go back!

Their cookie selection is pretty cool, including so many character design cookies. However, they are very well known for the Chocolate Chip cookie. I was very underwhelmed by it. Very big cookie, but overall pretty dry. Wouldn't return.

There was a bit of a line, but it moved pretty quickly. I am boring, so I just ordered the plain vanilla cupcake, but it was just perfect. It was fresh and the cake itself was wonderful. We had a big party--everyone was happy, but particularly happy with the cookie dough and red velvet. Definitely worth a visit.

So there is a lot to unpack from my visit to SoHo to pick up a cake from my sister. I woke up at…read more5pm and headed straight here from Queens and chose this place over 4 others close by in the area. I hadn't been here in years so when I pulled up I took a step back to take it all in, the cutesy interior which was clean and not too brightly lit. I checked out the cake prices and flavors and when I was sure of what I wanted I stepped up to the counter and began to take pictures bc there were like 4 attendants and I waited for one to engage with me. A young man did he said are you ready to order I said yes and told him I wanted a strawberry shortcake slice $10 and a Brooklyn black out slice (also $10 and the actual reason I came). When he was boxing I took pictures and thought oh maybe I should switch to the hostess slice (out loud). Another attendant said sure, but then the first one pulled up with the boxes and I was like ok I'll just get a cupcake separate. Why I walk back to the cupcakes to choose and the young man starts helping someone new and I look him in the eye he then rushes over but again starts taking another customer. They were 3 customers in the store in total including me so why he didn't want to provide me service I do not know. But it made me so upset I was like wow am I really gonna spend this much money and this guy is being rude. I had to now get in line behind the 2 other patrons that came in after me. The attendant who rung me up tried to empathize and offered me a free $1 candle- it came from a cup of candle in front of the register and when he placed it on top of the box it rolled onto the counter and I said how many ppl touched that?? It's going in a cake someone is going to eat. I declined the candle, paid and probably will never return. Strawberry shortcake slice was a 6/10 tasted old Hostess cupcake 10/10 I inhaled it no crumbs Brooklyn blackout cake 15/10 moist, thick chocolate perfect. Now I'll tell you right now the birthday cake I got my sister was worth the $25 and change I paid for it. She liked it, I liked it, it made her happy- but the service made me frown I really didn't like it. Total rating 3.5

Okay I was cracking up about my experience here because I literally asked the dumbest question to…read morethe guy working but he was so nice and explained the answer to me until I understood! So fun fact they are now advertising Banana Pudding Hot Chocolate and it is NOT actual hot chocolate but banana pudding made to taste like hot chocolate. Why I got so confused? I don't know! Maybe I have been watching too many videos about Tyra Banks Hot Ice Cream. Either way I appreciate the guys patience and kindness when explaining it to me twice especially because I did not end up ordering that at all (though it sounds interesting) but I did get the regular actual hot chocolate and it was amazing! It tasted like melted marshmallows were in it! Perfect for a cold winter day. In addition we got to the humming bird cake, a cupcake, and the regular banana pudding. My husband had never been here before so you know we had to get the banana pudding, it's their claim to fame. And it is decent. Growing up in North Carolina banana pudding is taken very seriously and is literally at every gathering. Would this be a contender for the cookout? Sure! I have no complaints about. The other baked items were delicious as well. The store is cute unfortunately this location has no indoor seating but plenty of outdoor. It was like negative degrees when we went so we definitely did not sit outside. All and all it's a cute bakery/ sweets shop. There are many locations through out the city. I've been to others and it is consistent. It's definitely not a bad dessert spot to try.

Another employee, Kirk--an older gentleman who looked completely out of place--approached and coughed directly over the slice of cake that had just been cut for me. Yes. Over it. At that moment, I honestly wondered if it was intentional. A young woman nearby immediately caught my reaction and went to the back to replace the slice. She handled the situation professionally and deserves recognition. Unfortunately, the chaos continued. Kirk later made me a hot cocoa, and when I went to drink it, it spilled on me because the lid wasn't secured properly. At that point, I stopped believing in coincidences. And the cake? The German chocolate cake was terrible--dry AF and nothing like the Grand Central location. Not even remotely close. Between the coughing, the spill, and the subpar cake, this visit was uncomfortable, messy, and disappointing. Magnolia should seriously reconsider who they put on the floor and retrain accordingly--because this location is not living up to the brand. But honestly, I believe the 2 guys had to be the owners. While I'm not the biggest cupcake fan, they have a nice selection of cakes, bars, and other things for pretty reasonable prices, especially in Midtown. The staff are also friendly. The most recent time, I got a Ube Buttercake Bar for $4.25, or something very similar. As per the name, it is made with ube, or purple yam, and it has a slight purplish hue. It was just a bit rich, had a soft texture inside, and had a very mild ube flavor with a bit of vanilla. The dessert was decent, but not strong enough of a ube flavor for me to buy it again. Much better was the Brookie I got the first time for $4.50 or so, listed as a blend of their Ooey Gooey Chocolate Chip Cookie Bar and Fudge Brownie. I was happy that the chocolate chip part was dark chocolate, and it wasn't overly sweet. Otherwise, it had a nice mix of textures, with some soft and crunchier parts. I liked it a lot more. The prices here are decent enough, and the quality isn't that bad. It's not a place I would go out of my way to go to, but it's nice to be nearby if I want to pick up a snack or something similar. I would probably try a slice of cake, or another bar such as their lemon or dream, next time.
