The cookies are so good. The new cookie cake is incredible. So hot and chocolatey. It's thick! My mom likes the sprinkles and I like the chocolate chip and double chocolate chip. They have really cute themed cookies as well. I like seeing the new ones each month.
Wow! I finally tried Funny Face! It's delectable and worthy of the hype! The cookies n cream is sooooo good. So buttery. Huge cookies. If you're a fan of levain's, this might beat it! Not the friendliest warmest service. Felt like I was bothering the being the only client inside.
I have been here more times than I can count. This time I couldn't control myself and ordered 5 cookies ($34). I ordered the chocolate chip, cookies n cream, s'mores, Bailey's Hot Cocoa, and the crispy mallow. The s'mores and crispy mallow were pretty similar, but the crispy mallow was much chewier. S'mores has been one of my favorites for years, but I think the crispy mallow just creeped ahead by a little bit on the favorites list. I love coming in to try the seasonal cookies, but I was disappointed by the Baileys Hot Cocoa cookie. It was heavy on the baileys and light on the everything else. The baileys flavor was intensely overwhelming. I couldn't eat more than 1 bite unfortunately. Service was quick and friendly as always! I love walking around the bakery and looking at the beautifully decorated cookies.
This place is absolutely dangerous for my wallet b/c I think these cookies are top notch. Anything with s'mores or marshmallows- I am signing up! The s'mores cookie was great and I am not embarrassed to say that I demolished this before I arrived to the bus stop. The cookie was warm and the marshmallow pull was prime the Golden Grahams also was a great touch I had the cookies and crème the following day (need to space out the flavor) , had it in the microwave for 30 sec and it was also solid, very generous with the white chocolate chips.

There's a level of attention and kindness that you don't see often, and it makes every visit feel genuinely appreciated. Karlo truly has the best customer service ever, and it's a big part of why I keep coming back. If you love great cookies and even better service, this place never disappoints. Enjoy the pricy, but delicious cookies! The place is so cute and adorable! As soon as you walk in, the smell takes you to another dimension...and you become, Cookie Monster! Yum! Yum! Yum!
Based off of the s'mores cookie that traveled from NY to Seattle and then in to my belly. The cookie held up really well, super crispy edges thanks to the golden graham coating, soft gooey chocolate center, marshmallows...yum. Every bite was good. I found the center a smidge too gooey but that's a personal thing, it wasn't so gooey that it would fall apart in my hands like some places. Cookie isn't too sweet and has great texture. I think the only thing that could "maybe" make it better would be if the marshmallow top had been lightly torched for the fire/toasted feel. Overall, one of the best s'mores cookies I've had and can easily say I found my new favorite NY cookie- especially since city cakes closed. Tried the shortbread and it was fine, had a hint of lemon. Put the s'mores cookie in the freezer! Eating it semi frozen was incredible. A totally different experience...probably one of thr best cookies I've ever had in my life.

Great spot. It's fun to check in on their sugar cookie designs. But the best cookies are in the back case. The chocolate chip cookie is to die for, but for a real treat- get the crispy mallow crunch.

The seasonal flavors caught my attention, but the classic Chocolate Chip and Cookies & Cream were my favorite. They were warm, and the Cookies & Cream tasted like the inside of a hot Fried Oreo. The Chocolate Chip has a familiar nostalgic taste that reminds me of my childhood, but I can't place what it reminds me of. The two seasonal flavors I tried were good but didn't stand out to me against the two classic flavors. In the evening, the bakery wasn't as busy, so I was in and out. I was offered a sample of a seasonal fall flavor, and it was nice getting to try it. The bakery was clean and cute.

Service was fast and efficient. And I love the little purple couch for pictures. Fun place in a nice area. Was a little hot inside when we were there in Spring but didn't affect the experience.
Their cookie selection is pretty cool, including so many character design cookies. However, they are very well known for the Chocolate Chip cookie. I was very underwhelmed by it. Very big cookie, but overall pretty dry. Wouldn't return.

I immediately had my eyes on the big cookies Funny Face offers. And wowza, the previous reviews on the smores cookie are absolutely correct. Don't skip this one! Their big cookies totally rival Chip City/Levain type cookies. Honestly, the beautifully piped/designed sugar cookies are funny and look amazing, but I could not fathom spending $10+ on a sugar cookie. Easy skip for me! But next time I find myself in the area I would absolutely come back for that smores cookie. Dare I say, it actually blows their competitors' smores cookies out of the water.

I was in search of a sweet treat and decided to try Funny Face Bakery. Funny Face Bakery specializes in personalized cookies as well as classic flavors like chocolate chip, sprinkle, cookies and cream, and Crumbfetti. Since it was just me, I ordered the four-pack of mini cookies for $8.00 and a black and white cookie. The four-pack included chocolate chip, cookies and cream, sprinkle, and Crumbfetti. You can choose whichever flavors you want, so you can get all chocolate chip or mix and match from those available flavors. The chocolate chip cookie was my favorite! It was warm and delicious. I also love black and white cookies, and this one didn't disappoint. I especially enjoyed the chocolate side of the cookie. Overall, I would definitely order this combination again. read more

These cookies rival Levain!!!! I walked into the shop and was hit in the face with the most amazing buttery vanilla cookie smell. I wish they could make that smell into a home spray. The staff working there was so nice! The cookies are ridiculously good. The cookies n crème was my favorite due to the cocoa base and it just was everything and more. The s'mores cookie was gooey, crunchy and oozing with chocolate, the Golden Grahams cereal for the graham cracker flavor was a genius touch. The chocolate chip cookie was amazing and it had two different type of chocolate chips in it from what I could tell and definitely rivaled Levain's I think I liked it more too because it didn't have walnuts. The rainbow confetti was a birthday cake in a cookie! The everything cookie was the least delicious cookie as I honestly took a bite and thought this cookie is flavorless and for a cookie with so many flavors I should have been hit with something exciting. Regardless though all the cookies were gooey with a crunchy exterior and I am here for it. People come to this bakery for their picture cookies which are almost $13, but let me tell you skip those for something you won't feel guilty about destroying because when you want a cookie you WANT a cookie! I found out they ship their cookies so will definitely be doing that in the near future so I don't have to wait to visit a shop to have them again! Highly recommend. read more

Honestly not what I expected when I walked in; was completely shocked at the smell and the amount of variety. The cookies were delicious so soft and crunchy at the same time and you could definitely taste the quality of the ingredients used. read more
I can't stop thinking about the s'mores cookie. The chocolate chip was great, too but that s'mores.... is something special. The decorated cookies are fun and would make great gifts, however I don't know how they taste. Will have to go back! read more
I have been dying to go to this place ever since I moved to the city and I'm so happy I finally got to go. The chocolate chip cookie is one of the best in the city. I definitely want to try their other flavors. My only complaint is that you cannot order the sugar cookies in store, which was sort of disappointing. Despite that, I really loved how fun the store was and how amazing their cookies are. read more
Such a cute spot with great music. The cookies are pretty funny and current with what's going on now such as wicked a few weeks after release and stuff for the holidays. The surprise was the pumpkin vanilla sugar cookie that melted in my mouth. They have small seating available but is more of a grab and go type of environment. read more
ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED. MY FAVORITE COOKIES IN NYC!!!!! Funny Face can do no wrong. I think everyone associates them with the really decorated / designed sugar cookies (which are super impressive), but the thick, gooey cookies are what the obsession is all about!!! I have been here so many times and have never been disappointed. The cookies have always been served WARM, with slightly a crispy exterior and super gooey interior. I've introduced these cookies to so many people, and everyone has always loved them!! The chocolate chip & crumbfetti are my go-tos! I usually get the full size, but the minis are great, too. We stopped by Funny Face Bakery and tried the chocolate chip cookies and cookie dough--absolutely incredible! The cookies were perfectly crispy on the outside and gooey, soft, and warm on the inside. The decorated cookies here are truly works of art. The attention to detail to each of these cookies is amazing. Cannot speak for the taste, but they look absolutely fantastic. The shop is super cute as well- very spacious and everything is purple! We tried the s'mores cookie, and it was really good. My only qualm is that, for $6.50, the cookie wasn't heated up. For that price, I would expect the cookie to be warm and perfect. read more

Yeah, the cookies have funny faces but the 6-ounce ones are seriously worth considering. I would even say, they are on par with Levain cookies. Personal favourite is the chocolate chip cookies. They now come in four smaller ones in a pack. But if you want to debauch, grab the 6 oz ones and commit the sweet sin. I have. They do bode well with a cup of hot tea or coffee. Or for extra richness, a cup of milk. We frequent the South Seaport location for there were other things to check out there and being next to McNally Jackson Bookstore was a plus for us. I will definitely check out the one in Lafayette for its cuteness. read more
Funny Face Bakery says they make NYC's best chocolate chip cookie, and I thought they lived up to the hype! While there, I couldn't help but order the s'mores cookie too. The chocolate chip had an almost cookie dough like soft chocolatey center while still being crispy on the outside. The amount of sweetness was just right. Next, the unique s'mores cookie was flavor and texture packed with a perfectly chewy chocolatey center, crunchy graham crackers, and gooey toasted marshmallows. Both are a great option for a large, fresh, gooey cookie! read more

Funny Face Bakery is such a cute bake shop known for its cookies! For my dietary restriction folks, there is only one type of cookie available which is the vegan gluten-free chocolate chip cookie. The cookie itself has a really thick inside with a gooey texture and tons of chocolate chips. I think it's a great quality cookie! I do wish some of the decorated cookies were vegan, but I know it's probably difficult to make. It's still really cool to see all of them in store!! I do think the chocolate chip cookies are a bit expensive since they don't have any special designs, but they're overall tasty! The service is super quick since you just select your cookie and go. I also love the location because I can pick a cookie up and enjoy it by the pier. Overall, super cute business and can't wait to return :) read more

Funny Face Cookies had a Popup party in my residential community. I thought since it was a holiday event the cookies would have faces like Santa and be decorated with a lot of sweet candy toppings. I sure was surprised to see big thick delicious cookies all individually wrapped. They had the chocolate chip and Funfetti. My daughter was at work so I texted photos. I took home two chocolate chip cookies one for each of us. The cookies are so big I decided to have mine for breakfast. I heated it up in the toaster oven and I had the most heavenly breakfast during the holiday season. The chocolate chip cookie is not disgusting sweet. With delicious chocolate chips and cookie taste it comes in my top two favorite cookies after LeVains. Naturally my daughter was surprised to see her cookie. She said it was excellent and had small pieces daily. I don't have the will power! Run to your nearest Funny Face bakery and get the chocolate chip cookie!! read more

Okay yes, I agree - the BEST chocolate chip cookie I've had in a while. It was even good the next day. The Chocolate Chip cookie has a very thick consistency, moist, and rich in chocolates (the chocolates are more on the sweeter side, so I'd say semi-sweet milk chocolate lol). We did also get the Drake sugar cookie - taste wise, it's alright just a normal sugar / shortbread cookie. I think it deserves attention for how intricate and detailed the picture of Drake turned out on the cookie. Of note, they have a huge selection of fun, quirky sugar cookies. read more

I usually go to IPIC across from Funny Face Bakery, and typically visit after 8 PM, so this bakery has always been closed by then. However, I had an earlier booking recently and finally noticed this bakery. The decor outside was so pretty, I had to go in! Once inside, I was greeted with great music and a spacious layout. They didn't have all their cookies on display, but it was still a cool place to take photos. I was curious to try some cookies, and the cashier was super nice. She asked if I was looking for something in particular, and I asked which cookies were soft and which were hard. She explained that the hard cookies are the ones with designs of celebrities or dogs, while the soft ones are just regular cookies. I also asked if the display cookies were the ones I'd receive, and she reassured me that the cookies are baked fresh in the back. I ended up buying mini cookies and was really impressed with how cute the store was--it's definitely Instagram-worthy! There were people coming in and out, and I even asked if there was another location since I hadn't noticed this one before despite going to IPIC every week. The cashier mentioned there's another store in Manhattan, and that this location has been open for over three years, which really surprised me! We took the cookies to the movie theater to enjoy, but unfortunately, they weren't fresh--they were hard, not soft as I had hoped. I had specifically asked if they would be soft, and the cashier said yes, so it was disappointing. I came closer to closing time, so maybe the cookies were fresh in the morning but had become stale by night. I'd love to give the bakery another try and plan to visit earlier next time. They also offer custom cookies, which would be adorable for a birthday party or gift. Overall, I recommend stopping by earlier in the day to get the freshest cookies. I really hope to try them again when they're softer, because the ones we had were too hard to finish. read more
