Xiao long bao (5/5): We tried the pork and the pork & crab meat ones and both were delicious! Both the soup inside the dumplings and the filling were savory and flavorful. Pan fried pork buns (5/5): The flavor was also great and the inside had a bit of soup/juice. I enjoyed the crispiness of the bottom; the rest of the bun was soft. Jianbing guo zi with crisps (2/5): I wasn't a major fan of this version of the dish, it was mostly egg and fried crisps. I felt that the flavor profile could've been more complex. Green onion pancake (4/5): Thin, flavorful, crispy. Slightly on the greasier end, and I personally would've preferred more scallions. Pork wontons in chili sauce (3/5): The wonton itself was decent, but the sauce could've been stronger and spicier to add to the taste. Hot & sour glass noodles (4/5): Good flavor! I usually love Dough Zone but just had a terrible experience. We ordered the Dan Dan Noodles and when tasting them they had a soap/bleach taste to them. We told our server who said that was "just the nutmeg". After taking another bite, that was not just the nutmeg; the noodles were either rancid or something went wrong in how they prepared the dish (eg there was still soap in the cookware). After hearing good reviews about the food, me and my family wanted to see if we could pop in. However, we decided to take our business somewhere else after the unprofessional service. The online waitlist/QR code didn't have an option for my party of nine, so I asked the host if they could accommodate a larger party. He proceeds to ask another employee if they can take us and the other scoffs. I stood there thinking they had added me to the queue or were setting a table up. But to my surprise nothing was being done and I was ignored. I finally asked if I was added to the queue because they didn't even ask for my information and I was told again by the employee that scoffed at me to join the waitlist per the QR code. I told him I spoke to his friend and explained that their site didn't have the option for a party of 9. I'm usually not one to complain, but the fact that we didn't even get sat and I got attitude as my first impression is ridiculous. I've worked in the restaurant/service industry and I understand how frustrating it can be especially on a holiday, but you shouldn't be working in this industry if you make a big deal out of larger parties. What a strange place. We got a table, and no one mentions anything about how to order. We were given one menu for a table of four, and a slip with no institution that we needed to write out our own order. After we filled out the slip, one person got an order of rice, but no one else got anything. A little while longer another person got their order but again no one else and no drinks for anyone. After awhile the rest came out with no drinks still. No staff came by to check on us and finally after we are almost done eating they brought out the drinks, left it on the table and walked away. Hands down one of my family's favorite places to eat! The inside of the restaurant is decorated with bamboo steam with a cute modern lighting. For as busy as the restaurant is on the weekend, service has always been top notched and our drinks are always filled. Our favorite dishes are the sweet and sour cucumber salad, the pork xiao long bao( soup dumpling), they have varies kind, such as pork, pork and crab meat and chicken. The pan fried dumpling is also one of my favorite. The food here was delicious, the kitchen and servers got the food out to us quickly even with the packed restaurant during the weekend.
