Garlic Bread with Truffle Oil
Alex H.

Such a hidden gem tucked away in a strip center. They make their pasta fresh onsite and they cook it to perfection. Service is so friendly, helpful, and honest. I had the best spaghetti carbonara I've had in the Austin metro area, no cream or peas like so many places put in it for whatever reason. The pizza was great, with great tomato sauce and quality mozzarella cheese. You can tell this place doesn't take shortcuts in their ingredients, and the quality of them shines through.

It's been a while that I have gone to eat here. It was newly opened up and my love for Italian food made me wanna try it. So I stopped it for lunch one day and ordered one of my favorites. Spaghetti Bolognese. There's not a lot of seating there. Table and chairs are pretty ordinary. Where I sat I had a full view of the kitchen. I don't think they hired all their wait staff yet because I was waited on by someone from the kitchen. Besides the meal, I ordered an iced tea. It didn't take too long for the food to be served. I wasn't sure if this was a good thing or bad because supposedly the pasta is handmade. It was brought to me and my first thought was how small the portion was. But then I figured I would have no leftovers so no big deal. I took my first flight and it was absolutely delicious. The pasta was cooked just right not too mushy not too well Al denta. And the Bolognese sauce was so meaty. I have to mention that because most places don't make a good Bolognese sauce. This tasted exactly like the kind I make it home, which is thanks to Anne Burrell's recipe. I finished the whole bowl. Here's the downside. That bowl cost me $20. There was no salad nor bread served with this lunch. Just a small bowl of pasta. I know prices have gone up, but that was ridiculous. I'm glad I came and tried it. It was good but it'll be a long time before I go there again because of the pricing.

Delicious, authentic Italian food! The homemade pasta and sandwiches are fantastic, and the friendly staff, cozy ambiance, and great selection of Italian music make the experience even better. It reminds me of the Italian spots in the Northeast, where generations of Italian immigrants have brought wonderful food and traditions to their communities. Cedar Park is lucky to have a place like this. Highly recommend!

Wow, what a treat to have a real Italian spot pop up in our neighborhood. The dining area is charming and clean and the service is friendly and helpful (including when I screwed up at checkout and they had to cancel/re-run the ticket!) The pizza and pasta are legit, with handmade noodles and wood oven fired crusts. The Bosco pizza was outstanding! The portions are large so be prepared to pay for what would normally feed at least 1.5 people. It's high quality but much cheaper than fine dining. Looking forward to adding this to the rotation.

First of all, I love supporting small local businesses and this place definitely hits the spot. The owner I believe is Italian and was so personable. They serve fresh handmade pasta as we were looking for a place similar to Patrizi but closer up north. And Dough it Up definitely hit the spot in terms of a place that is serving handmade pasta that is very well done. You start by ordering at the counter and you can choose which type of pasta and which type of sauce you would like. You can definitely modify the menu to what suits you for example I wanted pasta with tomato sauce, but did not want vegan cheese and they were able to adjust so that I could have handmade fettuccine with tomato sauce and real Parmesan cheese. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. The sauce had a right balance of acidity and sweetness from the basil. The potion size was just right. The tiramisu was also very good as it was not too watery with espresso, even though I did not think it needed the chocolate sauce. The texture of the tiramisu was perfect. My husband got the Bolognese and enjoyed it as well though he thought the Bolognese in bologna was better, but does that surprise anyone? No you can't beat wherever the dish originated from. Can't wait to go back to try more pasta, dishes, and curious to know how the pizza is. Parking is free as it is in a strip mall. Restaurant is on the smaller side so wouldn't recommend it for groups larger than 6.

We happened to find Dough It Up while doing a quick search of what to eat close to Lakeline Park, and what a fortuitous find! We went around 5 PM with just a few other diners around us, but by the time we finished eating the place was packed! So, if you want to beat the rush, come early! Ordering is done at the counter, and then you find your seat and the food is brought to you. I actually sat down first, but the server was nice and walked up to me, explained the process, and provided a menu as well as shared some recommendations. We started with the Real Greek Salad, which was very refreshing and helped provide balance to the carbs but a bit pricy. For appetizers we ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana which for a vegan dish was very impressive as the eggplant was so meaty and the sauce was super delicious, this was actually my favorite thing I had here. For pastas, we ordered the Carbonara which was super creamy and rich. We ordered the red pasta with tomato and basil, and the best part of the dish were the meatballs which were the most tender I've had. All the pasta was cooked more al dente, so definitely a bit chewier but resembled that of what I had in Italy! The Homemade Lasagna was full of deliciously tender layers of pasta, meat, and cheese, also a winner. The things that I'd probably pass on would be the fries and ordering extra focaccia as the bread was a bit dense for me liking...but then again I am no expert. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with this meal. We actually talked to the owner who is originally from Italy, and you can tell she really cooks with her heart and taste it in her food. I can't wait to try more of their dishes, especially the pizza as we saw a lot of people picking up pizzas and saw their legit looking pizza oven!

OMG! If I could live next door to this place just to eat here every day I would! The pasta is so fresh! The mushrooms on my Chicken, Mushroom, Mascarpone pasta were cooked to perfection as well as the chicken it was seasoned and juicy! We also got a pizza half cheese and half pep. The boys ate the entire this down to the crust! We collectively give this place a 10/10

Garlic bread + fries

Solid spot that just opened up in the CP Lakeline area for Italian food that nona would approve of! The sweetest owners and crew were very helpful in assisting with our order taking. Dough it up's space is a little cozy and can be a tight fit at peak dinner hours, advise coming early because by the time we finished our meal, folks were hunting down our table and bussing up the dishes we left. You order at counter and then pick a table to sit at after, which I noticed there were several people who were confused and waiting for someone to greet them, but then realized this spot was counter service. The prices are a bit higher than we anticipated but we recognize the labor and effort in terms of quality of dishes and agree that it justifies the costs. We loved the pastas, cooked perfectly. I didn't really feel we should've gotten the garlic bread and fries, and the extra bread we paid for with our pasta dish, made me regret my picks so wish the staff had talked us out of this as this was too much bread for our meal. We enjoyed our meal, and are looking forward to returning for the next time we get to try their pizza :)

Chicken pesto with fettuccini

Run, don't walk! This place is seriously amazing! This was honestly our second attempt at eating here because the first time we came by a few weeks ago they were packed with a line out the door and standing room only. Know we know why. This was a great date night spot, but we also saw families sharing meals around large tables. Which were honestly really nice - big table = plenty of room for all the deliciousness they're going to bring you. Fresh pasta in a variety of sauces that were great. I ordered the fettuccini with their chicken pesto, and my hubby got the carbonara with their spaghetti at the recommendation of one of their employees. They did not disappoint. The pesto was rich, the chicken was tender, and the fettuccini was perfectly cooked. The spaghetti was a little more toothsome than what we had imagined, putting it probably just shy of the line of al dente - so maybe that could have cooked a few seconds longer. I didn't mind though! Both dishes were very yummy. My hubby commented that he would have like some Parmesan at the table, but we also never asked for extra, so that's on us. We also ordered a cheese pizza because when we walked in we smelled a pizza that had just arrived at a nearby table and it looked amazing! It was. We said we were going to take some home for our kids...but it didn't make it. We did have some leftovers, and I'm looking forward to a second serving of the tender chicken and creamy pesto with fettuccini. I didn't mind ordering at the counter, and felt like we waited an appropriate amount of time for our food. I'm excited to come back and try more things - I even unabashedly asked other tables what they ordered because everything looked so good. Do yourself a favor and get in here!!

Amazing counter service. Our menu items came out at different times. No big deal because it was busy at lunch. Amazing fettuccine! Damn good pizza. Meatballs! Cute and cozy atmosphere. Fresh Parmesan or Romano would be a great addition. I'll be back in a few weeks.

Finally tried this restaurant. They have 1/2 price wines on Tuesdays. We shared the chicken pesto fettuccini. Large portions and very shareable. Definitely recommend!

Everything was fresh and delicious! I really enjoyed the salad and added chicken. The pizzas were also yummy. Great service, kind staff. Definitely want to return to try the pasta. I love that they also have gluten free options. The restaurant is quaint and clean. It's a smaller space but they have it organized well.

Italian casual restaurant with homemade pasta. Thick noodles with unique homemade style and fresh. Gnocchi was very delicious . If you like gnocchi definitely recommend trying it. The restaurant is small but the staff and vibe is amazing. They have the small family restaurant love built into a casual theme. We will definitely be back

Like I ate it, and it felt very "yep I just food" and felt like something I could make myself. I would say this is a good spot to visit when you're just craving some quick Italian dishes, especially because the pricing is really decent. But it's not necessarily a spot I would bring others to. I did really like the complimentary bread though. The outside texture kind of reminded me of a pretzel. But the inside was really doughy and soft. The bruschetta balsamico was good too. I've never had it with artichokes though! It wasn't a bad addition, but I kept thinking it was chicken because we didn't really have any protein besides cheese. And then every time I bit into it, I would remember that it was artichoke. But I really liked the arugula salad underneath. We also got the pasta combo with tomato sauce and melted mozzarella, thinking everything would be sectioned off with its own melted cheese on top, and we'd be able to try a little bit of each type. So we were kind of surprised when it all came in one pile, and everything was completely covered in cheese. But I liked the red sauce a lot because it was on the sweeter side. It also came with Caesar salad which I liked, since the pasta was heavy.

Mindful of the need to eat, I spied a trailer, Patrizi's across the street. I rarely utilize trailers, I know being an Austinite, what the heck? The reasons are for another day. I was delighted with the meal. Last week, my colleagues choose Patrizi's brick and mortar for lunch after our morning meeting. It wasn't my choice, mainly because I had no idea there was a brick and mortar option and for lunch no less. Off the 10 of us went, we had a reservation as well. Down a winding road we came across the location which had an ample parking lot for visitors. The layout is order at the counter, grab a number and find a place to chill. They have a full bar on another side from the order counter. I went with something simple and not massive. A beet salad with a small Cacio e pepe pasta. I love beets and it's a Scandinavian thing, probably from my DNA, being born and raised overseas. The dish itself was delicious to look at as well as to munch on. It was bright, creamy with the farm cheese and the beets were prepared perfectly. It brought back memories of my misguided youth. Cacio was equally prepared with care and texture. As with an alfredo, Cacio can get gummy. Not this time. I was truly impressed.. again. I really liked the service and wondered when we arrived how would they handle a large group like us with counter service. Things that worked well. Set expectations. The gal at the counter let us know they had one chef on this day, so the meal would take a little longer than usual. Fair enough. Secondly, she went through the sizes and how to order and how the meal was to be delivered to our tables. Once all of us had ordered, she went through all the items one by one to make sure everything was correct. So simple, why don't other places do this? We found a nice bench outside, covered with a tarp so not to get hot. It was a cool day, so we opted to be outside instead of the table they had set aside for us inside. The restaurant itself has indoor and outdoor seating and is larger than I would have expected. It's quirky inside, but I like the idea of keeping a tab at the bar for extra drinks and beverages. The wait for our order wasn't as long as we expected with our salads and stuff coming out first and then the pastas/pizzas arrived. They make their own pasta and it showed. Now I know they are here and not terribly far from our offices, I'm sure we will come by again. Top drawer experience all around.
