On a lazy Sunday we decided to try this Italian restaurant. They came out with pillow soft bread & olive oil dip. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. I got a glass of red wine and the Tuscany veggie combo, the fettuccine was not creamy but tasted good, the veggie lasagne was my least favorite of the three dishes, and the eggplant was superb and the red sauce on top was very tasty as well. My kids loved their kids meals and they were very big considering them coming off the kids menu! The restaurant was decorated beautifully, and felt like the perfect relaxed Italian dinner atmosphere. This is my spouse's favorite restaurant, and she loves their angel hair pesto with grilled chicken. Quality of service depends a little on how long the server has done the job. Tonight was a younger server, a little slower. The cleaner decor was put in a few years ago when it changed hands and improved. They were out of a new item, smoked lamb over rigatoni, and so I just went with classic lasagna which I hadn't had in quite a while. It had a lovely fennel bite. So disappointed after visiting this place for dinner . We went on a Tuesday evening, so was a slow day ! Got some bread which was good ! Ordered bowl of tomato soup which was also good . While the photos look amazing the flavor is lacking. I ordered chicken parm and a Cesar salad. For the cost the portions are large but the meat sauce left a weird after taste. Second time around, we came in for the Bean's birthday. Took advantage of their holiday menu. A packed lobby, we had reservations that got us seated early. Our your waitress was friendly and very personable. Water, Chardonnay, and cocktails began our evening. Bean had a lemon drop martini while I had their version of a Moscow mule, the Milan mule. The ambient lighting made for an intimate interaction with the wife. Appetizers were the fried shrimp and calamari with a house and Cesar salad Bean had the Tuscan combination which consisted of three different pastas: lasagna, chicken parm, and Alfredo. I had a ribeye cooked medium. The ribeye was cooked to perfection, superbly seasoned on a bed of fries with a side of vegetables. Dessert was Italian bread pudding and decadent chocolate cake. The bread pudding was delicious but portion size was significantly smaller than expected. The chocolate cake was generous but tasted like it was pulled out the fridge and may have had what some might call freezer burn. But the time and intimacy was well worth the trip. read more

Went for the first time for lunch today. The restaurant was not busy, one large party and our table of 4. The waitress was very friendly and the salad was a nice spring mix. I added blue cheese crumble that was a nice addition, but the italian dressing was bland. Our order did not come out all at once, which is unfortunate especially because we waited 10 to 15 minutes longer...and then I received something that wasn't what I ordered. I was going to be in the Cedar Park area and in the mood for pasta, so I came across Tuscano in my Yelp search. They had solid reviews and the fettuccini pescatore caught my eye. Service was good. Our server was tending to the whole restaurant and still made a point to ask if we needed anything a handful of times. One of the shareable plates at the table was dirty and our server was busy, but we just swiped one from the table next to ours. The food was good. I wish the pasta was cooked more al dente and that the clams weren't mostly closed. Other than that, it's a good option to have in Cedar Park. read more

Update 03-05-2024 After a couple of years, finally made our way back to Tuscano Italian Kitchen. Not sure what we have been thinking, it's just a bit out of the way for us and not top of mind... what a mistake! Re-visited Tuscano tonight for a wine pairing dinner with Flat Creek Estate Winery, also a first experience for us... the evening was delightful! The food was incredible, the wine was great! See the pic attached for the food/wine pairing for the evening... I like to write, but not through 5 courses! LOL Suffice it to say, the food paring were well done. Nice touch by Tuscano to provide a little bubbly up front! Al of the course were expertly paired with wines... food = wine ... spice = tannins ... all were well balanced. All in all, a very good show ... we plan to check out Flat Creek soon, Tuscano we'll be going back SOON! A great wine/dinner combo, highly recommend Tuscano Italian Kitchen and Flat Creek. My husband met a couple of friends at the restaurant on a Saturday night (*it said to make a reservation, which I did, but was not that crowded, and no was waiting at 7-8PM). Inside it looks like it wants to be a "fancy" restaurant with the cloth tablcloths and cloth napkins waiting for you upon arrival. But, it is a casual restaurant and in unassuming strip mall. My husband, and other men, I saw wore shorts, so can be comfortable. Our waitress was prompt in the beginning, and got us our waters while we viewed the menu. There were so many great options, hard to narrow it down. (*I always check out Yelp before I go, to see what others have had and liked,,and there were still many good options :) !) I ordered a Tom Collins, which I guess confused the bartender, as they told me when they brought me my drink (* I know everybody is ordering either a Nigroni or Expresso Martini's nowadays). My friends got wine and my husband got a Lemon drop martini. All said theirs was very good! Our waitress then took our order, and we did not get an appetizer, but all of us did order salads to start. They came out fairly quickly. But, then, the service shifted. Now, they did have a couple of busboys hovering the entire restaurant, and watched them and they did take away plates when people had left, and removed the cloth table cloths and put new on. They were very fast with that. They came by and took two of the salad plates. My friend and I finished out shortly after, even pushed them to the side, so they knew we were finished. They roamed the area by us, refilled waters and brought box for other tables, but never picked up our two plates. We did not see our waitress for awhile. We found out later, there was a big party in one of the side rooms she was taking care of. But, it was over 30 minutes from the time we finshed our salads until we got our dinner. This was a very long time! And, it was not that they were overly busy, as by 8:30 PM, in our area, there were a lot of empty tables. When we got our food, we asked if they could take our salad plates. They asked if we wanted more water and bread, which we did. We got the bread right away, and the busboy even commented he forgot we needed water too. Finally our waitress came out and brought water, and my friend and I asked for another drink. My husband's ribeye was excellent (he let me have a bite), and my friends enjoyed their meals. But, I had the short rib ravoli and it was half warm and half cold. I did not want to make a big deal in front of my friends, plus we did not see our waitress for awhile, so I ate it. It was good flavoring, for the 4 ravolis I got (more mushrooms then ravoli). We finally got our drinks as we were just finishing our meals. Our waitress comes back and was glad we got our drinks. I watched as she brought boxes to the 4 ladies sitting next to us and actually put their dinners in the boxes for them and gave them a dessert menu. One of friends waved down a busboy to ask for couple boxes. Now, my husband's plates was clear, and I just had some extra mushrooms on mine. He asked how many? My friend said "two" and he looked at table and was about to walk away and came back and said "4 boxes..2 big and coulple smalls"? We looked at him and pointed to my two friends, and said "Just two big ones". He brought them them and just handed them off and walked away. 5 min later, he asked if we wanted a bag. Then our waitress shows up and my friends said they wanted dessert "to go". Without even seeing a menu, they just assumed they had "Tiramasu". The busboy came back about 10 min later with if bagged up. Waited another 20 min before we saw waitress again to ask for our bill. Our waitress asked one of my friends "Oh, what did you have again?" 10 min later we got our bill. Now, almost 9:30, not that crowded. Only like 5 in our area had people seated. Now, the food was good, and saw many other options I would like to try. But, I just hope the service improves, as I want to come back. read more

We have been trying to find a new Italian place besides niks cafe and found this one. They had a special promotion for their anniversary on a Thursday and we figured its a good time to go check out. The service was good and their cocktails are really nice. Anuya started with IPA as usual and I got a blood orange martini and both were great. The true test of an italian restaurant lies in the complementary bread they server and tuscano does well here. The bread is simple but warm and flavorful and is served with nicely done olive oil herbs concoction. For the main course, both of us items from the Italian with Texas twist menu, Fettuccini laredo and the Italian enchiladas. Both dishes were flavorful but the enchiladas were too heavy with cream and cheese and the feeling after the dinner was not pleasant. The ambience is weird, the bar area is nicely done but the dining room feels like a collection of random stuff thrown together, I can live with it though. We might go back when we have a big appetite. read more

I visited Toscano kitchen on Saturday for the first time and it was definitely a spot I will revisit. From the beginning, our service was phenomenal and continue throughout the night. We stopped in for lunch at Tuscano Italian Kitchen after checking out their online menu and getting excited about the crab cakes and beef carpaccio. Unfortunately, neither of those items were actually available--despite still being listed on their website--which was the first of many letdowns. We ordered the Meatball Sliders, Prime Rib Crostini, Brie Crostini, and Brisket Bolognese. The food was completely bland and lacked any real flavor. The Prime Rib Crostini was so bad it was inedible, and even though we sent it back, it still showed up on the check. We had to wait around for a manager just to get it removed. The service was just as bad--our water glasses stayed empty the entire time, and our server was nowhere to be found. Between the misleading menu, poor service, and tasteless food, this was easily one of the worst lunch experiences we've had in Cedar Park. We won't be returning. read more

We always enjoyed our dinners when this was Ginos, especially when we discovered that our favorite barkeep Cole surfaced here after a long stint at Reales. If you frequented Ginos you will quickly recognize the fabulous renovations. Tuscano is now bright and upscale. Their menu includes some of the usual Italian fares but they also have some interesting or eclectic Texas - Eytetalian entrees such as Brisket Bolognese and Fettuccini Laredo. On this visit, we opted for the Shrimp Diavolo and their version of Frutti Di Mare. Both entrees were cooked perfectly. The fettuccini was served al dente, as it should be. Both of our dishes had more than enough shrimp and shellfish. Tuscano is a wonderful addition to the CP and if you are in the area you should give them a try. read more

This restaurant was a great find! First of all, the wait staff was great! They were Personable, gave our table a lot of attention and made the dining experience even better. The food was excellent! The Fettucini alla Alba was literally amazing! It was delicious! Sautéed onions prosciutto, mushrooms... fantastic. My husband and I shared the burrata caprese and it was perfect. I am sad to have to put this review but I just can't believe the service and quality of food we received. My son chose to come here for his 21st birthday after a long day of golfing. He was so excited to order his first drink, waitresses carded him, did the math, we let her know it was his birthday. Then when the bartender brought the drink, she was hesitant to give it to him and made a flippant comment about "my server didn't card you, did she?" And proceeded to card him again. Food finally came and my son tried to cut his baked ravioli.....it wouldn't cut so he decided to just take a bite....it was hard as a rock. We all tried to cut it and it wouldn't cut. My husband and daughter's pizza was not fully cooked on the bottom but we only wanted to complain about one thing so we chose the inedible ravioli. Waitress took it back and took his order for Alfredo, offered chicken too, and went and placed the order. At least 20 minutes later, we were done eating our pizza (my personal pizza was delicious!), we finally asked the waitress to make his order to go cause the birthday dinner was ruined at this point and he wanted to go home. We got our bill.....with his ravioli, fettuccine, and chicken all added. The waitress comped the ravioli after prompting but honestly couldn't they have comped the birthday boys meal when it was completely a bust?! We got home and he had 3 bites of chicken - not worth the $6 upcharge! She offered us the dessert menu too - glad we didn't take it cause we would have been charged for that too. I would have asked for the manager but after the waitress let us know that the reason our food was inedible is because it was microwaved, I just couldn't handle it. Who tells the customer that???? What a joke of an experience. Unfortunately we will never be back. This location has been at least 5 restaurants and it's safe to say it's jinxed. read more

We returned. There's a bit of irony in that. I've lived all over the country and this is not the kind of Italian restaurant I'm used to visiting. The Calamari doesn't include the tentacle bits. The dipping oil isn't olive oil. Nobody comes to the table to offer shaved parmesan or pecorino (I didn't ask for any, but they probably would have provided it upon request). But we came back because the food is delicious! I had the Fettucine Alla Alba this time. My wife had the Pescatore with marinara. Both were delectable! We shared a small Caesar salad. I requested the anchovies on the salad (I love anchovies). The service is excellent. And the portions are generous. Try this place for Italian food. You won't regret it. read more

Possibly the best italian food in Cedar Park! This was my first time trying this place. I couldn't decide between meat sauce or marinara sauce on the jumbo stuffed shells so I asked for 1/2 of each for the dish on my to-go order. I'm not sure if it was an accident or not but they gave me one full size dish of each! Now my fiance and I didn't have to share one meal. We loved it! Such creamy ricotta and both sauces were perfectly tangy and there was soo much cheese. We will be back! The inside felt upscale and intimate when I went to pick up my order so we may dine in next. The ambience was not so appealing as it mostly had banquet style table and chairs and had hardly any booths that provide a good blend of seating options. We went for 1/2 price bottle of wine special. Today I discovered that real fettuccini Alfredo has an angelic light sauce, rather than the wallpaper paste texture I'd always thought was normal. The eggplant parmigiana was another revelation: perfectly crisp coating (panko bread crumbs?) with exactly the right ratio of sauce to eggplant. Jordan's service was attentive but not overbearing. The chocolate cake was dense and rich. I imagine that dinner service is romantic and elegant and that reservations must be required. Are you coming from Buda? Waco? Went there for Mother's Day, had a reservation for 10 people. Before I made this reservation I spoke with the gentleman on the phone regarding the menu. We have several people in our party that do not eat meat. I was told after 2:00 there would be a regular menu. We get there for our 2:00 reservation and there's not a regular menu just brunch which had two items with no meat. We talked to the manager and they would not make an exception to order off the regular menu. Hostess said if we were gluten free we could. Should've just told them we were gluten free. Made zero sense so we left and don't plan on going back. They ruined what was supposed to be a nice Mother's Day lunch as we searched for other restaurants to take a large party. read more
