This 3rd generation establishment is tucked away where you likely wouldn't find it unless you are a local or from the Mayport military base. Louis the owner is a super nice person and greeted us all, as did the staff. Very welcoming and definitely a old timey, feel good neighborhood time, Not fancy, but nostalgic with live music on one side and a DJ set up on the other. Good prices and friendly folks.

The vibe is lively, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming they even surprised the table with a complimentary order of fried crab claws with garlic aioli that were absolutely delicious. For my main course, I had the trio fried platter with fish, scallops, and shrimp, accompanied by hush puppies, fries, and coleslaw. You can truly taste the freshness in every single bite; everything is locally caught by their own fishermen. Between the amazing food, top-notch service, and great atmosphere, this was a standout dining experience. Highly recommended!

Even if the restaurant is packed, you can usually get a spot at the bar to eat. And if you sit upstairs, you get a nice view out of the windows. They have different specials all the time, and on our last visit, they had fried crab claws with a yummy dipping sauce. On this last visit, we just had drinks and appetizers, but on previous visits, I've tried a lot of the fish dishes on the menu and have liked them all. They also have good hush puppies. Their mixed drinks are good as well. I can't remember the names of the two I tried (in the photos), but they were refreshing. My husband had an espresso martini, but instead of vodka, he had them make it with the O'Kahan Agave Mezcal Purple Heart, which is something you have to ask for. It's a different twist on the usual espresso martini. Overall, it's good food in a good spot right on the corner in the Beaches Town Center. Never been disappointed and have been eating there for years.

I loved how relaxing it was inside; it wasn't too loud, and since it's a smaller restaurant, it really felt like your server was able to give you that extra personal attention and make sure you were taken care of. Such a great experience all around. Definitely a 10/10!

I was a little incredulous that a former Sailor could run an Asian restaurant with such awesome ramen! Well, now I believe everything I heard. As a former sailor, upon entry I immediately fell in love with the Navy decor, pictures, and even the tables in the dining area had the seals of ships and other commands past and present on the table top art that gave a tremendous nostalgic feel to an old sea warrior like me! OK, I was a Chaps - I gave spiritual support to those warriors. Nevertheless, the ramen bowls here are a work of artistic beauty! I felt like I needed to stare at my meal for an hour before daring to touch it! On this day, we had the Bayou Ramen and the Traditional Ramen. The Bayou Ramen has a real Cajun spicing to it - unmistakable in every way. It has some heat to it, but not heavy - I'd say it was just about right for my taste. The shrimp and sausage in it were perfectly prepped - I could have taken some home but didn't - just couldn't stop eating this! It also included carrots, corn, a seasoned egg, scallions, ramen noodles in chicken bayou broth. If you like ramen of a Cajun variety, you'll love this! The traditional ramen bowl was pretty basic. You could have a choice of broth, but the basic version has little to no heat factor. It comes with roast pork, bok choy, carrots, corn, seasoned eggs, scallions, ramen noodles. I had the leftovers of this ramen bowl the next day and it was outstanding too! In addition, when you come here, you MUST get the fried chicken! It's among the best I've ever tasted. It's definitely bested KFC in my book! Anyone who wants to try a solid ramen restaurant which classic offerings and some creative versions of ramen, must visit Hangar Bay! I will add that the service we received as terrific! For a little while, I felt like I was eating on the mess deck again! I'll surely be back! Recommend: VERY HIGH!

As for the food? The berry salad was alright, but very light on the dressing- which made it slightly dry and the bitter arugula taste stand out. But my waitress did bring extra dressing so I ended up enjoying it. The Peaches & Cream fried green tomatoes were delicious- way more tomato than I expected in the best possible way! I feel like it should be named fried green tomatoes on the menu with the cheese and peaches left in the description. The Ahi tuna with ginger noodles was also fantastic! The noodles on the dish were actually the highlight of the whole meal. The only thing I felt really was not worth the money was the crab macaroni- which for $18 was a very basic velveeta adjacent mac with a very thin, crusty layer of shredded crab on top. In sum: the food is good, but it's definitely at a premium.
