Cute location, but way too loud. It was hard to hear each other. Steak was overcooked.

AB Kitchen had great service and yummy food This cute spot sits right in the heart of the Neptune Beach town center and I'm surprised how long it took me to try! We started with some wine flights and it was so fun to get to taste their offerings. The Brussel sprouts were AMAZING and I don't even like Brussel sprouts. I'd probably skip out on the steak next time and try the seafood instead as it was a bit underwhelming. Overall, will be coming back again!

Recently discovered another great place to dine when visiting Jax Beach. AB Kitchen is located just blocks from the beach and right in the middle of great shopping and dining options. The interior is extremely clean, almost industrial decor and lighting with accents of palm trees. Our server was extremely attentive and did a great job. We were there for lunch and used that menu so it was somewhat casual fare but they do a really great job of elevating these basics. My quesadilla was braised beef and it was excellent. Just amazing texture and taste. My wife had the Avacado bacon lettuce and tomato. She raved about it. The Beachside sour was also excellent. Refreshing, light the perfect summer drink. This area of the beaches has a ton of great places to eat. Make sure you make AB Kitchen one of them.

I can't believe I had never heard of this place. It is intimate but didn't feel too crowded but it was definitely busy, make a reservation! The Brussel sprouts were soo good, they have goat cheese and a Korean chili sauce and we cleared the plate. The grilled salmon was perfection and the Caesar salad was the best I have tried in a long time. My friend ordered the snow crab fried rice with an egg on top and she raved about it. Definitely a must try!

I came here for happy hour with one of my girlfriends and I was excited to try the spot and Neptune Beach. They have a really unique menu with small plates and savory entrées. They also have a nice drink selection and my waiter was so so friendly. The ambience in there is lovely and I like that. It's not too dark... This is a wonderful spot for happy hour and I'll be sure to go back and try a proper dinner!

A friend recommended this spot after one of our walks, mentioning it was a bit on the pricey side but the flavor would be worth it. She was absolutely right. I ordered the New Zealand lamb chops with broccolini, couscous, and a creamy yogurt sauce that tied everything together beautifully. Every bite was balanced and full of rich, bold flavor. My friend went with the soup and salad, and that soup? Packed with flavor and so comforting and delicious. From start to finish, the service was excellent. The hostess and our waiter were incredibly kind and knowledgeable. Our waiter took the time to explain each dish in thoughtful detail, which made the experience feel even more special. The atmosphere was calm, contemporary, and inviting. The perfect place to unwind and enjoy a truly good meal. I'll definitely be back, next time, with my husband!

    ABLT and Eggplant Humus. Delicious.

Super cute restaurant with an inviting menu that will satisfy the more adventurous diner as well as the not so adventurous diner. Service is excellent.

This is an absolutely charming spot that I found just by chance. We walked in early and it was empty and now it's absolutely packed. All three of the dishes we had were excellent and the atmosphere is great. I would highly recommend this place to anybody who's in the Jacksonville Beach area.

Simple calmed vibe for a birthday lunch

Took my friend here for her birthday lunch. We opted to order a few items to share. The deviled eggs were light and flavorful but a bit too salty. Ahi tuna a bit over cooked and very small pieces but tasty accoutrement. We asked for some chips to go with it. The rice bowl was quite wet and not much crab but decent flavor. The cocktails were great!!

Every time I come here, it's amazing. It's usually not crowded on Sundays around lunch time, even though both their brunch and lunch menus are available. The place looks really classy, but you still feel comfortable dressing casually for the beach. You can tell the food is made with a lot of heart as it's always more impressive than you could imagine. Depth of flavor done perfectly.

My wife invited me out to a Sunday Beach day at One Ocean hotel. We had to begin our day with some Brunch. We took a walk and ran into AB kitchen, this place is a sleeper. I ordered me Spicy Margarita to start it off. Then I got the AB breakfast, it was great, the eggs were scrambled hard with cheese, the grits topped it off!! The service was great as well. I definitely will be coming back. 5 stars

Awesome! Second time here and this time we tried the burger which my husband loved! More than good; it had some unique flare. And the mushroom flatbread was a complete lunch and terrific with fresh ingredients and toppings edge to edge.

Visited AB Kitchen with my fiance on Valentine's Day and we are so mad we didn't visit sooner. Incredible dinner! They were totally prepared for V-Day and we didn't feel squished or rushed at all. Just a really great and special dinner. We shared the Tahini Caesar: romaine, lemon tahini dressing, garlic olive oil breadcrumbs to start and it was huge! Great and unique salad. I had the Seared Scallop Red Curry: steamed spinach, jasmine rice, cilantro, lime, peanuts for dinner and it was everything I hoped for and more. I ate the whole thing! It was sweet, spicy, salty, and fresh. I loved it! And for only $27 - a steal! Huge fresh scallops!! My fiance got the Chimichurri Steak: whipped potatoes, roasted seasonal vegetables and LOVED it. He said it reminded him of the Argentinian steak we would get back home in Pittsburgh at one of our favorite restaurants. 5 star dinner. The ambiance is very beachy and coastal. It is not snobby even though the food quality is above and beyond. Great service! We will be back!

Quay was our personal server and I think he was our bartender too- although there was another person back and forth behind the bar. We added a little chaos to the mix with a handful of family who showed without rsvp-ing. Add in toddlers plus easily 15 people.... Yeah- mad respect for Quay!!! I admit to being sad that I couldn't get my broiled platter- that is my favorite Fish Camp dish, and apparently not available for lunch. I pivoted and got the steam pot for 2. For myself. And guess what- I ate all the crab, hmmm so happy! Laugh- it was hilarious, I was still cracking crab while everyone sung happy birthday! I was thrilled. I brought home most of the potatoes, corn and such- it even had mushrooms and broccoli! YUM! My old fashioned was also perfection in a glass. John had the shrimp and fish basket and loved every bite. Several raved about the shrimp and grits. Caron loved her mahi mahi. Connor got the Spicy Wild Caught Shrimp Linguine with White Wine, Garlic, Tomato, Pecorino and inhaled it! Even the kiddos were super happy with the kids chicken strips, although the kitchen delivered the first plate to the wrong toddler and the lovely parents didn't question how they got food without ordering and that little girl dug right in. Opposite end of the table- this grandma spoke up and we split the food so all the littles were fed. Considering our chaotic group, it went very well. I didn't hear a single complaint from our party. Hopefully we didn't drive the staff too crazy!

I used to absolutely love this place. It was our go-to for seafood, celebrations, family dinners,…read moreand special occasions for years. We recommended it constantly and genuinely enjoyed supporting them. Unfortunately, after our last few experiences, that loyalty is completely gone. The problems really started during a dinner visit with my spouse. We had a reservation for two and specifically requested a booth because my spouse has herniated discs and booths are much easier on her back. The hostess with glasses told us there were "no booths available for parties of two," so we were seated at a tiny two-top directly in front of an empty booth. Minutes later, another couple - who apparently didn't even have the correct downstairs reservation because Wheel House was closed for a private event - was seated in that exact booth instead. When I politely questioned it, I was told they were "accommodating them." Interesting, because apparently accommodating a medical issue for customers with a reservation didn't matter. Still, we decided to give the restaurant another chance for Mother's Day. To their credit, we were seated at a booth this time after I both noted it in the reservation and called ahead to confirm it. Our waiter was someone we immediately recognized from a previous visit, and my parents mentioned he had waited on us before at that same table. Somehow, from that comment alone, he became convinced we were related to Chef Tim Tillus. From there, things got bizarre. He kept talking about "Timmy," mentioning reunions and saying he used to live with him. The restaurant was extremely loud, and my father had forgotten his hearing aids that day, so honestly we could barely understand what he was talking about. We just smiled politely and focused on asking about the menu because we truly had no clue where the conversation was going. Eventually, he came back and realized we were NOT Chef Tim Tillus' family. He then explained that the kitchen staff had apparently been laughing because the chef saw us and said, "That's not my family." So somehow this became a whole ordeal in the kitchen over a completely innocent misunderstanding. We laughed awkwardly because what else do you do at that point? But honestly, the whole interaction felt strange and unprofessional. Unfortunately, the food was even worse than the awkward service. My spouse ordered the all-day seafood soup, and somehow there was basically ZERO seafood in it. That alone was shocking because their soups used to be incredible. My father ordered the broiled platter, and the portion size was honestly embarrassing for a $29 dish. His parsley potatoes consisted of literally five tiny cubes - my mother counted them because we were in disbelief. We have eaten here for years and NEVER saw portions this small. I ordered the fish special, and it was nothing like described. It was supposed to have pecans and blackening seasoning. There were no pecans, no blackening seasoning, and the fish itself was dry, bland, overcooked, and flavorless. For $32, I was served what looked like a tiny sad pile of fish in the middle of a giant empty plate. The pork chop looked beautiful but tasted absolutely awful. At this point I honestly don't know if the kitchen quality has completely collapsed or if nobody is checking food before it leaves the line anymore. Either way, it was terrible. My mother ordered scallops on the half shell as her meal - something she has enjoyed there many times before. This time, the scallops were tiny and somehow greasy. It was shocking these dishes were even leaving the kitchen. What makes this so disappointing is that we truly loved this restaurant. We weren't casual customers. We supported this place for years because we believed the food and experience were worth it. This wasn't just a mediocre meal or an "off night." This was a genuinely terrible dining experience from start to finish, made worse by the fact that it happened on Mother's Day. The service felt awkward and disorganized, the portions were insulting, the food quality was awful, and there seemed to be zero quality control happening anywhere. At this point, our money will be supporting other establishments instead. It's honestly sad because this place USED to be special. I sincerely hope management fixes the kitchen, consistency, and overall professionalism before even more longtime customers walk away.

We were able to choose if we wanted to be seated outside or inside so that was nice as well. We chose to be seated outside upstairs. I was a little nervous at first but it was cool, not too hot and I noticed they had fans that could be turned on if it was too hot outside. So that was nice. It was a chill night, not crowded at the top so everyone was able to just talk and we didnt have to yell to hear one another. For drinks, we ordered a few. We had the V.I.P. Old-Fashioned, Paper Planes, and a watermelon based drink. Each one was tasty but the Paper Plane would be my least favorite. We had the shrimp Diablo for the appetizer. This is definitely a must get. Everything blended well together and the flavors were just really good. For food we ordered the hanger steak, a ribeye, risotto, mashed potatoes and the crab macaroni and cheese. The ribeye has more flavor than the hanger but the hanger was still good. The risotto and the mashed potatoes were very flavorful and just comforting to eat. The crab macaroni and cheese was my least favorite. There were a few shells in it and the flavor of the crab did not pair well with the macaroni and cheese. I would give this place another visit. They came out dry and scorned. Compound the fact that we had to wait nearly 30 minutes for the breakfast to come out (and not super busy) made it even more frustrating. However, Jeremy handled it very well and I appreciate his customer center approach. The kitchen may want to take an example from Jeremy about being customer centered. When a customer asks for something specific, they should be accommodating, considering that we pay their salary.
