Recently discovered another great place to dine when visiting Jax Beach. AB Kitchen is located just blocks from the beach and right in the middle of great shopping and dining options. The interior is extremely clean, almost industrial decor and lighting with accents of palm trees. Our server was extremely attentive and did a great job. We were there for lunch and used that menu so it was somewhat casual fare but they do a really great job of elevating these basics. My quesadilla was braised beef and it was excellent. Just amazing texture and taste. My wife had the Avacado bacon lettuce and tomato. She raved about it. The Beachside sour was also excellent. Refreshing, light the perfect summer drink. This area of the beaches has a ton of great places to eat. Make sure you make AB Kitchen one of them. read more

I can't believe I had never heard of this place. It is intimate but didn't feel too crowded but it was definitely busy, make a reservation! The Brussel sprouts were soo good, they have goat cheese and a Korean chili sauce and we cleared the plate. I came here for happy hour with one of my girlfriends and I was excited to try the spot and Neptune Beach. They have a really unique menu with small plates and savory entrées. They also have a nice drink selection and my waiter was so so friendly. The ambience in there is lovely and I like that. It's not too dark... A friend recommended this spot after one of our walks, mentioning it was a bit on the pricey side but the flavor would be worth it. She was absolutely right. I ordered the New Zealand lamb chops with broccolini, couscous, and a creamy yogurt sauce that tied everything together beautifully. Every bite was balanced and full of rich, bold flavor. My friend went with the soup and salad, and that soup? Packed with flavor and so comforting and delicious. From start to finish, the service was excellent. The hostess and our waiter were incredibly kind and knowledgeable. Our waiter took the time to explain each dish in thoughtful detail, which made the experience feel even more special. Every time I come here, it's amazing. It's usually not crowded on Sundays around lunch time, even though both their brunch and lunch menus are available. The place looks really classy, but you still feel comfortable dressing casually for the beach. You can tell the food is made with a lot of heart as it's always more impressive than you could imagine. Visited AB Kitchen with my fiance on Valentine's Day and we are so mad we didn't visit sooner. Incredible dinner! They were totally prepared for V-Day and we didn't feel squished or rushed at all. Just a really great and special dinner. We shared the Tahini Caesar: romaine, lemon tahini dressing, garlic olive oil breadcrumbs to start and it was huge! Great and unique salad. I had the Seared Scallop Red Curry: steamed spinach, jasmine rice, cilantro, lime, peanuts for dinner and it was everything I hoped for and more. I ate the whole thing! It was sweet, spicy, salty, and fresh. I loved it! And for only $27 - a steal! Huge fresh scallops!! My fiance got the Chimichurri Steak: whipped potatoes, roasted seasonal vegetables and LOVED it. He said it reminded him of the Argentinian steak we would get back home in Pittsburgh at one of our favorite restaurants. 5 star dinner. The ambiance is very beachy and coastal. Weekday lunch in the area and we decided to try this place. Options for outdoor sidewalk dining or bright and clean inside dining with tables or a booth. I chose one cocktail, the Beachside Sour and it was delicious. It was a slight twist on a typical whiskey sour and I really enjoyed it. For my entree, the Avocado, Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato (A.B.L.T.) had the option to add a fried egg. I chose this and asked to hold the mayo. Each component of this sandwich is done well. The avocado was a lemony mash and complimented everything else perfectly. The bacon was cooked crispy and not at all greasy. The toasted French bread held the whole sandwich together and made for delicious bite after bite. Fries came with my sandwich and they were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. My husband ordered the Braised beef quesadilla and enjoyed that as well. We will definitely return when we are at the beaches again! read more

Honestly sad I waited so long to come. We checked out AB kitchen with some friends in a Monday night. No reservation needed as the place was quite empty. Booth and table seating available. I think there were a few chairs/tables out front but seating is primarily inside. I LOVED my scallop red curry. Perfect amount of spice and so delicious. My drink was also yummy although I forget which one I ordered. Our server was great, drinks always filled. Would def recommend. It has a nice casual beach theme with plenty of pictures and theming. We were lucky enough to get a great table in front along the big windows. The menu has several appetizers, salads, sandwiches and entrees. I went with the South West Steak Wrap. It had steak, black beans, rice, roasted corn, peppers, Pico de Gallo, greens, cilantro vinaigrette, and cotija cheese. It also came with fries, which were great. My husband had the crab fried rice. It had snow crab, shitake mushrooms, scallions, Jasmine rice, ponzu soy sauce, shrimp sauce, cilantro and lime. It tasted and looked great. Service was friendly and pretty quick. read more

Nice little restaurant on Atlantic in the main Neptune AB commerce area. Hubby and I shared the salmon dinner and shared the crab fried rice. There's a $5 split charge when the kitchen does the plating for you which was ok- they say you get a little more sides that way. The dish was perfect. The crab fried rice I wasn't a fan of. I think the rice was a little too wet and mushy. Our group shared the beet and burrata app and the deviled egg app. Also for dessert we all shared the fruit crisp something g else- the fruit crisp was the winner ;) Would I go back sure. Calamari was very good. Pretty good Happy Hour menu. Had the honey glazed carrot salad, not what I expected. It was good but there wasn't enough arugula IMO to be called a salad, I wanted my greens! I came here on Memorial weekend. Tammy and I got a room at One Ocean Hotel. AB Kitchen is in walking distance from the hotel. Just one block away. Right in the middle of Atlantic Beach Town Center. Walked in, we were seated right away. Nice, cozy, atmosphere amazing service! Their gluten-free items are very clearly marked, and they had more than enough for me to choose from. We had the Ramen style deviled eggs - absolutely delicious, I also had the ahi tuna stack - it was good, the avocado puree was delicious but the meal as a whole was too salty for me, but good. The gluten eater in the group enjoyed the lamb burger and chips along with shrimp toast. Prices are in line with the food items, and portions that you receive. They've changed their menu a bit since opening and I approve! The portions are bigger and the seafood entrees we decided in were perfectly cooked. It's a smaller restaurant with only 4 bar seats. They've also changed the layout since they opened, opting for low top tables instead of high top in the middle and I love the change. The service was great, the options for wine has something for everyone and the menu is much more diverse. We'll definitely be back. read more

Was planning a last minute dinner with friends who had just moved back to Jax and didn't have a lot of options you know since last minute but was told to check up AB Kitchen and glad we did. I have not even heard of this place. We were seated and checked out the drinks and appetizers. Quickly found out that their cocktails were wine based which I wasn't expecting so I just got a beer. Just a heads for those who want a real cocktail. There were a number of appetizers that sounded real good and they had specials too. We went with one of the specials which was the Asian Pork Croquettes and then did something crazy for the other app....We really liked the sound of the Crab Fried Rice and fried rice is easy to share so we did that as an app too (It's one of the entrée house specialties). Our appetizers came out pretty quick and I have never seen and order of fried rice disappear quicker. I will say it wasn't loaded with crab but this did had so much flavor. The Asian Pork Croquettes were also very good but the Crab Fried Rice took that round. Would going over entrees there was once again that sounded really good but once I saw the Seared Scallop Coconut Red Curry I knew I had to have it. Youn had me at Seared Scallops and Red Curry which are both things I normally jump to so together I have to have it. Oh did I mention it's $27 and comes with 5 scallops?!?!?! You're not beating that in 2023. The scallops were cooked perfectly and had a nice sear as well. The curry was full of flavor a little on the sweeter then spicy side but I very much enjoyed it. AB Kitchen is a lovely little spot in Atlantic Beach to enjoy a delicious meal that doesn't leave you feeling bleh from grease and over processed food. That being said, you're going to pay for quality but totally worth it. Like many of the restaurants in the area, I'd recommend making a reservation especially if you're wanting to dine on a Friday or Saturday. It also gets extremely loud, which makes conversation even for a table of 4 very, "What?" and "I didn't hear you." Favorite Apps include the Brussels (when they have it on special) and the Shrimp Toast. Favorite entree by far is the Chicken Feta Meatballs. The Chimichurri steak is good but has been inconsistent which always leads me back to the meatballs. Important to Note: AB Kitchen does not have a liquor license and all cocktails are wine based. They taste good, but they are pricey, mostly ice, and have very little alcohol. I'd suggest sticking to wine or beer instead. read more

Tasty calamari just needed a tad longer in the fryer to get that crisp. But oh the flavor and sauce was on point. I enjoyed the ceviche octopus dish which I had as a main. A great addition to Jax beach area. We wanted to try a new place at the beaches and this was an excellent choices. Service was great and we got our food fairly quick. We started with calamari and Brussel sprouts. Both were very tasty and although it was fried, both dishes were not greasy at all. For main dishes, we had ravioli that had artichokes and tomatoes which tasted really fresh and light. We also ordered crab fried rice which can was delicious and has big clumps of crab meat. The halibut special and chimichurri steak were delightful. The only thing we didn't like was parking, they were doing a construction on the dedicated parking space for this restaurant so we had to go around several times to find a spot. read more
