Coastal Farmer has a great, upscale ambiance. It's located steps from the beach with lots of seating throughout the restaurant. We came for lunch and got some drinks, oysters, and a lobster roll. The service was prompt and friendly, the server even noticed us not drinking one of the cocktails and asked if she could get us anything else. The oysters and the lobster roll were both delicious, but at $4/oyster, be sure to savor each bite. Definitely a fun spot in Atlantic Beach to impress visitors but is a splurge. I will still be back to try dinner!

We made a reservation for the dining room, but were able to move outside when we arrived as it was a nice evening. We started with the Rock Lobster Tagliatelle, which was very tasty but the pasta was more of an angel hair than tagliatelle. For my entree, I got a hanger steak with chimichurri and shrimp. The steak and shrimp were both cooked perfectly, and the chimichurri was fresh. My bf got the Blackened Snapper, which unfortunately was bland and not cooked well. He also got a side of asparagus that was fine but not worth the $16 price tag. For desert, they gave me a free scoop of @maydayicecream, which was a nice treat to finish off the meal. Overall, I really enjoyed everything I had and would recommend if I had not tried some of Daniel's snapper. It is worth the try but definitely read reviews of what you are ordering.

We had an amazing experience at Coastal Farmer in the Dune House Hotel! The food was incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. I ordered the Mahi Rice Bowl, and it was outstanding. Every ingredient tasted fresh, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. A special shoutout to our server, Gage, who made the experience even better. He was extremely welcoming, attentive, and knowledgeable. His recommendations were spot on and helped us choose some of the best items on the menu. Between the amazing food, fresh ingredients, and exceptional service, this was a fantastic dining experience. We will definitely be back!

One of the best meals I've ever had. Sarah Anne was our waitress and she was absolutely incredible. The food was delicious, the room we were sat it overlooked the ocean and was beautiful, and not a single thing disappointed. Samantha, one of the managers, checked in on us several times as well. They went above and beyond to provide us with an amazing dining experience. The Tuna Crudo was some of the freshest raw seafood I've had in Jax. I wish I could eat everything on the menu. 100% worth a trip. The empty plate photo should tell you everything you need to know about the quality - didn't even last long enough for us to snap a pic. So, so good. P.S - Sarah Anne deserves employee of the year

Wonderful breakfast at Coastal Farmer while celebrating my husband's 60th birthday! I had the steak and eggs with fingerling potatoes, and my husband had the shrimp and grits. Both were outstanding. My steak was cooked to a perfect medium with a slight crust outside and was incredibly tender inside. The roasted tomato relish was the perfect complement. The shrimp and grits were creamy and flavorful with a delicious pimento cheese element and just the right amount of kick. Our waitress, Sarah Anne, provided excellent service, and manager Anna stopped by to make sure everything was perfect. A beautiful newly renovated setting, fantastic food, and wonderful service. Hats off to the chef! We will definitely be back!

The 22oz ribeye and the cheesecake were to die for! Joel was also such a great server. Very attentive and kind. Will definitely be back. Such a great addition to AB!

I tried to start with the Smoked Fish Dip but they unfortunately were out of that so I pivoted to a bowl of New England Clam Chowder. It was served with two stone cold hushpupies which added nothing. If you can't serve them hot you are better to not to serve them at all. The soup was also a miss for me. I could decern very little clam flavor amongst the potatoes. Just a miss for me. The special of the day was a Shrimp special. I ordered it fried which was probably a mistake in retrospect. While they were nice shrimp the batter was again not spiced at all, none. It was just a miss for my palate. Maybe it was just me ordering the wrong things as the ratings here are so high but I feel like the Yelpers led me astray here. :(

Coming from the Pacific Northwest, we have pretty high standards - and this place delivered. We came toward the end of the night, and while it was still busy, there was plenty of seating available. The atmosphere is no-frills and laid-back - like a classic seafood shack you'd find at a coastal fish market. Nothing fancy, just fresh seafood done right. The raw oysters were fresh and an absolute must order. Since we visited during the winter, I also warmed up with a bowl of clam chowder, which really hit the spot. We also tried the boiled oysters, served hot and charred, and they ended up being everyone's favorite. We all eat oysters and seafood pretty regularly, and even we were surprised by how flavorful they were. If you stop by, don't just order the raw oysters - get the boiled ones too so you can experience both. You really can't go wrong here.

The vibe is lively, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming they even surprised the table with a complimentary order of fried crab claws with garlic aioli that were absolutely delicious. For my main course, I had the trio fried platter with fish, scallops, and shrimp, accompanied by hush puppies, fries, and coleslaw. You can truly taste the freshness in every single bite; everything is locally caught by their own fishermen. Even if the restaurant is packed, you can usually get a spot at the bar to eat. And if you sit upstairs, you get a nice view out of the windows. They have different specials all the time, and on our last visit, they had fried crab claws with a yummy dipping sauce. On this last visit, we just had drinks and appetizers, but on previous visits, I've tried a lot of the fish dishes on the menu and have liked them all. They also have good hush puppies. Their mixed drinks are good as well. I can't remember the names of the two I tried (in the photos), but they were refreshing. My husband had an espresso martini, but instead of vodka, he had them make it with the O'Kahan Agave Mezcal Purple Heart, which is something you have to ask for. It's a different twist on the usual espresso martini. Overall, it's good food in a good spot right on the corner in the Beaches Town Center. Never been disappointed and have been eating there for years.

We were seated toward the back of the establishment, offering an utterly magnificent, unobstructed view of the river. To begin, I selected a crisp Corona Extra with a fresh slice of lemon, while my assistant opted for a fine beer. For our luncheon, we ordered a platter of raw oysters, which were extraordinarily fresh, perfectly chilled, and thoroughly divine for a late-afternoon meal. To top off a splendid day, we indulged in a warm cinnamon roll for dessert a delightfully decadent sweet finish. Watching the breathtaking sunset cast its glow over the water made for a truly magical afternoon. Impeccable views, fresh cuisine, and a wonderful atmosphere I shall most certainly be returning!
