One word: OBSESSED! 14 Prime is everything she thinks she is. From the stellar service from Ed, to the excellently innovative menu, onto the great wine selection, and all of random and delicious extra "happies" that make their way out of the kitchen before the meal and to go-- I am smitten. Stopped by for a girl date (first visit) and had a ball, the music selection, vibes, and aesthetic-- all top tier! The warm, bread service gets an honorable mention for sure. We were eating light-ish, tried as much as we possibly could, and absolutely loved it all. The ravioli, salmon tartare, pot pie, crab rice, raspberry garden dessert, matcha and muffin to go... no complaints whatsoever. A real winner here. Special nod to Liam next door for the great recommendations. We are sure to return. Cheers!

14 prime is a must go to in Jax! We enjoyed our entire experience there. From the emails leading up to our reservation to ask for our preferences, allergies, food restrictions and our cocktail orders to the service once we got there was all exceptional! The only caveat we had with the service is that they mentioned complimentary valet parking but the valet made us wait and park our own car which did throw us off a bit especially when the emails and texts all boasted about the valet parking. The food was all really delicious. The menu was creative and each dish had its own flare. Our favorites were the crab fried rice, the spaghetti dish we got, scallops and the Denver wagyu! The experience and the food were definitely worth the price. The restaurant was very cute and had dimmed lighting inside making the ambiance perfect for a date night!

Stopped by 14 Prime for drinks and immediately knew we'd be back. Lydia at the bar was amazing super welcoming and on point from the start (plus a complimentary glass of champagne didn't hurt). Sat at the bar, ordered a few apps, and everything hit. The caviar potato and steak crostini were standouts, but the pork belly and octopus were just as good. She gave us great recommendations and was super knowledgeable about the menu. Perfect spot for a cocktail and bites can't wait to come back for brunch and dinner!!

My gal pals and I decided to get dressed up and treat ourselves to brunch to help beat the winter blues. Plus we needed an excuse to try the $30 cinnamon roll at 14 prime lol. The atmosphere is beautiful and elegant- def stands out in Jacksonville. The wait staff is also clearly professional, polished and well trained. I really liked the gigantic table side cinnamon roll, and the wild mushrooms inside my omelet were so tasty I wish I had just a bowl of them. Otherwise I was a little disappointed because I had heard of so many "over the top" special touches from others who had dined here (I.e. champagne when you walk in, a personalized note, complimentary to go coffee & muffins, etc etc), but we did not receive anything like that at brunch and yes we had made our reservation way in advance. So although brunch was tasty & the ambiance pretty it wasn't a mind blowing experience.

I took my friends' to dinner for their birthdays here. I booked a reservation on Resy and first impression was good but then it wasn't. They reached out via text introducing themselves and asking how they could better accommodate our visit by asking are we celebrating any occasions, if we had any diet restrictions or allergies, etc etc. Further down the text, they went over their dress code and restaurant policy including no outside food whatsoever including CAKE! I thought this was absurd but I replied with "if you guys don't allow me to bring cake for my friends' birthday do you offer complementary desserts for the birthday girls?" Their responds blew me away and not in a good way. They said they could put a candle on a dessert if we purchase it! I've never had a restaurant restrict me from bringing cake, let alone tell me they can put a measly $1 candle on a dessert. For the price of their menu items and the outstanding and impeccable service they supposedly offer, they sure as hell fell short in their introduction. Of course a manager reached out after I said 'some things' via text but I didn't reply. We decided to still show up and see what the rave was about. Order: 1/2 dozen raw oysters, roasted bone marrow, hash brown & caviar, saffron Campanelle, wild king salmon, creamed Swiss Chard & Spinach, and free range half chicken. Oysters were the only thing that was amazing. I'm sure the steak would have been really good too but no one ordered steak (sadly bc they're a steak house). Everything else was SALTY. Hash brown and caviar was nothing but two French-toast-sized potato wedges topped with fancy fish eggs and tagged as $23. The campanelle is pasta with Maine lobster in a bolognese sauce. Didn't have any bold flavors, it was a simple tomato/red sauce. The bone morrow was topped with sautéed rhubarb and horseradish. I've had plenty of bone morrow but this was not the best. The rhubarb and radish they had on top was super salty and greasy. The grease from that melted on top of the morrow and completely destroyed the creamy and custard texture of the morrow. The salmon was served with lentils and pickled onions. The salmon too was salty but the pickled onions were really good and helped cut through some of that saltiness. The spinach side tasted like frozen spinach topped with cheese. And lastly the chicken. Again too salty but it was cooked nicely. Meat was tender and super juicy. Overall the food service did not meet my expectation, sadly because on their website 14 Prime was supposed to bring Jax a bold innovative refined and elegant dining experience. The only thing that saved them for a two star was the service. Our server was very friendly and attentive. He explained everything on the menu with lots of details.

This restaurant deserves 5 stars. From valet, to coat check, to pre-wine prior to seating. From the decor, the ambiance, the vibe, the drinks, the service- all 10/10. The decor within was breathtaking the pillows were so cute for the ladies. The menu had options for everyone; the steak and seafood was fantastic to say the least. The king crab, king salmon, 16oz prime ribeye, did I mention the bread and butter??? The creamed spinach and crab fried rice I highly recommend. I didn't need salt and pepper on any dish except the spinach but paired with everything else I didn't have to request any. My server was attentive. The carrot cake and the pecans paired was delicious. I Will definitely return, Great place for fine dining, with a price tag attached

Came to 14 Prime for a birthday and was greeted with a complimentary glass of champagne to start the celebration. This restaurant is certainly one of the nicest ambiance-wise in town. Tables of 2 are seated only at the bar, which we found to still be enjoyable with great service. We ordered the salmon crudo and tableside mozz for apps. Both were great, but the mozz is an absolute must. For our entrees, we got the ribeye and the lamb....both were excellent and cooked exactly to our specifications. I am not normally a carrot cake guy, but man was it good!! All of the drinks are unique and fantastic as well, I got a drink called Cloud 9, which came with a side of cheese for pairing! If all of this wasn't enough, they send you home with cold brew lattes and muffins for the next morning as part of a thank you for joining them for dinner. It is definitely a pricy meal, but the price is justified in the experience and taste. Definitely recommend for a special occasion (or not!)

Always a great experience. We've been several times for dinner but have been wanting to try brunch and it did not disappoint. We opted to share the Pancake In Its Prime and the Crème Brûlée French Toast. We tried to save room for the table side cinnamon roll but were only able to share a small piece. The fresh-squeezed OJ was great. There were so many options that sounded delicious so we will be back for brunch. Wonderful service by Zack and we really enjoyed the more laid back atmosphere compared to evening dinners. One of our favorites!

Can't forget the toffee sundae. The bits of toffee and the warm brownie was everything!

The details were not missed from the time we scheduled to the time we woke up the next morning!! So my husband booked 14 Prime for my birthday and they asked a series of questions about me and what we were celebrating, all my favorites. So when I arrived I had so gorgeous flowers that had my favorite colors in them and a little gift with m name on it. This was the first restaurant that had put so much thought into celebrating me. Very thoughtful. There was also a champagne toast when we checked in! Now the staff greeted us with warm welcome, we sat at the chef's table which was really neat to see all the kitchen come together and make amazing dishes. Everyone was so nice and we laughed with them all night.

I was here about a month and a half ago and felt compelled to come back -- the food really is top-notch. It's a great spot for a relaxed Sunday brunch after church. Yes, it's still on the pricey side, but in my opinion it's worth it for the quality, presentation, and atmosphere. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it easy to sit, talk, and enjoy the experience. The pancakes were very good, the shrimp and grits were outstanding, but the clear winner of brunch was the French toast. Absolutely incredible -- rich, flavorful, and perfectly done. The ice cream on top takes it to another level and makes it feel like a true treat rather than just breakfast. Unfortunately, our waiter this time around wasn't very friendly and seemed a bit grumpy. We had to wave him down two or three times just to place our order and get assistance. That level of service wasn't quite what I've come to expect from this restaurant. That said, it didn't ruin our time, and it definitely won't stop us from coming back. The food and atmosphere are strong enough to keep us returning.

This was my 14 Prime debut. Spoiler Alert - I was thoroughly impressed from the moment I entered until I finally left the restaurant. Parking was easy. We used the valet service, they were quick and courteous. Upon entering the dining room, the hostess greeted us, acknowledged our special occasion and offered complimentary prosecco as our table was being prepared. The setting is dark and intimate in the main dining area. Not quiet but very upscale and elegant. Don't come under dressed, you will immediately feel out of place. We were seated in the best seats in the house...The Kitchen! Our server Adrian was absolutely amazing. He took care of our every need and even made sure we took home a beautiful memento to remember the occasion. This guy deserves a promotion or raise at the very least, the level of service he provided will keep guests coming back time after time. Now to the food. We started off with their bread basket and a complimentary steak crostini from the chef, which was phenomenal. Their drink menu was expansive...A variety of cocktails, a few mocktails, wine out the wazoo, Louis XIII, and even a whiskey selection. We ended up getting champagne and a bump, a martini, and an "old new friend" cocktail. I had king salmon tartare, taleggio ravioli, and a wagyu flat iron 10oz. My wife had Argentinian red shrimp, crab fried rice, asparagus oscar, and a filet mignon 8oz. Everything we had tasted amazing. I literally don't have one bad thing to say about any of the food. They even gave my wife fresh flowers for our celebration. PS. The kitchen seating is a must. The view was incredible. If you want a good steak, or even a great place for date night, look no farther than 14 Pime. It's fairly expensive, but It's entirely worth it. The experience was second to none

Brunch was super yummy with excellence service and all the jazz! We started with the table side cinnamon roll! Enough for 4 people, hot, light but sweet, and overall delicious! I was hoping for eggs Benedict of some kind but it was no longer in the menu so I went with the 14 prime burger. Large, juicy, and full of flavor with truffle on top! Highly recommend a visit for a special treat! However when I come back it'll be for dinner as my experience for that was 10 stars!

I ordered the short rib, and it was outstanding--perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and served over a rich parmesan risotto that struck the right balance of creamy and savory. The red wine demi-glace brought everything together with a deep, refined flavor that you'd expect from a much more upscale spot. The crispy pork belly, though, completely stole the show. Easily the best I've ever had--perfectly crisp on the outside, melt-in-your-mouth on the inside, and seasoned to perfection. I travel frequently and dine out often, so it takes a lot to impress me--but this place did exactly that. The atmosphere was relaxed and authentic, and despite the "hole-in-the-wall" feel, every dish was executed at a high level. I was there with coworkers, and every single one of us walked away impressed. This is the kind of spot you almost want to keep to yourself--but it's too good not to share.

The restaurant was super clean and our waiter was nice and attentive. We ordered the following: Appetizer - Torresmo (Crispy pork belly with smoked guava sauce and lime) - 7/10 - The pork belly was salty, crispy, and had lots of flavor but it was a tad dry. The star was the guava sauce! It was sweet, smokey and paired so well with the pork belly. There was not enough lime and the pieces we had were dry and not juicy. We could barely get juice out of them. Regardless, the appetizer was good. A bit heavy though on the stomach. Entrees: Costela ao Molho Madeira com Risotto de Parmesão (braised beef short rib with madeira sauce over parmesan risotto) - 8/10 - The short rib was super tender and fell off the bone! It was pretty hefty piece too and plenty of meat for the dish. The flavors were good but I didn't really like the taste of Madeira wine (personal preference). The parmesan risotto was really delicious, creamy, and had a strong cheesy taste! Reminded me of elevated mac and cheese and it went so well with the braised short rib. Picanha Rustica (steak served with fried rice with bacon, eggs, onion, and potato stick, chimichurri sauce, and fried yuca - 8.7/10 - my husband had this and he enjoyed it very much. I had a bite of his steak and it was cooked perfectly, medium rare. The fried yuca was hot, crispy, light, and airy. The chimichurri sauce was so fresh and went well with the well seasoned steak. I tried the fried rice and it was delightful as well. We would definitely get this dish again. Overall, it was a pleasant evening and the food was delicious. A bit pricey but the quality was great. I personally won't get the braised short ribs again because it was a bit wine flavored heavy but if you're into wine sauces, you would absolutely love it! Service was good and we were taken care of. Can't wait to try other things on the menu!

I was pleased with the overall appearance of the dining area. It was intimate and felt romantic...at first. The place is nice but it doubles as a lounge after maybe 10pm or so. This made what started out as a romantic dinner, turn into a rush to get home. It became super crowded near where we were seated and the service became stretched. The food was good. There was complimentary bread that came with an olive oil dip reminiscent of Carabba's. For dinner I ordered tuna crudo, shrimp and lobster pappardelle , mushroom arancini, and brussel sprouts. I won't go as far to say that anything was mind blowing but the dishes tasted good. The pappardelle was the star it was balanced and loaded with fresh shrimp and lobster throughout. The mushroom dish was pretty much a risotto ball that was breaded and fried. The tuna crudo was okay, fresh but lacking acidity and umami. The brussel sprouts were charred nicely and came with a yogurt sauce. There was an array of dinks. Cocktails, wine, champagne service, and two bars to sit and have drinks or dinner. I ended up getting the Sirocco cocktail x2. The drink was made well and tasted good. I would definitely give Cataluna another shot, just not so close to party time. This place is great though if you like upscale lounge vibes with food. If you want to try something different for a late meal or hangout, make Cataluna a destination to try

Both were addictively good. For dessert, I had the s'mores pie, which was surprisingly good. Fudgy creamy goodness with a nice texture from the graham cracker crust. I really love the roasted marshmallow fluff on top and they brought it with a candle for my birthday. I really appreciated that extra touch along with the FREE champagne for the table. They really know how to do birthday dinners If you want to get the horseshoe booth check for it on the reservations.

We came here with my sister and her husband for a belated Valentine's Day dinner…read more When we arrived we were greeted by the hostess. We decided to have a drink at the bar. I ordered a lemon drop martini. My drink was made well and was cold. When we were seated, we looked over the menu. There menu hasn't really changed too much. We opted to start with fried pickles and split a wedge salad. My sister and her husband each had a salad. My sister had the burata and her husband had the ranch. Our apps/salads came out quickly. The wedge salad was cool and crisp. I wish it had more pieces of bacon, the bacon looked a bit sparse. The fried pickles were great. I loved the light crisp batter on them and the ranch dip had a bit of a kick to it. For dinner I got the braised short ribs, my husband and brother in law both got the chimichurri steak, and my sister got the pork schnitzel. I've been looking forward to the braised short ribs all week. I was a bit disappointed that when I bit in, it appeared to be pretty bland. Normally when I get this meal it's bursting with flavor. My husband and BIL enjoyed their steaks. My sister enjoyed her schnitzel, but said the pork could have been a bit thinner. We ended the meal with their skillet cookie. Typically the cookie comes out piping hot, but on this occassion, while the skillet was hot, the cookie wasn't. We'll give them another shot, but I was a bit disappointed this time around.

My part of five got the crushed pineapple martini, plain espresso martini, smoked old fashioned, vodka martini and cosmo. All the drinks were great- there are several cocktail options and many are sweet, but they do have good variety, including 3 types of espresso martinis. Beautiful glassware, which I love. For apps we got focaccia (nothing special really), oysters Rockefeller (so amazing!) For sides we had a loaded baked potato (SO huge), lobster Mac, Brussels, and asparagus. Everyone seemed to enjoy, I didn't eat too much since my meal came with risotto. I ordered the special for the night- filet, crispy shrimp, and southern sweet corn risotto. The whole table loved the shrimp and risotto! I really enjoyed it- never had risotto like this, but am not sure it paired well with the filet, but I still ate it all together :) 4 of us ordered steaks and they were all cooked exceptionally well. We eat at steak houses often so we were very impressed! My boyfriend got the lamb and added a lobster tail, both had amazing presentations and he was happy too. I've seen some reviews saying this place is pricey, however the portions reflect this. The level of service, presentation, and how good the food is make it entirely worth it. We were seated near an anniversary and a birthday party, so it was nice to see everyone having a great time. Trent was very attentive and gave us so much info about the menu, answered questions, and laughed at dad jokes. Melanie, the manager checked on us to ensure we were having a great time! The hosts and back servers were also great, utensils always there and water always full. They boxed our food at the table for us and the leftovers have been reheating well for a couple of days :P Thank you Melanie and Trent for a great night!

Made reservations about a week in advance because it was Mother's Day weekend, prom season, and…read moregrad season. Free parking in the parking lot (though it gets fairly full). I enjoyed the food; however, I think some details were missing or off for the price point. For example, the rib eye was requested for medium temp; however, it was medium rare and very chewy. The broiled ocean platter was kind of skimpy for the price point, and the shrimp & lobster diavolo were pretty good (though lobster wasn't very tender and slightly rubbery). I also wasn't given a pasta spoon- so had slight difficulty eating it. It took quite a while for us to get our food, approx 45 minutes? Our waitress was very kind and checked in- but forgot the lemons I had asked for- for the waters. We had inputted in our reservation request to not be in the center- and we were sat in the middle; though, 80% of the tables were empty. So, all in all, it was good but for the price point, I had higher expectations.

The rooftop bar is definitely the highlight, offering great views of the river and downtown skyline, especially around sunset. It creates a relaxing vibe that works well for date nights, drinks with friends, or special occasions. The food overall was good, with a menu that offers a nice mix of seafood, steaks, and Southern-inspired dishes. Some items were excellent and well-prepared, while others felt a little pricey for the portion size. The cocktails were creative and well-made, though drinks can add up quickly. Service was friendly and professional, but during busy hours things moved a bit slower than expected. Parking can also be limited depending on the time of day, so arriving early helps. Overall, River & Post delivers more on atmosphere and experience than just the food alone. While it may not be the cheapest dining option in Jacksonville, the rooftop views and overall ambiance make it worth checking out at least once.

We began with the spinach dip and house-made chips, along with the steak and cauliflower flatbread. Both appetizers were flavorful. The flatbread was slightly overdone -- the crust a bit too chewy -- but when we mentioned it, the staff handled it immediately and graciously removed it from our bill. That level of responsiveness says a lot about their commitment to customer satisfaction. My wife and I started sharing a wedge salad and French onion soup -- both perfectly prepared and full of flavor. Around the table, the entrées included the Blackened Chicken Pasta, Peach Bourbon Pork Chop, Chicken Pot Pie, and the B.L.A.S.T. Stack (smoked salmon, bacon, avocado, and tomato). Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their selections. Our server, Angela, was outstanding -- attentive without hovering and always there exactly when we needed her. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a comfortable noise level that made conversation easy. Stonewood remains a dependable spot for a great meal and an enjoyable evening. We'll definitely be back.
