We tried this spot for our monthly ladies night dinner and were sorely disappointed. I hate to give a low review but honestly the five of us agreed, the food was not good for any of us. I am a vegetarian and had the cauliflower steak and ate one bite. It was not good at all. Granted they took it off the check but that does not make for a good dinner experience. Most of the other ladies had a pasta dish with various proteins and were not happy either. We had a few appetizers that were good. A bread dish and some hush puppies. The salads we shared were decent but again nothing special. The atmosphere is nice as you do have a view of the small golf course area. The corkage fee is $25 to bring your own wine, which I did . I knew it was on a golf course, didn't realize you have to go thru a manned gate to get in, but it was no problem, just told them here to eat at Argyle, and they let us right in! Walking in, it's so pretty! Huge, great bar! But we chose to eat on the patio, great decision it's beautiful out there! Omg maybe my favorite thing of the place! Eating next to the water and flowers! We got brunch and it was delish! I got a chuckle they have a breakfast margarita here, like I need to wake up on the golf course and order my breakfast marg lol! Part of a large group on a Wednesday afternoon 6pm for drinks and dinner First time visit and it was great! It's located as part of the Yards golf course- easy entry as you let the guard house know you're there for Argyle. Open parking there weren't any issues. Started with drinks at the fire pit area. Great views and relaxing. Then dinner on the outside patio, they had Heaters and it was fine. Wonderful service and good selection of items on the menu. Pork belly/grits was favorite app. White Lilly biscuit choice was great for sharing and the goat cheese was good. Also had the spicy ahi tuna and that was a hit. Main meal had the crispy pork chop and it was delicious and definitely crispy added side of garlic noodles and that was darn good love the egg on top. Will be back. After a round at The Yards, we enjoyed a delicious meal with great ambiance on the patio. I started with the Spicy Ahi Tuna, which was tasty. For my entree, I had the Hatch Chili Bucatini. It was a unique combination of summer flavors, which I really enjoyed. Everyone else ordered filet mignon and chicken, which they also enjoyed. Argyle always finds ways to impress us. We were greeted as soon as we walked in by a very friendly team and sat immediately. Our server, Tristian, was enthusiastic and offered excellent recommendations. He is a relatively new server at Argyle , but fits their style perfectly: professional, knowledgeable, and kind. The food is just incredible...we shared a muhumarra appetizer, and I had the salmon with an order of the beets and berries. My husband had the Argyle burger and a side of the Argyy you le wedge salad. Nothing ever comes out of Chef Blackford's kitchen unless it is delicious and plated to perfection. The Argylerita is also delicious. Try the Drylands Sav Blanc for an incredible NZ wine. The Wahoo ceviche was soooo good. I am so glad to see more apps like this on local menus. We shared the shaved chayote salad that had an excellent vinaigrette. The carnitas tacos were a very fancy pork belly affair. The Viper stuffed tortillas were beefy and cheesy. Between the 2 of us we had salads, filet mignon, gnocchi, pork rack, beets, chocolate mousse and butter cake. Options for each course were great. Portion sizes were good. Everything was well cooked. Only reason it's not a 5 star review is because my pork rack lacked flavor and was fattier than I would've liked. Everything else was delicious. For appetizers, we ordered the Lemon Chicken Soup and the Caesar salad. Both dishes were fresh and flavorful, setting a promising tone for the meal. For the main courses, we tried the akaushi steak, Salad with Salmon, and Radiatori Stroganoff. Each dish was excellent in taste and presentation. The akaushi steak was cooked to perfection, the salad was well-balanced with the salmon, and the Radiatori Stroganoff was rich and satisfying. The bread basket was delicious too. The drink and wine selection is impressive, with the frozen Transfusion being a standout. It was refreshing and well-made. Service and staff were attentive and courteous, enhancing the overall dining experience. However, the major drawback of Argyle is the kitchen's speed. Despite the quality of food and service, the time it takes for the kitchen to bring out the dishes is unacceptably long. First time coming to Argyle was Valentine's Day so this review should not be used if you are coming on a regular day as we had a prefixed menu. Argyle had been on my list of places to try for a while and I hadn't had the opportunity yet. We made a reservation on Open Table I believe, thinking I would be the standard menu however someone did reach out and let me know Argyle had a fixed menu that night and it would be $100 reach for the meal. I figured it is Valentine's Day and most places do a prefixed menu so why not try it out. I took a picture of the options we were given which were very good options, I think we saw almost everything come by our table and it all looked delicious. We started with the salad which was very good, I would actually order the salad if I went back. My starter was the truffle risotto which was just okay, in their defense it was the veg option so it wasn't made with a flavorful broth like I am used to. Mike ordered the scallops which were wonderful and definitely the dish to order. My main was the braised lamb short rib gnocchi it was wonderful. Mike got the roasted pork rack and he loved it and suggested our neighbors order it as well when they were trying to decide. Honestly the dessert was a bit underwhelming, it wasn't bad it was just not a wow. All together we enjoyed our experience, the restaurant was elegantly decorated, drinks were good, service was good and food was good but the real question is was it worth $100 each? Honestly the answer is in my opinion no, not as it is. I think there are some things they could do to make me feel better about that high of a price tag, give everyone a complimentary glass of champagne, make a wow dessert meant to be split by two people, serve a truly stand out unique dish. I would say as is it is an $80 experience with a $100 price tag. I did however know the price coming in and again the food was good so think it was a four star Valentine experience with a five star date! read more

A beautiful spot. It seems more like a clubhouse bar than a restaurant, but maybe it was the time of day I was there. The service was fantastic and the presentation of the food was on point. The Parker house rolls- they came out hot in a cast iron skillet. They were a bit over done and dry in my opinion but tasty. Who doesn't love hot bread?! The chopped salad was premiered beautifully, but it could have used a bit of salt or acid to liven up the dressing. My friend had the burger and fries. It was cooked to exactly her temperature preference. The fries came with a homemade aioli which I could have eaten with a spoon. I highly recommend the fries. Our first time in the new restaurant in the old 3 palms. They've upgraded the decor and changed the tables and it feels like an intimate dining experience. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable and informed us about their in house bread that was delicious! We shared some lemon caper Brussels sprout leaves which were crispy and tangy, think piccata sauce over crunchy Brussels. Our entrees were the pierogis and salmon. Both were great. The only critic I have is more pork in the pierogis. They use pork belly which is quite fatty and very little meat. While delicious it left me wanting a bit more protein. Our waiter also told us about their lunch options and sandwiches on their home made or locally made breads and we'll definitely be back to try them. read more

Being from Charleston, SC, the mecca for foodies, my expectations for an excellent meal are very high and Argyle exceeds all expectations. When scheduling my birthday dinner of seven people, I knew Argyle would be the only local restaurant to accommodate the dinner party with incredible food and service. We ordered the Spicy Ahi Tuna and were blown away! Honestly, this is one of the best dishes I've enjoyed anywhere and the whole table loved it! We also enjoyed the Sloppy Joe's which was a surprise favorite as well - rich and flavorful, elevated and yet, still comfort food. My main entree was the Salmon which was just perfect. Beautifully cooked, melts in your mouth, tender, flavorful, without being overly dressed. Other favorites enjoyed by the table were the Scallops and the Garlic Noodles. Everything was well-executed and delectable. Wonderful table service by our server Kassi, who was able to give thoughtful recommendations about every dish on the menu. Love the ambiance. I had not heard about Argyle till Ashley told me she had made reservations for Valentines Day here. I of course had to check out the menu early and liked what i had seen. The weekend before Valentine's Day we were called and let known that they would have a prefixed menu and that it would be $99 a person. I did think that sounded a little high but again didn't really have much time to change plans so we went with it. We arrived a little early for our reservation and were quickly taken to our table. I did like that it was very nicely done up and the restaurant was on the driving range though you could only see that for so long since it was getting dark. I looked over both the drink and dinner menu and went with a Dirty Vodka Martini with Bleu Cheese Stuffed Olives. Don't know what is was but just wasn't feeling bourbon that night. I started looking over the dinner menu which was a Local Strawberry and Butter Cake Lettuce Salad, and appetizer (I did the Jumbo Diver Scallop), an entrée (I did the Roasted Korubuta Pork Rack), and a dessert which I had the Corn & Brown Butter Madeleine. Our drinks and salad came out pretty quickly and I was a big fan of both. They did a good Dirty Martini (switch I still can't figure out what I'm doing wrong) and the salad was also very good. I'm normally not a sweet/fruit salad person but I would I gotten it again. My Jumbo Diver Scallop came out soon after. I was very happy to see that it was 2 Scallops and no just 1. They were cooked perfectly and was for sure better then Ashley's Black Truffle Risotto. My entrée is which I had the hardest time selecting but the waitress told me the Roasted Korubuta Pork Rack was her favorite of the options and I don't get pork that often and if it's done right i always enjoy it. The Roasted Korubuta Pork Rack was very good and cooked perfectly. The fatty corners were caramelized and crispy making for the best bites. I also tried Ashley's Braised Lamb and Gnocchi which was also very good. We think we made the right decisions. I will say dessert was just fine and the most boring part of dinner. Not bad but would have thought they would have been better. I will say again the think was price was a bit high. Could have maybe used a glass of champagne or sparking wine included with dinner but that's just me. In the end we had a nice night, enjoyed our food and found a new restaurant we liked so i would say that's a win! read more

Amazing place. We were in Jax for a few days and ended up going there twice. We filled up on appetizers and drinks the first time. The second visit we had more mains. I had the chicken pot pie which was just crazy good. The Argyle Fashioned was really great as well. Overall it was a really great experience. The space amazing with indoor and outdoor covered seating, with sweeping views of the Yards course. Daniel was our server both days and treated us very well. This was our second dining experience since Three Palms left The Yards. We chose to be seated in the patio because the inside area is very loud. In November in the evening one would expect the heaters to.be on. They weren't. I was cold with a sweater and two jackets. Compared to Three Palms, the menu is very limited and pricy. It was surprising to see a charcuterie board priced at $65: twice the price of most fine dining restaurants in the area. The menu is also very limited. We had the ribeye steak which was excellent but arrived with absolutely no sides. At that price point a couple of fingerling potatoes and green beans would not have added to the cost for the restaurant. The most annoying thing was the 3% credit card charge for not paying cash. I know that restaurant will complain that this is fee that is charged to them. This is also a fee that is fully tax deductible as a business expense. They also have to claim the fee as income so why charge it and look petty. We won't be returning any time soon. read more

I understand a seasonal offering, but there was no obvious theme here. Random pasta dishes, chicken pot pie, steak and curry were among the options. We ordered the bread which was the best part of the meal. We got the beat salad which had very little flavor despite its beautiful appearance. We also had the tomato salad, which honestly the golden beets were the star of. Some of the tomato tasted like what I would imagine windex tastes like. There was no salt and pepper on the table. The waiter was seem very sporadically to ask. We ordered the pork chop which could not be altered according to the chef which basically was pork katsu. It was a cut up, fried pork cutlet. It was very oily, tho it was perfectly cooked. The horseradish type sauce was very off putting. The curry shrimp were undercooked, but the sauce was really good. If this was served on rice as a meal cooked well, it would have been great. The drinks were ok. Some were very strong, some had no evidence of alcohol. I guess it depends on who made them. Overall this place has a sports bar vibe with a high end price tag. I don't plan to return. read more
