Came here on a Thursday night after a work function and wanted to just relax and have some drinks. To our surprise there was an amazing pizza and wing menu that we went overboard on. 2 big orders of wings and 2 pizzas for 8 of us; know what...make that 4 each! (Yeah, 2 was plenty but damn it was soooo good! Drinks were plentiful and just the right amount of mix. Servers were on point and made sure we were alright. It was also trivia night! Write down the answers and bid your points. Put those phones away because cheaters get called out and disqualified! Co-located with V Pizza, this was a great place to stop for a cold one on a hot day in Jax Beach. The pizza looked good but just wanted a drink. Can't go wrong with happy hour all week then happy hour that goes on ALL DAY on Sunday Funday! Sweet cocktail menu. Quite extensive. Awesome deals. And they have V pizza right next door and connected to order food! We came in a Sunday night so we had some delicious $8 painkiller cocktails and a Manhattan. So I have some mixed feelings on this. First and foremost I love V pizza and anything they are associated with. However, I came here expecting a tiki bar. This is not a tiki bar but a bar with tiki drinks and some tiki decorations. Hubby and I sat at the bar and were prepared for a fun night with our first date without kids in a year and a half. I can't believe I had never been to Flask N Cannon before! We got to try their drinks at the Yelp High Stakes Soirée and knew we had to check this place out! Amazing cocktails & Delicious food! I dropped in on a Friday evening after work for a quick work week wind down with a GF and fellow elite. It was as busy as you can expect on a Friday night. Nearly all of the tables were full, but I quickly grabbed a table near the windows, perfect for people-watching. Our server quickly wiped down the table and took our orders. We both ordered the Don, which is a tequila-based cocktail, not too strong or too sweet. The perfect way to wet our palate before our food arrived. I ordered a 5 piece of cryin Hawaiian wings that remind me of a Caribbean jerk with a hint of sweetness. I also ordered a whole Carnivora pizza with leftovers for the next day in mind. Unfortunately, they did not sell the pizza stones at this location, which is the preferred method of reheating this wood-fired pizza. Everything was cooked to perfection, like lick your fingers good. Located on the West side of North 1st Street, is Flask & Cannon. It's a large place with plenty of table seating and seems to be best known locally for its innovative cocktails. For food, the main item seems to be pizza and varying bar foods. However, some seem unique like their Calabrian Chili and Cryin Hawaiian wings. And the fact that they have a very good Bolognese done with a San Marzano tomato sauce, makes it an OK place for lunch or nibblings. As it has no open-air bar or dining, and is not on the beachside of the street, it usually doesn't get overcrowded. But. As it has a lot of four to a table seat, even with a good crowd there is usually plenty of room to be comfortable. I didn't try any of their food but what I saw and smelled seemed good. Highly recommend the frozen cocktails as there are many great flavors and you will definitely taste the rum! As this is a tiki bar, any rum based drink is a great order. We've been here twice now since my move to Jacksonville. We ate Vs Pizza both times (separate review for that) but the first time we just drank beer so I didn't want to review based in 1 visit and some beers. This time, we had the pizza again but we had some mixed drinks and it was far busier. During both visits our servers were attentive regardless of how many tables they had. We tried the hallowed out pineapple drink for 2. It tasted great, but you're definitely paying for the novelty. We knew what we were doing when we ordered it though, so that's on us, not the restaurant. My only (slight) negative is that I thought there was WAY too much ice in our Mai Tais. That's not enough to knock it down a full star though. I can live with too much ice in one drink. This is a really fun environment with a great (separate) pizza place to get food from. My husband and I stopped by here on the way home to NC from our wedding in Key Largo. Neither of us had been to Jacksonville before, but this bar was tiki and had food so we were excited to give it a try! It's always a good sign when you can't decide which drink to get because they all sound good. We went with Sciggins Made Me Do It and the OG Flask Zombie because I love cinnamon in my tiki drinks and we also love mezcal. We had a debate over which one was best but ultimately decided they were both delicious in their own way! Service was fantastic. Super fast and attentive! For food we ordered a macaroni and cheese appetizer that was delicious. The pizza was the most unique pizza I've ever had. It was Hawaiian style but had nutmeg on it. So good! The bar was pretty loud, but it was trivia night, so it's to be expected. We typically go for a speakeasy style tiki bar, but it's great to check a new one off the list and we love the fact that they had great food that's not your typical tiki bar style of food. I wish they had mugs to add to our collection, but we will keep up with them to see if they get any more in stock! read more

Found this hidden jewel after a day at the beach. We were looking for a place to have some drinks, food and watch the Jaguars game. Found all 3 here. Flask and Cannon is a bar and is hooked on to Vs Pizza. Vs Pizza is very good and we always enjoy their food. Bree was our server and she took care of us during our entire visit. I had a bucket of beer for $15 and my wife had some wine. We had great seats with a great view of the game. There is a full bar. We loved the fact that we got a great game and bar experience without being crowded together like sardines. I always love a tiki bar with fruity cocktails. This jax beach bar shares a space with yummy V Pizza- which honestly helps this review to a 4/5. Been multiple times- some cocktails better than others, nothing that really knocks my socks off. Last Saturday night arrived with 6 other friends, was a bit confusing whether we should order at the bar or wait for table service. Turns out we had table service. Waitress tried but she had most of the room to cover. First round of drinks came out pretty quick. I enjoyed my blue Hawaiian, my friends enjoyed their beers & cocktails. But then an awkward thing occurred- the waitress returned with another full round of the exact same drinks! Yet we did not order them. At first I gracious accepted- free drinks made in duplicate! But the waitress informed us we would have to pay for them. Um.... what?!? If we refused them they would have to be thrown away. Why should we pay for them? Why did the waitress not try to reach a solution or get a supervisor? In the end we decided to not be confrontational, drank the drinks, paid & left. But I can speak for most of my friends that that incident left an awkward taste in our mouths. read more

Flask and Cannon is a cool spot in Jax Beach. It is beside V's Pizza. In fact you can walk back and forth between the two businesses without going outside. You are able to order food from V's Pizza, either on the pizza side or the Flask and Cannon side, and have it served to your table in Flask and Cannon. Pretty cool set up! My last visit was Valentine's Day. My friends and I stopped in for a pizza and some chicken wings. Flask and Cannon had a lovely shandy beer called Radler grapefruit. So light and refreshing! I'm giving three stars because we were told someone would wait on us at our table. But when we attempted to get the waitress's attention, after being seated nearly 10-15 minutes, she looked at us and then walked away..... never to return. So every time we wanted a drink we had to go to the bar. It was crowded that night, but not packed. I'm hoping my next visit the service will improve so I can increase my rating! read more

My brother in law was visiting and asked us to take him somewhere to get a good martini. Thanks to Yelp, we ended up at flask & cannon. We walked in and the place was very spacious so it was easy to sit and have a drink while socially distancing. There are no servers so you have to walk up to the bar to place your order. My brother in law said he actually enjoyed that part because the bartenders were quick and friendly and you're able to watch them make your drinks. Drinks were just strong enough and the ingredients for the mixed drinks were fresh. One benefit to drinking here, even though we weren't planning on eating, we stayed long enough to get the munchies and V pizza is actually attached to the bar.
