I knew we were in for a good 4th of July when I walked into Lemon Bar and saw an Olympic Russell Westbrook Jersey, an NC State Dennis Smith Jr. Jersey, and a back tattoo that read "Never Forget Family." Can it get more patriotic? We were fighting for one of the picnic benches under one of the 20+ white Truly umbrellas in the open air space, but ended up sitting on a high bench towards the back as it was damn near standing room only. I got us the first round of drinks, a bucket of 5 high noons that was $25. Coming from NYC, I felt like I had just robbed a bank. That's $50 in the city... I didn't realize until I came back that our bench directly bordered the beach. You could see and smell the ocean. I don't know why that tripped me out so much, but I really started appreciating life: Does it get better than being at a casual, borderline trashy, beach bar with the wind blowing lightly on your skin surrounded by people you love while a mediocre DJ mix plays in the background? It was at this point my Big Sis asked if I wanted a Zyn. I'd never had one before, but my nickname in high school was "Mr. I'll Try Anything Once," so I popped a 6mg pouch in. I realistically probably wouldn't have, but I saw Tucker Carlson talking about how he takes them when he interviews people and I love this arc he's been on lately. Say what you want about ole Tucky but he's a good interviewer, and interviewing Putin is crrraaaaazzzzyyyyyyyyy. I packed the Zyn high and tight and I totally get the hype tbh. I was LOCKED in right away and felt great. However, after about a minute, my Big Sis was like "Dang 6mg for your first time is a lot lowkey..." 10 seconds after she said that I began to get a little nauseous and lose control of the wheel. I guarantee if she hadn't have told me that I would have been 100% fine. The power of the human mind is so crazy. Choose wisely. I ended up being okay, but was RIGHT on that line of falling off the deep end. You ever just go too far and feel like you are in a Hunter S. Thompson novel? Yeah, I was looking right at that line. I don't even remember why, but I hit 22 push ups because somebody said I couldn't. DOUBT ME NOW! That helped work the nausea off too. We then ordered some food that consisted of Mozzarella sticks, Chicken Tenders, Fried Banana Pepper Rings, and some fries. This meal saved us. We were collectively starting to go downhill as a group, and it was the perfect bar food to bring us back to life. They should bundle this and have it on the menu as "The Phoenix." I loved my time here at Lemon Bar and will romanticize it to the day I die, idgaf. Jax beach in general reminds me so much of Hermosa Beach when I was growing up in LA. So much grit, so much character. In closing, no matter what you do, no matter where you go, no matter who you become: Never Forget Family. Ig @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews

I'd heard so many people rave about this place so I was super excited to try it. The drinks were great, but the food was definitely subpar. I had the Beaches Lemonade and the Blackberry Margarita; both were good. Nice, heavy pours. I ordered the tacos and they all just came out bland, and drenched in heavy sauces. I did enjoy the ambience here, the the servers were all great, and the location is good. I could see myself coming back for drinks after doing some activities nearby. But I definitely won't be back for a meal.

The Lemon Bar has ambiance that cannot be beat. One of the few places right on the water that has a casual chill atmosphere. The menu includes burgers, tacos, great tropical cocktails. But it doesn't even matter what you order because nothing brings down the vibe. Come in right off the sand if you want. It doesn't just feel like you're at the beach, it feels like you're in the islands

This is the best local beach bar experience for a sunny day since it's all outdoors and right next to the beach. It's in walking distance to many cute shops, bars, and other restaurants too! Make sure you try the frozen lemon bar drink. On the menu it just says vodka and ice cream as the ingredients but it has a ton of different citrus juices and a little cranberry so it has a really nice flavor and consistency.

Ambiance is great, beach side open concept outdoor bar. With a small stage for shows outdoors. Despite multiple staff and hardly any customers the service was almost non existent. We were looked at and ignored and had to initiate contact. The drinks are fantastic. The food was dry and barely edible.

Fun outdoor beach bar! We had a beer (blue moon) and lemon drop drink. Husband said his beer was "cold and wet" my lemon drop drink was good not too sweet. My go to drink is a lemon drop martini but they can't make martinis so this wasn't a bad substitute. Service was good but when I asked for an ice water I was pointed to the igloo cooler that had been out in the sun. Went to bar and asked for an ice water and bartender there (Kelsey) was more than happy to serve me an ice water. It was a fun oceanfront bar and we'll be back.

If you've never been to the Lemon Bar, you should definitely try it. I have been coming here since forever. It's been a tradition to kick off the warm weather and usher in the sunshine with a drink at this iconic beach bar. If you love frozen drinks, they have a few and the Lemon Bar Freeze has been the signature drink as far back as I can recall. Their signature cocktails are also worth a try. If you prefer drinks that are not sweet and more refreshing, I highly suggest the melon squeezer (I don't add the simple syrup) or the Ocean Cucumber. Not in the mood for a mixed drink? They have wine, beer (draft/can) and a variety of seltzers available. Unfortunately, zero photos of the food--was in the moment with some loved ones. But we threw down. We had blackened fish bites, grilled chicken tenders, blackened shrimp, onion rings, corn nuggets -- it was all good and service was quick. It's typical bar bites, but they're the perfect nomnoms to have with a few drinks. Drink service was great -- love how any server can assist you. The live music is always jammin. And it's such a unique bar being that it's tucked right behind the sand dunes -- just steps from the beach. BTW - the bar is outdoors. Parking in this area can be a challenge. If you're able to bike, there are plenty of racks. If you decide to drive, there are several parking lots and street parking scattered throughout the beaches town center area and across a few blocks, but it's pay for parking by license plate. Make sure to download the Flowbird app ahead of time to pay. If not. there are meters in each zone.

Lemon Bar is a staple in Neptune Beach. It's the perfect beach bar with refreshing drinks and the ideal food menu for a day by the beach. The wings are always great, no matter the sauce flavor you choose. The sandwiches are delicious as well, and they're a sleeper for one of the best cheeseburgers around. The coconut shrimp is great as well, but a pretty small portion for the price. Definitely one of the best places to go on a cool day to relax and chill

I'm giving this place 5 My friend and I took a walk on Neptune beach then to the lemon bar for lunch . We sat ourselves at the last high top table . Immediately a server came to take our drink order. While waiting for our drinks another server came over and took our food order. We both ordered the burger and fries. While waiting for our meal we looked around at the crowd. Every table was full, everyone seemed happy - the sun was shining what is there to be mad about on a gorgeous day ? Our meal arrived and was appealing to the eye and more appealing after the 1st bite. Another server came to ask how everything was. By the end of the meal 8 separate servers asked if we needed anything else. Talk about attentive this is a great place to go with family or friends for a Sunday funday !!

I've been a fan of the Lemon Bar since moving to Jacksonville five years ago. This is one of my favorite places to take out of town visitors. I love the relaxed vibe and atmosphere that they offer. I also love that you can find all walks of life there. It's not just a bar for 21 year olds. It can be tough to find seating but if you are able to find seating I love how easy it is to order. The waitstaff float around and aren't assigned to specific tables so you can usually grab anyone you see come by. The Gatorade is my favorite to get there but they have a great assortment of frozen classics (daiquiri, pina colada, mudslide etc) too. They also serve food and I love ordering their grilled chicken tenders. They are also perfectly cooked and very juicy. They also will have live music which I love!

Today felt like the beginning of a whole new kind of adventure for us…read more Susan and I recently bought Sea-Doos with one goal in mind, exploring the coastline and Intracoastal while discovering great waterfront bars and restaurants along the way. This was our first real outing, and with friends joining us, we launched from Palm Valley Outdoors, one of our favorite places, and headed north toward Jacksonville. Our destination was Mavi Waterfront Bar & Grill, a place we had found once before completely by accident while searching for a boat rental location. That first visit left a strong impression on us, so arriving this time by water made the experience even more memorable. Pulling up by Sea-Doo was an adventure in itself. We got our first real chance to test out the bumpers, managed to get docked, grabbed our dry clothes from the watertight compartment, and headed inside feeling like we had already earned our first drink of the day. We chose a table out on the deck near the live band, which turned out to be the perfect spot. The music was phenomenal, the view of the boats added to the atmosphere, and the bit of shade over our table was a welcome bonus on a warm Florida day. It had exactly the kind of laid back waterfront energy we were hoping for. The drinks set the tone right away. Their rum drink is one we would absolutely recommend to anyone who enjoys a beachy cocktail with a tropical feel. Susan and her friend ordered the cucumber vodka drink, which was bright, refreshing, and better than expected. Even for someone who is not usually a cucumber fan, it was surprisingly enjoyable. For lunch, Susan ordered the seared ahi tuna, and it was outstanding. Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared, it was one of those dishes that immediately stands out. I went with the Philly cheesesteak sub, and while the portion was a little smaller than I typically prefer, the flavor made up for it. It was genuinely excellent, and the French fries were every bit as good as we hoped. We also started with the conch fritters, and this is where Mavi really shines. Conch fritters can be hit or miss, especially when you live close enough to the Bahamas to know what good ones should taste like. Mavi does them right. We had them on our previous visit and made sure to order them again this time, and they absolutely delivered. Our friends also had the Bam Bam shrimp, which looked fantastic and earned rave reviews from the table. What makes Mavi especially appealing is that it feels a little hidden, like one of those places you almost have to know about to find. That only adds to its charm. The drinks are strong, the food is satisfying, the atmosphere is lively, and the waterfront setting makes the entire experience feel like an occasion. For us, this visit was about more than lunch. It was the first stop in what we hope becomes a long series of waterfront adventures by Sea-Doo. Mavi Waterfront Bar & Grill gave us exactly the kind of experience we were looking for, relaxed, fun, flavorful, and just a little more special because we arrived by water. Culinary Duo Verdict: Mavi is well worth seeking out. Go for the conch fritters, stay for the view, and arrive by boat or Sea-Doo if you can, because it makes a great waterfront spot feel even better.
