Inside smoking allowed and is prevalent. Wife is allergic and I did not want to get hooked again. We walked out.

I went to this place and was not a fan. The bartenders were discriminatory about who they chose to serve.

If you are on St. Simon's island, go here for a good time. Think Johnny's Hideaway goes coastal. I can see everyone having a good time and it definitely being a judgement-free-zone. Went for lunch with my wife and found Megan our server to be very nice & helpful with menu items. My wife had the Grouper Finger Basket w/fries. The fish was cooked nicely and the shoe string fries were tasty. Comes with both tartar & cocktail sauces. I had the Gyro w/Brussel sprouts including the Thai sauce & honey sauce for dipping the sprouts on Megan's recommendation . She also recommended the pasta salad which I will try next time. Megan was spot on with dipping the sprouts in both sauces! The Gyro I had was with lamb, tomato, lettuce & tzatziki sauce. The meat was hot & veggies w/sauce were cold and was fantastic! From the ambience standpoint there weren't a lot of folks at lunch time other than those playing cards or mahjong which was about 10 people. But, there is a large bar that is fully stocked, ample high top tables for eating or drinking etc. & quite a few pool tables & video game room. My only knock is no draft beer & they serve Pepsi products. Other than those 2 items, I will come back & try dinner time as I believe the vibe will have more energy. The food again was very good and they seem to do a good take out business too. Looking forward to trying the dinner hour time frames.

She not only kept up with all of our shenanigans but gave it right back, which made the experience even more fun. Attentive, personable, and just a great vibe all around. We started with peach martinis (highly recommend) along with the fried okra, crab soup, wedge salad, and beet salad. Everything was fresh and full of flavor--great way to kick off the meal. For the main course we tried the flounder prepared a few different ways--one fried, one pan-seared, and one bronzed--and each one was fantastic. And then two orders of scallops which were incredibly buttery and cooked perfectly. We wrapped it all up with a slice of Georgia pecan pie that was the perfect sweet ending. Great food, great service, and a really fun night. We'll definitely be back.

The venue is on the smaller side but makes up for it in spades with the adjoining game room with pool, music and arcade games. Lets get back to the subject however, 'dem tacos were quite acceptable. The 3-star rating refers to my opinion that they would not be worth $4 each (versus buy one get one free on their Tuesday promotion) and the service was disappointing. While both the barkeep and the waitress were at max capacity to manage a room full of patrons with a plethora of dining and drink orders, I don't remember a single time we were asked to refill our glasses or how we liked our cuisine. It's the little things, after all. The taco's were in the 2-3 bite range, each being carefully made to order. I was particularly fond of the georgia new york strip steak, paired with chimichurri sauce. The corn tortillas were doubled up and toasted just right to not get too soggy. Another hit was the duck confit carnitas with salsa verde. Very approachable portions and the flavors paired well together. If you're looking for happy hour snacks, I'd recommend 3-4 tacos, a little more if you're seeking to fill your stomach.

I didn't even think to check reviews before booking. We trusted Hilton's website, good reviews…read morethere, as a luxury resort. This is really run like a small, mom and pop hotel, that is severely understaffed. The front desk works extremely hard, seems like there is usually only one person there at a time, and it can be a lot to handle. They are completely out of soap. No soap in bathrooms to wash your hands. Gives off vibes like they do not have enough money to buy the staples to keep this place going. They have scheduled daily "cocktail" hours, like cookies, games, mocktails, etc....... yet, no one manages it, no one there is making the drinks, making the cookies. These are the little things that make "resort" hotels a little nicer. But they don't feel like they need to bother. The pool was closed for remodeling, I wish we were told when we booked, we probably would have stayed at another property. (Yes, you could use their sister property in theory, but that really wasn't convenient for us). It seems like the hotels main focus is golf, keep the golfers happy, and it's good enough. But families, are brushed to the side. The room it self was good. Seems like each room is different. Good amount of space, especially if you are staying for an extended amount of time. I wish there were really glass wear in the room like most Hilton hotels. Shower was disgusting, pretty sure it wasn't stained, just poorly cleaned. You have to request housekeeping, which we typically don't use, but it's nice when you at least see housekeeping regularly so you can give them your trash or get fresh towels. We had no where to put our garbage. Rooms are designed weird, where you enter one door, with your key, just to get access to 3 more doors. So there is 300, 300A, 300B. Which can be very confusing. Some reason, they labeled every room at their hotel with 300. First floor, 300's, Second floor, 300's... The views were nice, it does look nice in the area, nice greenery and small lakes. Big marsh views, for the most part you get privacy, you can open up your windows. But there are people walking their dogs early in the morning.

Gave us all the info that we needed and got us on our way. The room was very clean and spacious. It came with a mini fridge, microwave, a toaster, dishes, and an in room coffee maker. The beds were comfortable too. What I didn't care for is that the hotel rooms are in buildings that are separated from the main hotel and restaurant. For example, we went to dinner at the hotel restaurant and we got caught in a down pour (common to the area) and we were soaked just getting from the restaurant to our car and then from our car to the hotel building. The hotel buildings have five steps up to get to the elevator so getting luggage up and down these steps was not an easy task. There was no ramp that we could find. They also don't offer daily cleaning service unless you request it. And to request it, you have to go the front desk and ask. Not super convenient. There is a golf course on the property, which I think is what makes it so expensive. Unless you're going to take advantage of the golf course I would look for a cheaper property to stay at. Overall, it was OK.
